because they live their music! they are so much into it with their heart. Nowadays there are so many bands forcing to get more and more popular, by betraying their own principles. There are great bands nowadays too, but they play music like their older heros (traitor (play thrash metal like sodom, kreator) or visigoth, they could become a big heavy metal band

I have always been critical of older bands getting back together because I almost never find them even close to as good as they used to be. I would rather just enjoy the great music they already made. I shook my head when I heard my favorite band from the 80's Dokken was doing this. I have to be honest, this is awesome. I know George and Jeff have kept their chops. I have seen them play live in recent years, but Mick is pretty damn good too. Don did a great job starying within his current range to sound great too. I question how he would sound live, but this studio version is great. It's great to hear new music from the original band. Dokken rocks!

Dokken is a phenomenal band. I grew up with these guys in the 80's & they sound just as good perhaps even better now then they did back in the day man. I love the guitar riffs, thunderous percussion, & Don's harmonic voice which gives this band such a signature sound. I have a sentimental attachment to these guys since they were the 1st metal band I ever saw live on stage. They were my first exposure to metal just as I was learning about quality groups in this musical genre. Their bridges, hooks, & vocals are 2nd to none & Don's voice can still be heard meaning it never gets drowned out by drums or solos on the guitar. I just love these guys because they can switch from passionate ballads to shake the rafters rock n roll so seamlessly. Fantastic fellas! It is a pleasure to welcome you back into the bring the house down fold. :) Nice.

To be fair Mark, I haven't heard that much post Lynch material, guess it's been hard for lots of bands from that era to stay relevant to today's scene. I saw the classic line up a couple of times, but Don is not a great live singer from what I experienced and I loved their studio material.
@kitoyobeni16 жыл бұрын
Isn't that the point? Why would you want the classic lineup to reunite and release modern style music? That's not what these guys do. Jeff tours with Foreigner with only one original member lol. George is the one that experiments, and really it's only his projects that sound more like the 80's and 90's that really do well. Lynch Mob does reasonably well, as does his stuff with Michael Sweet, but how many even heard Project Nfidelikah with Angelo Moore? Or are aware of Ultraphonix with Corey Glover coming in August (same backing band as Nfidelikah)? People expect a certain sound after a while, and it's what these guys excel at.
