Just took my 2016 scat pack out to run some errands! Love it , sometimes I wanna get a Hellcat but no need , my challenger runs like a bat 🦇 out of hell lol and it’s mostly stock !

I can tell you this, after having my Hellcat for about 3 weeks now I can honestly say I had just as much fun with my Shaker Scat Pack 392. The only thing I like about the Hellcat more is the long 1st gear in the manual; you don't have to shift as much and you can get up to speed (1st gear is good for about 60mph) much faster. Otherwise the 392 is a blast to drive.

Mike! Hey, buddy, thanks for the sensible reviews you do on Challengers. I just pulled the trigger on the SRT 392, 6.4-liter (destroyer grey with black racing stripes, Laguna leather). But here's the twist: I'm buying it here in Germany! In the land of BMW, Porsches and Audis, I'm going for this 'Mercan beast. To make matters more "illogical", I'm trading in my perfectly sensible 4-year old Audi Q5 for this muscle car. This is my first-ever non-sensible purchase (I previously had a Ford Fiesta, Grand Cherokee, and a Honda Accord back in the States). In short, I have no idea what I'm doing. But I do know I want to have fun on the autobahn with something loud and non-Teutonic. I am also planning to take this Challenger when I drive down to the south of France from here (Stuttgart, home of Porsche and Mercedes) for my friend's wedding in their quiet wine-country, Monet-setting 'hood of Provence. I will most likely hit you up on email for tips on how to maximize "fun-nage" on this. I'm expecting shipment by late June. Cheers! AL

I have to agree . The srt makes runs to the grocery store a whole lot more enjoyable! I do enjoy my RT shaker as well but the SRT is just a absolute blast..and my brakes make noise as well!

Phillip DeCubellis PhD whats the solution to this break noise . It really takes away from its presence coming down road and stopping at a light

@@SPCE_BOYY Most likely the easiest solution would be to buy some good quality wheel cleaner/ brake dust remover spray and wash them out pretty often. (Doesn't mean you need to wash your whole car)

Loving your channel bro. I've been binge watching it over the past 4 or 5 days. I enjoy listening to your perspective on cars and the rambling (in a good way) of your thought process on what/why you do the things you do. I can relate to most , if not all of what you say. Great videos! I have a white 2016 392 as well. Had it about 14 months, its my DD with about 13k miles. Couple things I’d recommend - Barton shifter and skip shift eliminator. I also changed out the brake pads, no more brake dust and very little loss of performance. Other things I did was diode dynamics fog lights and American brothers fuel door paint matched white with a black trim ring.

My brakes squeak too sometimes. Good to know its nothing major. Thought id have my car out of storage 2 weeks ago. But winter will not go away here :(

Totally agree Mike with your thoughts. I have a 2016 392 SRT Challenger and noticed my motor seems to be stronger and pull harder than from day-1. I too suffer from with squeaky brakes from time to time. I'm also searching for a Hellcat, my preference is Go Mango with black carbon fiber stripes and a 6-speed. Mine is daily driven with 11,000 miles and has Redline Red paint with silver stripes and a 6-speed. I love it... but want more.

I had my 16 392 M6 challenger about a year. Loved it. 100% agree on all points you make. The longer I had it, the more I liked it. I traded it in on my 16 A8 Hellcat. I don’t regret it one bit. As nice as the 392 is. You can’t compare it to the Cat. They are two different cars. I will say the 392 has a more traditional muscle car sound. Because of the overlap and stroke. And it’s a little more animated when going through the gears. The Cat is smoother . More or less pins you to your seat. You definitely need to practice restraint because you can easily brake the tires lose at 60mph. 100+ comes up real quick,car doesn’t even break a sweat . Your gonna love it!!!

Yes, my 5.7 definitely got better power and MPG wise after it had some miles on it. I now have a 392 and it was stiff when I first got it (25 miles on it) and it too has loosened up as it gets miles on it, but it is still a baby. I fully expect it to get better performance and MPGs after it gets a few thousand miles on the engine.

Agree about the steering wheel. Have a 16 SPS and switched out for the SRT wheel. Night and day difference. The RT wheel was slippery, the SRT one is hefty and grippy. Only thing I don't like about it is the plastic bottom.

My challenger keeps getting better getting new tires for it it should hook up really good with the suspension work I've done on my 6.1 keeps getting better I don't know what to do but keep them

I heard somewhere the breaks are meant for heavy track use and the squeaking goes away after they get hot or some shit. You talk so fast I feel like I'm going to have a fucking panic attack

That goes even more so with Carbon Ceramic brakes ppl choose to put on cars... It's totally pointless unless you're rich and don't care or just want "that look" bad enough. They're made for track use only.. not like normal city driving and highways.

First of all thanks for the shout out! It’s appreciated. Yep the Scat, Daytona, and TA all comes with the standard steering wheel and for me it just doesn’t feel right. I can agree that the 392 just gets better with age. In December I will have had my car for 3 years. I’ve enjoyed all the good memories with it.

I send the oil off to the labs after every oil change. At 10K miles, the engine isnt anywhere near broken in according to the numbers.

No buddy. The Laguna leather is free for the SRT 392 and up. Even the choice for the alkantera is also free. I think it's included in the price of the vehicle. Many ppl don't know that. The challenger has every feature as standard except the tech package, sunroof, and mopar wireless phone charger. The charger SRT 392 has everything except the harman kardon sound system, tech package, sunroof, and cargo net

Mr Scowl Face The window sticker for this car lists the laguna package as a $1795 cost under “optional equipment”, along with the sunroof, tech group and summer tires. Harmon Kardon is listed as standard. This is a 2015 so it may be different for later models.
