Hey Patrick, I think the reason this type of roll up cover leaks at the front corners is because the weather stripping that sits over the front of the bed leaves a small opening. You can see it at one point in the video. It sucks to wash the truck and open the tailgate to dry the jambs and see a bit of water but at the end of the day, it still does the job. Thanks for checking out the video!

I just installed mine on a 2018 F150. Luckily, it has been raining for 8 hours straight so I got to test my installation. I found a decent leak along on of the sides and some pooling on top of the cover. Hopefully I can make some minor adjustments to fix this.

I can't speak for the leak along the sides but water does tend to pool on the cover for me too. Happened on the 2016 Sierra that had the Truxedo cover as well. It must be due to the design of the soft canvas over the bars that make up the frame. Good luck with the side adjustments, 🤞 for no leaks.

I have had this same cover on my 2017 F-150 for about 2.5 years. It's never been totally waterproof. One "mod" I found helpful was replacing the side rail mounting clamps with an actual name brand Truxedo set I purchased on Amazon. The stock clamps are fiddly to install and not sturdy. They had actually loosened off and the rails were starting to settle deeper into the bed. Full disclosure, my cover only seems to really leak at the seal across the tailgate.

It is holding up great. I don't use the bed of my truck that often so it stays 'closed.' I live in the Midwest and winter has not affected it. I have not noticed any additional leaking over what was shown in the video. I do not take my truck through auto washes.

Does the front flap not go outside of the bed? I keep seeing install videos where people don’t let the front flap hang over the bed. Confused

The flap at the cab is resting on the bed. The flap at the tailgate is not. I tried closing the tailgate with the flap out, the cover does not sit high enough for this to work. Resulting in the flap being inside at the tailgate.

I do not make a habit of checking the bed for water when it rains but it can't be any worse than the pressure washer. My truck sits outside 24/7 and I have not had any issues. I had a gently used Truxedo lo pro QT on my 2016 Sierra and it seeped water at the same areas. Typically the 4 corners. I would not hesitate in suggesting this to anyone. If you watch the install video, one of the labels on the box was from Truxedo, so take that as you may.

My gator always leaks in the front two corners by the back of the cab. My truxedo that I have on my s10 does not leak at all.

@@GavDetails I think it has to do with the weather stripping. It’s not a perfect fit on that end. The weather stripping is wider and sticks on top of the bed rails. (At least on mine) I’m going to try and remove at some point and buy more weather stripping to try and fill in the gaps

That flap goes on top of the tailgate not behind it that's why it was leaking there

Odd...you said it was just installed today, then later you say you never had trouble with any water collecting in a heavy rain, or water collecting inside...

The cover was installed at the beginning of October. If I misspoke, then it was a simple mistake. I had a truxedo cover on my 2016, I may have been referencing no issues with a similar cover. Maybe I will rewatch the video and figure out where the error is.
