I started the keto diet/lifestyle the first week in August and in 6 weeks my belly fat was gone. I notice that when I was sitting that my rib cage was protruding and even more so when I was lying down. I lost 3 inches from my belly, 5 from my waist, and 2 from my neck. Nearly 4 months later I have maintained my weight loss as well as being off of my 4 high blood pressure meds.

@Violett Fem You are right. You can’t do it. As soon as you tell yourself that it’s impossible, you have given up before you have started. When you say that you would have to have some serious diagnosis to motivate you, you are really just taking the choice out of your own hands. I believe we really only change our behavior when it becomes to costly to keep doing what we are doing. As humans we tend to pick the easy path. Unfortunately, what is worth having is not easy to get. Until you realign your brain to choose your own fate and take the hard, rewarding path over the easy path, nothing will change. Excuses may make you feel less guilty about not getting off of the couch, but they never lead to success. I truly hope you find the motivation in yourself and achieve the health that you desire.

Sweden has a King and Queen, because it is in Europe. The USA has already president Kamala Harris, so there is no need for an extra complementary democratically chosen Head of State / Potus. But nothing would hold you to elect Dr. Ekberg and Mrs Ekberg as the new King and Queen of the USA.

Thank you Dr. Ekberg for this fantastic video. I'm hoping to get some friends and family on board. I lost 88lbs in 2020, I'm very greatful for you, Dr. Jason Fung, Thomas Delauer, and Steve from SeriousKeto. All of you are amazing at what you do and keep me motivated. I was 317lbs and it killed me that it was painful and uncomfortable to be on the family room floor playing with my 1 year old son. With plans for another, my daughter will be here in less than two months. it was all of you that gave me the information I needed to finally be successful at weight loss! Thanks again!

Dr. I give you 100% top rating for teaching. I wish you were teaching at my college when I attended.. Back in the 90's they taught against high fat diet. I changed everything, I got fat I was always skinny. I was under the belief that I wrecked my poor liver and I was doomed to this fat. I started the keto low carb and finally, finally_ slowly the weight is coming off. I am addicted to your teaching- I see the results. Thank you and thank you again.....

@Anngerie ~ Try by providing only foods that need preparation and cooking, very little ‘grab and goes’, meal prep~ include them in that: great family time. Have them budget for healthy food/ non processed, chemical-free Whole Foods, grassfed /grass finished meats, wild-caught, gardening (even indoors), all the positive loving results of healthy habits. No shame or blame, but no nonsense for behaviors that are harmful. Replace with good and something to look forward to that brings your family together. God bless you and yours.🕊✨

I did fairly clean keto for over a year and my belly fat went away along with 50 pounds! The most amazing thing however is that the fat, especially belly fat, never came back. This was truly a metabolic reset for me. I now eat lowish carbs, don’t count or weigh anything, never feel hungry or deprived and the weight is just stable. This was my normal as a kid and young adult and now my new normal at 62 years old. Many postmenopausal women accept a big belly. You don’t have to! Younger folks and males I think have an easier time with initial weight lose, but health and vibrancy is the human birth right. Didn’t happen overnight, but then I didn’t damage my health overnight. Best to you on your journey towards health.

So well explained, love your videos Dr. Ekberg! I had been overweight for many years and actually nearly got obese before the 1st lockdown. I first tried to lose weight by counting calories (I was trying to stick to 1300/1500 calories per day), I tried becoming vegan as well but nothing was working. I then started keto and intermittent fasting 7 months ago and have lost 12 kilos already! So happy I am back to a healthy BMI. Your videos really helped me understand what I was doing wrong and how I could make the right choices. I always say there are 3 types of people at work: people that are bad at their jobs and bad at explaining, people that are good but can't explain and a few gifted ones who are good at their jobs and can explain technical concepts. You are definitely a gifted person for this! Thanks for taking the time to share all your knowledge!
