My replacement DS2 is discharging a white fibrous material that ends up floating in the water in the humidifier tank. Contacted Philips and three months later they sent a second DS2 replacement. This second unit is doing the same thing. Could be the filters breaking down except they are brand new. Not a coincidence since it happened with two machines. I'm assuming that a certain amount of fibers are not settling in the water and are continuing into the airway. I have a feeling there will be more lawsuits once people realize this is happening to their DS2's. Who knows what the health ramifications will be?

I bought another machine, I left the Philips machine in its bag. If Philips fixes it, I'll have it as a backup.

This is ridiculous! The foam is simple as hell to remove and you can clean it out while you're in there making it safer than it was.
