Sometimes roleplay in stellaris can be really fun. I created an empire called "children of the ether drakes" in my first days on stellaris, because I liked the idea of this giant space creatures in those days. And as I was waiting for this: Today it's called "Heirs of the ether drakes" and it is a Cordyceptic Drones swarm with Here be Dragons origin and you all know why 😉

I want devs to add more asymetric gameplay. Like the new 3.9 plant origin with seeds spread by wildlife... Or empires that have different costs for buildings. Make civic and politics more impactfull, make the market not produce things ex nihilum. Ect ect.

Three weeks ago. When they didn't roll out the beta that removed blocking events from your starting colonies. Thank goodness for the change. Although it might remove flavour, it's better to have a good economic start for player and AI alike.

Ahhh dragons. One of my favorite empires to play in Stellaris is a militaristic, spiritualist, and authoritarian with the Here be Dragons origin. Bit of a role play as a mix of the Dragon Cult from DnD and the Covenant from Halo. We are blessed with the Holy Dragon. Our god is real. You will be blessed as well, one way or another. Goals are to get a spiritual federation going. Subjugate those that align with your ethics, purge those that don't. Defend against the crisis in the end.

it always makes me sad how ..tiny.. the galaxies needs to be for average comps not to laag or worse :/ love some of the curation/depth work the stellaris crew done ..buuut... just like i loath how some of the EARLY ACCESS FINISHED game stuff where cut out to be used as excuses for dlc later , i also see a bit red about how the stellaris crew i suppose is 'encouraged' to keep making more 'expansions' rather then try make the coding efficient enough to start allow average joes comps to run PROPER sized galaxies also ..YES ALPHA CNETAURY AWESOME! ..infact think i boot it up right now the turn the university of planet into either a democratic powerhouse of knowledge or a despotic hive that make even yang crap his brichers ^^

You do realize they have made significant steps to make it run better? Its just hard to get it to not lag with 10's of thousands of individual entities and fleets all moving at once. This game is incredibly CPU intensive. In order to make the game more efficient, the whole game would have to be scrapped for a different engine. You can very easily run 800 system galaxies where that used to be borderline agonizing if you weren't killing off most of the galaxy during the game.

@@goldenhate6649 of course , and i do salute that effort ,though it could been a far greater effort if the things that where cut out of the early access to make excuses for dlc , simply been added without putting resources into padding that out an make a 'whole dlc' about it. but that i chalk up more to 'overlords' then the people doing the work. after all , there is things to compare with that has just as many entities going around ..factorio for example

I think the intention is to do it through basic game mechanics as opposed to start a lot of red faces in the comments. Either he describes it correctly and people who think it means something different get upset, or he describes it incorrectly and everyone who knows what it is gets upset. And that is the best case scenario.

I heard a belief couple scentences of a joke about capitalism. Was just curious that we didn't get any framing for the conflict he was setting up in the storyline he described.
