I do OMAD, carnivore style and putting on body mass. Enjoying this style, no need to worry about food for the entire day except when coming home in the evening

When you let Mark "rant" or just go on one of his talking points for like a good 10-15mins, some of the most profound things come out of his mouth, it is truly amazing. At the end here around an hour in or so when he starts talking about the calorie equation and how it's not a closed system, there are so many different factors, it's incredible... so many more people need to listen and try to understand this shit because it's absolutely amazing.

My concern with the approach in autonomous driving is the moment when you get into the car and you have an outstanding warrant, and next thing you know the car drives passed the Chilies you mapped out, and now you’re pulling up to the Police department 😂

When you use food as a tool to meet your goals, the relationship with it changes. I’m at the point where I don’t even have or need a cheat meal.

100% agree, most people have Metabolic Issues meaning to high Insulin, so IF is perfect for 50% of Population, Once this is fixed then maybe you can eat 5 times a day like the gurus tell You.

Try this, 1-2 scoops protein mix it with organic coconut oil. Like pudding consistency and eat 1 or 2 tbs. And there you have it fat bomb pudding

So, I've used fasting as a tool to offset a bad day of eating, going over calories or to drop water weight and bloat I can say this, I've stopped using it in that way, and instead the next day I just continue eating as normal, prioritizing protein. Somehow, I've gotten leaner. I think your metabolism adjusts incredibly quick to fasting. And I believe this yo-yo approach was not allowing my BMR to increase. Since I've stopped fasting, intermittent fasting, I've gotten leaner despite eating more food. Its a tool, but should be used seldomly.

That really is a good simple rule that I've been trying to tell people for several years now to not eat after dark. It's pretty simple and that's the easiest way to intermittent fast; you don't have to skip breakfast or skip dinner or skip lunch if you simply just don't eat after dark. People need to develop a better relationship with food and it's a lot easier when hunger doesn't control you

I only have issues with fasting while having nightshifts, I feel I need to shift my eating window to the night which make it really hard energy whise 😢 does anyone have tips or tricks for me, anyone else doing IF while doing night shifts?

I used to do a 22 hour fast three days a week, I adapted to it very well but didn’t really see any benefit- was already metabolically healthy so that’s prolly why, I think if you have a condition that’s related to your metabolism it can be a great tool but as far as I’m concerned we’re all gonna die someday and the fasting community kind of has this vibe that fasting is somehow going ti chest death or add years to your life and I’m just not convinced it will

I believe that fasting can help reset your appetite if you fast lomg enough. When i notice my appetite gets out of control, i have to fast to regulate my grelin levels. Grelin is a son of a gun! 😂

If your nutrient intake initiates an insulin response, your fast is over. Period. Having a protein shake will always break a fast, so if you have one in the morning you are not fasting. This "Oh it's just protein" statement is nonsensical and disingenuous. Just admit those are non-fasting days and not try to pretend that you're still fasting if you have a shake in the mornings.
