Saw it happen once on nyalotha LFR, for the final Nzoth. Some 'dude-bros' on the raid kicked someone who was doing top dps, legit calmly explaining mechanics and even managing the raid teams because "lol try-hard gtfo"

I had that in a normal raid some days ago. a cocky ass 220 equipped prot paladin joined out of "boredom" just to link dps meter after every boss and saying "the feeling when you as a tank are amongst top 3 dps..." oh lord. He had a warm spot on my ignore list.

@@Agamemnon2 With the current state of the playerbase and generally the types of players drawn to LFR they are mostly unco-ordinated and don't bother to look up boss tactics and feel they can just Zerg the trash and Boss which in some cases you can but Nyalotha was brutal on N'Zoth fight I remember wiping like 40 times on the fight until the raid members finally got down the mechanics.

“Imagine how mythic characters feel” back in Nighthold, my hunter literally tanking Gul’dan LFR. We pulled with only one tank, and he got knocked off the platform early on. So since I was next on threat boss came to me, realized he literally didn’t hit hard enough to really do that much damage and healers were able to keep me up and we proceeded to kill him easily with me just handling al the Tank mechanics. LFR is hilarious some times.

I remember getting into a LFR that was half way through Uldum at Zul, and it took the group 1 hour to get Zul down. And even then it was one of those pulls where only 3 out of 20 was left standing and 2 of them were healers and 1 dps.

It's funny; when I hear your stories, I have a ton of memories that just come flowing back. From the frustrating (like the time I told a group I'd be afk for like 2 minutes in a dungeon and they pulled the final boss then had the nerve to blame me when they wiped in cata) to the joyous (like raiding normal SoO and having a friend turn on jurassic Park music for the fight versus Thok) to the infuriatingly hilarious (like the dozens of times we wiped in Gnomregon from people not dismissing their pets. I swear I never got mad at it because it was just all of the sudden 30 mobs swarming us and beating the shit out of the healer. Usually only happened once per run too since the person wouldn't be dumb enough to do it twice.) I might have long since quit wow, but the memories always get me.

Yeah huntsman is...... fun. Had a group that wiped several times cause they wouldn’t break the CC so it broke free at 99 stacks and then no one switched targets and we wiped. That group was followed by one were we had overactive druids and we had to reapply CC constantly. It’s weird how in this LFR the first LFR boss is often harder than the last.

I’ve really never had many problems with LFR, it is what it is. A bunch of non raiders in. But the mechanics wind down and it becomes quite easy. Your only issue is with tanks being severely ignorant of BASIC mechanics. I have tanked Denathrius on a 188? I think? Warrior. First time tanking it as I main a dps and healer. I had no problems. With just remembering some of movement from previous raids downed it in one time.

TD was the buggiest dungeon of BfA, lots of mobs randomly fell down to the lower floors and pulled stuff, the walls had some bug that caused AoE effects like twilight devastation to damage enemies through the walls, the last boss was designed/tuned in a way that he would one-shot players with his arrow ability when they had no defensives on very high keys...

I do love how people that run lfr all the time don't know any mechanic. i had someone on the Sire when it first came out on LFR telling the raid that you needed to drop all stacks by hitting the boss before you got pulled down for P2 or you would die. When i told him that wasn't correct he told me he had killed Sire in LFR 5 times already today. He stopped talking because as he linked the achieve for killing sire on any difficulty I linked Ahead of the curve. On the next pull he again started spamming the same incorrect info.

WoW 2 means WoW in a completely new engine. At this point the engine’s like 15 years old or something, which means there’s a lot they can’t do with it anymore. Some people want the same WoW just in a new engine, others want a quasi-restart to the game.

OF COURSE it had to be a hunter woman. all them WoW women in those stories make me ashamed to be one myself. back in the day when i raided, my guild would use discord and i would have that on ptt then my circle would use curse voice on ptm(mute) on the same hotkey. we didnt have any problems with coms and we were on top of our guild at the time.
