I think a lot of us would be lucky to have a life like RIchard and Betty :) Life often has a way of sending curveballs your way, with work, health, money, family and other stresses too often distracting you from what is special, so it's important to remember that the so-called mundane things in life can sometimes ground us and allow us to appreciate the most important things in life and each other. For me this could be laughing with my wife like kids about something and nothing, a long hug at the end of a tough day, listening to our 4 year old daughter sing to herself about anything (pure heaven to me) or just enjoying a bike ride, smelling the the morning air as you cycle along the canal to work, passing behind the bakery; the smell of freshly baked bread mixed with the freshly cut grass along the canal, just stopping to enjoy a coffee and a fresh roll. Don't do it now as I've changed jobs and location, but that was the highlight of my day for years :) Diner day is something that we're definitely going to do though. :)
