I was minding my own business, procrastinating on the internet when the KZbin algorithm directed me to an absolute fever dream. It's a video featuring the cast of #Riverdale playing a game where they try to guess musicals based on a handful of iPhone emojis. Spoiler alert: it....makes no sense. A handful of the cast gets it and immediately seems bored. The other actors are beyond confused. One of the actors looses the will to live in realtime. It's incredible and awful and WHY DOES IT EXIST?

@@lexihall7383 No I totally get what you mean. Glee was highly melodramatic and had a lot of unrealistic plot lines. It was bad but it was kind of self-aware of that and that made it likable. I think Riverdale takes its over the top cheesy dialogue way too seriously, which is what makes it so cringe. They also tried to make the plots more dramatic but it went completely off the rails and now neither the writers nor the actors seem to know what's going on.

honestly, some of the cast is /extremely/ talented just not with theatre centered things. and then they’re talented, but they aren’t put in a good situation. you have to work with what you’re given, and they are not given good material. i feel bad for some of the actors honestly, but they /seriously/ need to either A. put effort into the theatre episodes or B. just not do the theatre episodes !!

The Carrie episode wasn’t awful. However. They then became much much MUCH more then awful Edit: Ok yes I agree that they absolutely did Carrie dirty and it’s literally not good at all. But I think they did worse with the other ones, like the Carrie episode wasn’t the most painful to watch and I’ve seen the musical a few times through so I do know how much they disgraced it. Emily, if your going to use the story lines and score from a musical especially if it is based in high school and about teen and mother bullying and religion, than you respect the score and the story, and you don't change it so that it doesn't make sense, and you as a producer don't bander to get the Broadway community thinking you are going to get more kids into Broadway and then crap all over the restive teams work and screw the composers by drastically changing songs, and giving story lines to other characters who are not in that musical just cause they are part of the river dale cast. if you want to do a river dale musical then ou hire composers and do a river dale musical, you don't screw up two wonderful created musicals just so you can try and get viewers.

Top 8 Heathers (I’ve only listened to 8 versions, that’s why it’s an odd number lol, also don’t hate on me this is just my opinion): 1) The original musical soundtrack with Barrett Wilbert Weed (it is an amazing musical, nothing can replace it) 2) The newer musical soundtrack with Carrie Hope Fletcher (I slightly prefer Barrett and the og musical probably but Carrie does an excellent job and I like the new songs, I Say No is a bop!) 3) The movie 4) Heathers mashup by liana flores (if you haven’t seen it and you want more Heathers content, you need to watch it, she does a great job, I love mashups and this one is my fav mashup ever) 5) Me singing Heathers in my room or in the car when I’m alone (I sound like a dying cat btw) 6) No Heathers (what I mean is that the next two versions are worse than not listening to Heathers at all) 7) Riverdale Heathers (they’re not bad at singing by any means but the choreography and replacement lyrics are just wrong) 8) Tiktok Heathers (the lip syncing is bad but at least each one is short and it’s done to the original soundtrack) I tried to be fair to each version but the last 4 in this list just plain suck in my opinion, no offence to anyone involved in Riverdale or tiktok Heathers

Yes I think. They even lower the key sometimes. I think a lot of musical songs are not in her vocal range but they give her anyway because she is one of the main character, but that just... doesn't work.

TO BE FAIR, my first instinct upon seeing the "into the woods" emojis was to go with Wicked as well. But also, Les Mis was a DEAD giveaway with just the french flag, and the Les Mis movie was super popular and had Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway and a bunch of famous movie actors and actresses so the only way to not get it is to either really not know anything at all about any musical ever or to fail on purpose
