I'm just about positive my body is reacting to lectins in my diet. I am 100% sure that I have leaky gut syndrome. I suffer from kidney stones and have high oxalate levels. But when I go on a kidney stone free diet I eat food that contain a lot of lectins. When i eat junk food that aren't loaded with lectins i dont have high oxalate levels in my urine. For instance while on my diet I would eat alot of whole grain stuff like whole wheat bread, potatoes, tomatoes, corn in different forms my daily oxalate levels would go up to 51mg a day. Max is 45mg oxalate daily. But when I eat junk food that does not contain such high levels like whole wheat bread, corn, potatoes etc. We know that a leaky gut will allow oxalate to enter the bloodstream because of the junctions in the intestine walls are loose/ open. But when I "dont" eat whole grain foods along with other high lectin levels my oxalate levels were consistently below the maximum limit of 45mg daily. Basically when I ate high lectin foods my oxalate levels were high at 51mg daily. But when I ate a diet lower in lectins my oxalate was consistently lower at an average of 25mg daily. I could never figure out why when I eat " foods with less oxalate " but eat " healthy foods " I develop stones and feel like crap. I now know that the factor is lectin. Because all of those foods I ate to reduce kidney stones and considered healthy are loaded with lectins. I have not started my lectin free diet yet but I am about to start it tomorrow. My gut health has always been in horrible health.

Ancient Arabic tribes did not separate their grains that was introduced later. They used whole semolina or hard wheat grains and whole malt grains. From my observations and reading I noticed that the earliest signs and stories of inflammation happened around the Umaiad and Abbasid Khalif rules when they started separating the whole grains and refining them. It got a whole a lot worse after colonialism that introduced newer strains of wheat and the disappearance of the local varieties.

Most MD doctors are not interested in knowing this kind of info. Doctor in Latin means teacher. Dr Berg is brilliant in knowing how the body works also. I feel that it is valuable to listen to different perspectives. Being predudiced to others making contributions because of the little letters after their name limits acquiring knowledge that could help.

Regarding taking large quantities of vitamin D: I have watched several of your videos where you suggest taking large quantities of vitamin D, and I have not heard you say to take its co-factors K2, magnesium and A. According to Dr. Kate Rheaume-Bleue's book "Vitamin K2 and the Calcium Paradox", if your body is low in K2 (like those who have eliminated dairy) and you take large amounts of D, the lack of K2 can allow calcium to go into tissues like the heart and veins, instead of teeth and bones, causing calcification, which in some cases can lead to a heart attack. As a Cardiologist, I thought I would hear you mention this. Can you speak to this, please?

If you're going to have a reaction to coconut oil I would think. My reaction what occur no matter what coconut oil I used so that led me to believe that it is the brand. Earlier humans did eat fruit year round but for how far back it goes is uncertain. Natives on the praries of North America made pemmican with meat and berries and ate it year round. The Hunza in Pakistan ate dried apricots year round. Drying food is one of the oldest food preservation technologies, it happens by itself in nature. How much was eaten is up for debate, it also may have created a lot of cavities.

Interesting. Corn okay to eat(GMO)? Eating is complicated. Coconut oil helps fight parasites, yet as stated help things get through gut wall. Mixed information from Drs., researchers, et al. When to eat, how to eat, what really is safe & healthy to eat? We are bogging down bc we are uncertain of just about everything. One thing off topic, but I am experimenting with is wearing a zapper, copper, magnets, using botanicals herbs, turmeric et al diy tea mix, grounding( barefeet on concrete; on grass or soil, a person can get parasites from infected ground.) Cast iron, why coated? A pretty informed man says cast iron alone. Is there not just a coming together of the knowledge? Why such conflict? Thank you, I do try most of what you suggest. You are appreciated so much more than mere words can express.💕🎈🌹

How do we go about fruits that grow here all year long since the past melleniums? How do we go about the Plant Paradox Diet since our climates and weather are almost worlds apart? Also, do our DNA and Location have an effect on the ability to break foods different from others? And does it mean advantages and disadvantages on some foods? PLEASE & THANK YOU!

I have lived in many tropical locations and they all still have seasons :) There is a dry season and a monsoon season, so it may be more about wet and dry than temp. There were still seasons for avocado, mango, etc. But he is against eating a lot of fruit anyway except avocados or green fruits like mango, banana and papaya because of the sugars.

Dr Gundry is not an African, I am so here are some corrections. The fig in Africa fruits all year round, and is a staple for many different monkeys and baboons. We eat their fruit too. Africa has plenty of slow stupid mammals, the noisiest is the porcupine, which is the size of a medium sized dog. Easily trapped and eaten. Bees are everywhere, plenty of honey. The big one is omega threes, plenty about on our shoreline, Google Standloopers. And in Africa sheep not beef where herded. Lastly name me one African gold medalists althete, who doesn't consume animal protein?
