I said I was gonna continue this rant and so help me, I will. Finally, I decided to end it with the original lyrics, not only as a callback to the original song, but to, again, throw those words back at Stolas. Yes, Blitz did in fact ask him to look his way, just like he wanted, but not for the reasons that he thought he would. It’s Blitz’ way of shattering that romanticized image of their relationship, of what it actually meant to be seen by him. In conclusion, I’m upset haha. I hope these things get brought up somehow… Stolas giving him the crystal does not make up for any of these things, but it’s a start. Even so, it still feels like a transaction. The first genuine act of affection is still a material good. Accompanied by pretty words, yes, but he was still giving him something and hoped that would make it right and he would have his affection in return. First off: I *love* your version, it sounds exactly like something Blitzø would say and it just sounded amazing throughout 🥰🥰🥰 Though while I get what you’re saying (Stolas was the one who proposed the deal), despite the class difference Blitzø has *not* been totally innocent in this. Remember: he was the one who sought out Stolas with the intention of stealing his Grimoire in the first place, and once he learned Stolas had misunderstood his intentions he not _sprinted_ with it to steal the book then bed Stolas as an afterthought, I’m guessing to cover his own ass because, infatuation or not, he still stole from a Goetia. Also we never saw how Stolas reacted to the theft, was he angry? Hurt? Amused (thinking this was a game)? Sure the initial spark was Stolas’s crush on Blitzø as a child, but he still took advantage of it for his own gain (we know he didn’t have the business when he met Moxxie and he started it with Moxxie and Millie whose first meeting we have yet to see). Plus Apology Tour has happened since Full Moon … I refuse to judge Stolas more harshly when Blitzø has a looong track record of using and ditching people, some of them he seemed to actually like if not love (Verosika). Just because someone’s the MC does *not* make them a good person. Yes, Stolas still needs to own up to his own sh*tty behaviour, mainly with Octavia, but as it stands right now Blitzø is more to blame in my eyes. @@LadyLeomon Thank you so much for your kind words and for listening!! I appreciate the fact that my lyrics can spark debates that are respectable and open! I think that what I wanted to focus on this song is how Blitz could have felt wronged by the situation. It's not to say that one side or the other is the "right", both these boys are toxic as hell and need to be paired up with therapy first before anyone else 😅 But it's through the online discourse with the hellaverse and the Stolitz fandom that makes the situationship a very one-sided affair. Of course, the show will probably (hopefully?) include the other side properly, so far we've only seen how Stolas has been hurt by having his romanticized version of Blitz shattered, as if Blitz wanted to be put on this pedestal when that wasn't part of the deal at all. And then the show presents these other relationships / situanships to push the narrative of Blitz being a terrible person, something that the audience and even Blitz already knows. And yet, not a single one of those previous relationships have anything to do with Stolas, but it's being used fuel the flames of putting all blame on Blitz because, again, "look how sh*tty he is!" In my opinion, neither owed each other anything because they were not in a relationship. They could hardly be considered friends with benefits, they barely know each other to have anything other than infatuation. The first time Stolas actually sees Blitz for who he is, he didn't like it, and wants to imagine that it's Blitz's own fault that he romanticized him to begin with. But that's just me hahaha. I am seriously hoping that more info is added to the show, this little asshole needs more meaningful screentime, especially since it's been shown that he can be a caring person (look how much he loves his little Luna!). I want to see that sweet sweet ✨ growth and character development ✨, I ache for it hahaha. Again, thanks for taking the time to listen! (and to actually read my super long rant hahaha) 🖤🖤

@@eriellelynx I don’t disagree with anything you’ve said, quite the contrary. We’ve simply know more of Blitzø’s past than we do of Stolas (all we know about him is: is a lonely royal with daddy issues, forced to marry someone he didn’t even like who also hates him in return, loves his daughter (even if he’s terrible at showing it sometimes) and has had a mega crush on Blitzø since their childhood. On the other side we’ve seen way more of Blitzø’s backstory: former circus performer, frequently overshadowed by his more talented friend/crush (who his own father preferred), was forced to steal by his father “to help his mama” (I still hate Cash for that), was sold by his father so he could steal from royalty (possible consequences on Blitzø be damned), accidentally caused the fire that killed his mother and maimed his friend-crush, father blames him for the mother’s death, sister *might* blame him but is just angry at him, dated Verosika and was a sh*tty boyfriend, adopted Loona and seems to genuinely love her dearly, likes to tease Moxxie and Millie but seems to genuinely care for both, isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty, made a successful business all his own (which for an Imp is impressive in the context of the show), was willing to sell himself to keep his business going … we learned all this about him through watching the show to date. We also learned he has a habit of even treating those he cares about badly (with the sole exception being Loona it seems). I’m not saying Stolas is innocent, certainly not! I just don’t think it was all a case of “you do what I say or you don’t get paid”, I honestly think he was so sheltered he saw it as a game despite their class difference. Though a selfish idiot is still an idiot, he has been a bad father to Octavia … but he also gave Blitzø the Crystal and the choice. While I would love to see them together I can also see they would not be a healthy couple, not right now anyway. I’m hoping Vivziepop either has a plan for them to reconnect as equals or for them to not be together at all for both their sakes. Thanks for the discussion, my cat has a vet visit tomorrow (we’ll find out if his medication is working or if we need to start thinking about saying goodbye), this is a nice distraction. What most people seem to understand is Stolas' side. People don't understand Blitz. Every coin has two sides and every story has two perspectives. Blitz has been talked down to by Stolas. He acts like he doesn't see Imps, let alone Blitz as his equal. A good example would be when Stolas dumps everything on the floor for his butler to clean up just so he can cry in the fridge. For the longest time, all Stolas called Blitz for was sex or work. That's it. Stolas only showed Blitz that he was something there to fill his (Stolas) own desires and bedroom. Blitz made walls to keep himself alive. He lets himself be Stolas' "Impish plaything" so he can keep his family and his friends safe and employed. And then, when Stolas wanted to end the deal, he starts with the fact that he's taking the tome back. He doesn't mention anything about the crystal until Blitz is already on his knees. And, Blitz was right. Giving him the crystal seemed like Stolas was done with him and disposing of him.

First, thank you for this comment, because for the longest time I had been confused on Stolas' word choice in Look My Way and I didn't understand why I had this nudging that maybe it wasn't entirely that his word choice was confusing. Ironically, it was coming upon this take on the song that made me think more about it. So -- "Look My Way" as in physically look in his (Stolas') direction, or "Look My Way" as in see from his perspective? Because this take on the song furthers that idea for me. The perspective each of them have are important to see. Just a thought I had!

The closest we got was his rant to Stolas after Full Moon, and that was played for laughs 😅 and his apology to Verosika I guess, but even that was pretty weak. Frankly, I don't know if any of this while be acknowledged in the show, but one can hope haha. Even if it isn't sung, I just really hope for that epiphany. Saying "don't look away" the entire time and then at the end, when Blitzø confronts Stolas and tells him to look his way, like: you made this the way it is, now face me. Full body chills. Also, thank you for bringing light to Blitzø's side. The victimization of Stolas in the series actually irritates the living hell out of me. I'm super glad this exists!

One thing i feel that keeps being done is that everyone has to "pick a side" and say "No, this character is free of everything because that character is actually an asshole" ...guys, they're both terrible. Both of them are trauma induced assholes that want the same thing but each have different coping mechanisms to go through it. Stolas was literally in an arranged marriage, and so his only idea of true love is the cushy soap opera romanticized idea. And if he isn't supported throughout everything, his self loathing and mechanism of "they can't love you so hide away" comes out, which is exactly what happened. Blitz reacted in perceived anger and Stolas jumped to conclusions, pushing him away. Stolas treated him like property, like all he wanted was sex, because he loved Blitz and thought that's what Blitz wanted...when in reality all he wanted was the book. However, trained "superiority" is gonna happen no matter what, so he treated other Imps the same. Making Blitz think he truly didn't care. Meanwhile Blitz has an "asshole" persona that he always has going. He can't bring himself to form genuine bonds with anyone because he's permanently pushing them away, even doing it to Fizz before he finally figured his shit out about the misunderstanding. And just like with every single one of his exes, the moment Stolas tried making it more about feelings than just business or pleasure, he lashed out. He got defensive. He jumped to conclusions. And when Stolas also jumped to conclusions he dug in further, because to him, there's no way Stolas actually cared about him. Neither of them could communicate. Both jumped to conclusions. We're focusing on Blitz realizing his wrongs currently, but that's because he's pretty much our "main character." And it wouldn't have the same impact if they both got focus in that journey. I believe we'll get our times with Stolas, where he realizes where he went wrong. And eventually they'll properly get together. Just remember, this is a show about people in Hell. Everyone is flawed, even our heroes. So it's not a "one or the other"

I love this so much! As much as I love Stolas, he from the start over romanticized Blitz while also making it clear he was only after one thing. Even at the "I hate Blitz" party when Blitz asks what Stolas sees in him, Stolas doesn't answer. Rather he goes off about how he wants and craves to be loved. Which is valid considering his upbringing but the way he says it makes it feel like it doesn't matter if its Blitz who fills that void for him. Stolas is love starved in the worse way, and Blitz has had his heart shattered in so many ways that he is overprotective of it. The imp is an enigma in the best way; he wants that intimacy but it terrifies him. Its why he hyperfocuses on Millie and Moxie so much as well as why he is so determined to be a good dad for Loona. All in all, you captured Blitz perfectly in the lyrics and your voice is beautiful. Sorry for the tangent lol its just my opinions on it so hopefully no one bites my head off

This was so beautiful and well done! I’m always slightly cautious about fan songs that switch the POV, but this was so good and so true to Blitzø’s character and his feelings/mindset. This is exactly why I feel that Stolas is in no way the victim that he’s, so far, being portrayed as. I even feel he is slightly more to blame for what has happened though they both had their parts to play in this unhealthy relationship. Stolas may not realize it but he, subconsciously, looks down on Blitz due to his upbringing. He was raised to look down on imps hence the “impish plaything,” “little ones/little creatures,” and baby talking Blitz, so he does it without realizing it. I’ve always commented that he’s hearing Blitz but not actually listening to him. While Blitz is an asshole, he has been communicating, while roughly, what he feels about his insecurities, how he feels about himself/his depression, and his hesitation in believing Stolas. However, Stolas is too focused on himself to really listen and then respond. Even so, he wishes the best for Stolas because he does care for him and a lot of the other people he has hurt like Fizz and Verosika. These next few episodes coming up look like they’re going to deep dive into these issues and, hopefully, both of them will be able to learn and grow so that they can get their happy ending since Viv has confirmed they’re going to get together during the last episode. I predict that after season 2, the rest of the series is going to focus on them being a couple and learning how to be in a relationship; learning to communicate and more about each other as well as securing this new blended family with Stolas, Blitz, Loona, and Octavia (and any other family/children to come).

I can see why you’d want that though I think she’s not going that route since she plans for Helluva Boss to be four seasons, which isn’t that much time to do all that (considering each season is around 8-9 episodes) unless there’s a time skip somewhere though I doubt it. I think the next few episodes are going to be focused on them individually with them reconnecting in the December episode, which may be longer due to it being the climax and ending of the season. Again, I feel like, going forward, it’s going to be focused on them working as and figuring out being a couple and a blended family, but also individual improvement alongside it. Side note: the lyrics “Though I held you, you’re not close to me. Your praise was merely noise,” hits so deep. So powerful.

Well this song doesn't quite fit their love story given how Apology Tour made it evident that Blitzø does love Stolas, but that being said there's a lot of truth being said here. I've always loved Stolas and I'm happy that he made the step to end the transaction that he proposed for Blitzø's sake, but he went about it in the wrong way. He bombarded Blitzø with emotions. Fear when he took the book away and said he's not obligated to see him anymore, shock and denial at the love confession, and then when Blitzø tried to talk things through and just "get a minute to think", Stolas shut him out. He hurt Blitzø and has been hurting him this whole time. He frequently belittled him (tho quite possibly by accident), and again, this transaction was HIS IDEA. While I appreciate that Apology Tour did call Blitzø out on hurting people so carelessly, I feel like he's been drug through the mud too much compared to Stolas, who's equally in the wrong if not more-so. I genuinely hope that Stolas gets his turn of having to face what he's done to hurt people like Blitzø and his daughter Octavia because, while it might suck to see him hurt, he absolutely has to face what he's done so he can improve as a character.

Awesome video, legit drew a tear. The choice of shots is awesome and the wall effect between him and fiz was a really cool point. I really hope we see something like this is the show with him having a rant/release moment. I did love his chat with Verosika but was sad that it didn't lead to him opening up more and venting. We saw a bit of it but sadly it seems whenever he gets close he falls into his self hatred and depression. Like we saw when speaking with Fiz about the fire. Blitz really needs to get sh*t off his chest and clear his head badly!
