I am a wheat farmer in Ontario. I have never used or wanted to use glyphosate as a dessicant on wheat and I have never known of any other farmer who has used it for that purpose. The wheat dries down naturally in the field before harvest . It might come off the field one or two percent moisture above the 14% which is considered commercially "dry", but that is no big deal and it is usually just blended off with wheat harvested a bit latter. The wheat grown here is known as soft red wheat, and is not used for bread making but rather for pasta and baking cookies and such. I never buy pasta made in Canada, instead I pay more for imported Italian pasta. The reason is that all Canadian wheat flour is required by law to be "fortified" with additives. Italian pasta is made without the additives. Maybe that's the reason for the different experience with European wheat products.

So I do appreciate the sheer amount of time he's specialized in this field and related fields, it's more than just interesting but life changing for some. Different strokes for different folks i.e carnivore, keto, just depends on the individual. We need to identify and aggregate the data to identify with individual needs.

@@underated17Elimination science is proof for an individual case like with nuts, oxalates are scientifically proven in studies where a person has too many. Lectins are natural in the body and levels that are too high may be a problem. and that is good science if you grasp what lectins do in the body. This thing about Neu5gc is stretched way out and many disagree with that science and you can plainly see that Gundry was very associative in the way he explained that and it's obvious. He is victimizing people that eat red meat. What I am saying is that I would question anything any Dr says because they are quite often operating in the area of things that are not science by making associative reasoning that is just theoretical and not proven fact. Now it is a fact that certain people are allergic to nuts and this can also be proven. I'm just defending the Carnivore diet and Gundry's explanations I think are very hazardous and flawed.

I’ve adapted to new info too. I ate the “healthy” plants and spices espoused and the salicylates and oxalates gave me near terminal nausea and diarrhea. I was leaky gut tested and that was fine. But I had to go completely carnivore and now can’t eat veggies or fruits without a terrible reaction. I can’t tolerate a little coffee or tea or a sprinkle of turmeric. I have celiac- hereditary, so wheat was never a thing for me and by the time wheat became unpopular and gluten fjree a fad I had no interest in grains or wheat substitutes. I didn’t eat red meat until eating too many polyphenols made me intolerant of plants. Now grass fed beef is about 90% of my calories because the plant diet almost killed me. My weight went from an unhealthy low bmi to ideal on the carnivore diet. I’m much stronger and haven’t been passing out and injuring myself all the time. I find the hypothesis that a genetic change 2 million years ago made meat the main staple in the “human” diet for most of that 2 million years bad, yet we evolved quite well over that time but theorize it will kill us and a diet of year round supply of a huge variety of plants that was impossible until recently will save us from the eating what we evolved on.

Yes, there is plenty of evidence that our ancestors ate mainly meat or fish for 2 million years. They were also intelligent despite not knowing a great deal compared to us today. They crafted tools and harnessed fire and survived many dangers and harsh living conditions. Plants were of little nutritional value 95% of the time but some were of medicinal benefit. What the great doctor fails to tell everyone is that the neu5Gc gene disappeared from the human genome between 2 to 3 million years ago. "The pseudogenization of CMP-Neu5Ac hydroxylase (CMAH) gene likely occurred in hominin ancestors about 2-3 million years ago and resulted with the loss of N-glycolylneuraminic acid (Neu5Gc) and accumulation of its precursor, Neu5Ac, in humans, while it stayed common type of sialic acid in other mammals including chimpanzees". You would think that within that lengthy time-frame the human body would have evolved to cope adequately enough with such a loss while still eating lots of red meat. Otherwise we would probably all be extinct by now and some other hominin species that still had Neu5Ac would be ruling the world.

@emilybh62553 ай бұрын
If you aren't used to eating a species appropriate diet you have to ease yourself into it. The first order of business should be to DETOX your insides and allow your cells to regenerate so you will be able to handle plants. People who think meat is helping them just don't realize that meat is foreign to a frugivorish GI tract which is what humans have. It needs FIBER. There is no fiber in meat.For a while you can eat and the body doesn't recognize it so it stores what it can't process. Eventually it will cause inflammation and you will have to address it.

Peeled tomatoes from Italy state on the can "grown in Italy". Wheat products doesn't have the same claim, because they import wheat, and grow little themselves (that they probably use locally and not import it). Wheat grown within a 20 minute drive from where you live can travel all the way to Europe just to be processed or rebranded and sent back to you, under another country's name.

Lamb has relatively low neu5gc as far as red meats go, so thats my go to. Meat is also one of the best sources of the healthy neu5ac. Again, lamb has higher amounts of neu5ac vs neu5gc, and because they compete for absorption, lamb has a net positive effect in this regard
@joenabbi12143 ай бұрын
So what's the solution to the Neu5gc problem? If you gave your recommendation I missed that.
@-JD563 ай бұрын
Fermented meat had a bacteria that killed the 5gc compound, so it's good to eat fermented meat and sausage.

Neu5gc may displace neu5ac, but the converse is also true - neu5ac also displaces neu5gc. Therefore its the neu5ac:neu5gc rstio thst matters, not arbitrarily avoiding all neu5gc There are some red meats where the neu5ac levels are the same, if not higher, than neu5gc, which would therefore make them perfectly fine to eat

doctors should heal with words. He is not a healer, he is maybe a scientist but science cannot ever figure it out. Stay joyful, do things that matter, and don’t pay too much attention to food. It’s our gluttony that made us to this point. Western lifestyle make a religion out of food, stay simpler. The amount of of rules humans created is ridiculous.

The food you consume is incredibly important. It can harm or heal you so your comment is misinformed

@@dianafoster4936 my message is very informed, it is written after watching many of his videos - form many of his videos that I have watched over time there is nothing left to eat - no single healthy product - but he promises that his miraculous supplements would help. I think that people should definitely eat reasonably healthy but more importantly they should maintain healthy thoughts and emotions that’s what is more important. But to confuse people with various mutually exclusive theories is not what a healer does. I have my view and it does not have to agree with yours.
