Just a little addition : the reason Dream's speedrun was rejected was not because of his luck in *one* run (which would have been ridiculous, since lucky runs are half of the best speedruns in the world), but his luck in *every single* run he has done over 3 months on stream that each time got luck way above the expected. It's like playing DnD, and having a lucky session. Yeah, that happens. But if all of your sessions are 'lucky sessions', you can't be mad at your DM for asking to look a bit closer at your dice.

I agree. In my opinion, Dream isn't used to hanging around or interacting with people of certain personality types because he's so awkward. So he hangs around like-minded folks and is in a bubble. This makes him very reactionary and quick to anger. Which, unfortunately, makes the people who hate him feel like their hatred is warranted. Dream reacts to criticism the same way Vivziepop does; keeps posting on social media when they shouldn't out of anger, lumps genuine critiques in with the detractors and never takes any criticism to heart.

The thing is, all these controversies people talking about were during covid (excluding quackity), and outside of the debunked accusations, he's been chilling. Now, i have something to say about Nicholas. He described that he was in a manic episode when this occured, mixing this with being drunk is absolutely not anything good. Despite this, he should absolutely be held accountable for his actions, but a manic episode is much more than just feeling euphoria and being happy. i myself suffer manic episodes, and while they usually aren't that bad, it can genuinely get dangerous. (TW: suicidal ideation) When me and my parents were at a hotel, a manic episode begun in the middle of the night. i genuinely thought it would be hilarious to sl!t my wrists and leave my parents to find my dead body in the morning. i thought it would have been FUNNY. Mania fucks with your head, but anything you do during these episodes are still your actions. i have done and said very fucked up things during my own manic episodes, and i still take accountability for it, because even if i can't entirely control it, those were still MY actions. This isn't to make it about me, but to give insight into how badly mania can fuck with your head. Now i don't agree with Nicholas' actions at all, he can't just slip past it because he was drunk and in a manic episode. He is to be held accountable, because in the end, it's not only disrespectful to Dream and an entire community, but what he did was also downright illegal. You never hit anyone unless in the case of self defense.

I know im late on this but you know we all failed as a society when a mother was too scared that the police wouldn't take a call seriously to help their adult child because of so many people sending in false reports to raid said adult child, so she had to do it herself even though it took longer for something that could have been really life threatening. Like for real the levels of hate Dream gets for just existing now is just so disgusting. My heart broke for him and his mother when he said she had no faith that the police would actually come if something were to actually happen because of people thinking its funny to get him raided so often. Which in itself was also something that can and has ended in someone innocent getting killed. I was LIVID on his behalf when it was stated that when people thought he didn't live with sapnap anymore that they sent a raid to HIS MOM'S AND SISTER'S HOUSE- which again, could have gotten them seriously hurt or worse. Like i do not care what they honestly thought Dream had done, NOTHING and i mean NOTHING gives anyone the right or make it ok to put his innocent family in danger like that.

Sure, the fandom, speed-running, democracy, and grooming dramas are all in the past, but the way he handle these situations didn’t help his case at all except for his response to the grooming allegations. Like fostering a bad fandom, lying to the speed-running community, etc. Hell, while he gave a convincing defense of his grooming allegations, before that his defense was a bunch of nonsensical tweets that if anything caused people to clown on him even more, justified or not. Whether he did something wrong here isn’t really the point, he just needs to stop and think about what to do for a second. Plus, bro it’s only been less than a month since this controversy happened. Realistically, if dream hadn't posted those tweets since nearly every other major youtuber was tweeting " vote for iceolliger" and a good chunk of the community were already voting for iceolliger since it would nor only fit the theme "caves and cliffs" better and it would be a new hostile mob. ​@ProxiProtogen 1. they NEVER stated it would give slowness it would just spawn ice clouds. You can easily kill it with a bow if you have good aim. 2. There is no way "no one goes to snowy peaks" is true. Since most youtuber have gone/showcased it. A lot of players (including myself)at launch went there. A lot of images on reddit, discord and Twitter back me up. The iceolliger would be a another reason to go to that biome. 3 Ultimately the iceolliger would be a better fit in an update named "caves and ducking CLIFFS" than the mooblom. Edit I didn't see you meant that stray give you slowness. I thought you meant the iceolliger.
