Drew, thanks for the respect you show each of the fish you catch (i.e., not holding out of the water too long, barbless hooks). I can tell that you are fighting a much bigger fish when you get it on your reel. 😊 Thanks for taking us along to live vicariously through you on your fishing adventures.

Except for that net. Attaching the net with zip ties? No bueno!

Why do you believe they're bad for fish? They are fixed...the edges melted so no sharp points and pointed away from the net.

@ sorry Drew didn’t know they were melted and smooth. I just had visions of fish getting scratched. All good.👍

Those are some strong, healthy looking Trout. Four species in that stream? Stunning scenery. Had to be hard to keep and eye on your line. Love the night time North Star time lapse shots. Another spectacular video Drew. Thanks!

That's why I keep all my food in totes. Love those tight roads, it sucks funding a slide or tree and have to back up miles until you can turn around. Also, I carry a water bottle with a filter built in so I can dip and drink that cold cool water.

Love d the Bull Moose and star footage! What a trip! I'm sure you stay hydrated because 4 hours on a local stream without those hikes and climbs gives me cramps sometimes. 6x can cramp my fingers at times, anyway great trip and looking forward to the next one!

Here in New Zealand I go to a lake that have cutthroat trout and they can get up to 2 bounds there aren't many places here that have cutthroat trout they are my favourite trout. The rivers you have over there are fantastic the gold of the rivers and the greens are spectacular.

Beautiful, and I most appreciate that you can share your adventure and not mention the name. I recognize several of those locations, so it pleases me that you have the talent and desire to share, but not kiss and tell. Cuts, bows, bulls in near wilderness. It is as primitive as one can get in the lower 48. I cannot tell you how much in enjoy you not saying where. I wish more content told of the adventure, not the destination. A few will recognize, but all can appreciate. I hope you never tell them what water and where you were.

I'm considering some type of pop up but anything that rides over the cab would kill my mpgs and all my trips are long road trips and be tough on trails. After looking at the price of any pop up my colorado can carry I'm in the RTT budget lol!

After watching I’m curious if you ever saved a trout for a meal instead of eating the dehydrated food? Nothing like a catch n cook stream-side. And for those about to jump down my throat for asking, please know that I predominantly catch n release, but I will save a fish, like a legal halibut or White Sea Bass (ghost) when surf fishing here in my backyard to feed my family, or a trout or two if I’m out in the bush/backcountry hiking, backpacking and fishing when I need the protein and fat for energy. I also go all barbless and replace trebles with barbless single inline hooks on any trout lures when spinning.

Hey Drew, fantastic editing. Nothing like cold water and the smell of Pines Last time I caught a bully it was on the Jarbidge river in Northern Nevada. It's a lot of work to get to those fish. But anyway did you say you're using a 10-ft 4 wt. rod? Also are you guys wet wading? And do you use filtration bottles and drink the water right from the creek? Thanks for the great videos!
