It must be exhausting to narrate every run in these last levels. Decino has to talk us through the goings-on of the level while the game is trying to grief him, and after dozens of attempts, it must get monotonous. Yet Decino pulls it off gracefully, having enough patience and vigor to not only beat some of the hardest video game levels I've ever seen, but also to calmly chauffeur us through the map. This is quality content from an amazing KZbinr! Excellent work Decino!

Struggle : Antaresian Legacy, 32 level pack with amazing blue theme, they 've changed the weapons to new deigned ones, and the monsters are the same with additional new monsters , it was very fun Sunder : Consists of 14 I think, this is simply a slaughter wad nothing else to say

I'm happy to see decino in his element: back in a relatively short, punchy map rather than an hourlong epic. It makes me wonder, though, how this series would fare when put up against the absurd marathons of Sunder.
@eircK4 жыл бұрын
Yea Sunder is what comes to mind right after you're done with Sunlust. But it doesn't lend itself well to decino's format, half way through the wad uvmax records are around half an hour meaning slowplays w/ commentary would take a tooooooon of time. And the new maps... well no one has even beaten them deathless yet. Still they're perfect for streaming so maybe at some sub special?
@bauul.4 жыл бұрын
@@eircK I can see Sunder maps 1-5 or so being viable for Decino's format, but the latter maps I reckon are legitimately not feasible to do deathless. Some take like 4 hours, and of course rate 11/10 on the difficulty.

The real talent here is not how well decino plays doom, but that he can play something this difficult and give a running commentary the whole way through. Ever heard anyone talk about the 'youtube curse?' Well, from personal experience I can say a major factor in it is the multitasking required to play a really difficult game and talk about something the whole way through. What frequently gets glossed over is that multitasking isn't without consequence. The more things you try and do at the same time, the worse you are at all of them. This is why using a phone while driving is so dangerous. (but also why even something like having a conversation with a passenger can be bad in the wrong circumstances...) Anyway, I'm impressed at how well decino manages to avoid the youtube curse. XD

That's kind of a thing about levels with a secret invuln; they're a lot harder on the first playthrough (which is many people's only). Afterwards you know EXACTLY which fight to nullify and things get quite a bit better. Those cyberdemons before the switch is pulled in the carousel room are designed to drain your bfg ammo but with invuln you can spend a lot less with face bfgs and then have a plenty of cells for the actual carousel.
