Change the reservoir because it has a filter in it.

So, I see where I screwed up. I have been a truck mechanic for 38 years so working on cars is not always easy for me. My daughter drives a 2009 BMW 328i which has been a good car. But, I replaced the power steering pump about a year ago because it was leaking. I refilled it with McKay power steering fluid because it said that it works on all cars. I got all the air out of the system by pulling a vaccuum on the reservoir with a vacuum pump. (that's how we do it on trucks). The pump has never been quiet since I replaced it. I guess I should have used the correct fluid. Maybe I will get some and flush out the McKay fluid. Hopefully the pump isn't damaged.

I just got a bmw 328i sedan the Electronic Power Steering wasn't working i got another one but isn't working is the same thing i got a new bmw obd scanner nd show a code of no communication

Doctor ... not related to this but a question for you. I have an X545e in the US. I only get approx 30 miles on a full electric charge and know that the battery is the same as what is used in Europe where it gets closer to 40 miles. Is there anything I can do without voiding the warranty to get more miles on a full charge? Tx!

Hello I have an E60 525XI It keeps showing me transmission malfunction on the dash whenever I press the throttle hard, it gets stuck in one gear. I found a way to overcome it for a limited time but the warning sign keeps coming back Please can you help?
