easier way for removing the seeds you just need to cut it into 3 pieces and boil it . the seeds will fall to the bottom of the cooking utensil while boiling.

What kind of chillis work well for this? There is a huge selection but I don't see any that look like the one you used in this video
@indian20034 жыл бұрын
Trouble with getting dried chillies in Europe is that they are from Sri Lanka and extremely spicy. One bite killed me almost. Look for the Malaysian ones or the Kashmiri chillies that are milder. These are available from some Indian/Pakistani shops. I add garlic, onions and ginger/galangal in mine and a handful of dried baby prawns. That way I can fry noodle or rice or even mee rebus.

Thank you for your reply. Can I use multi purpose grinder for coffee and spices as well such as this as below. www.briscoes.co.nz/kitchen/appliances/breville-bcg200-coffee-and-spice-grinder-1054659?AdWords&Instore&gclid=CKqxxez3vcgCFYgsvQodZ64CoQ
@nyonyacooking9 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't use that as that grinder is meant for dry ingredients. I'm currently using a food processor from Kenwood, similar to this but I do not have the mixer and the hand blender. www.briscoes.co.nz/kitchen/appliances/kenwood-hb655-multi-function-hand-blender-1034262
@aaronhan11079 жыл бұрын
Kenwood food processor would be ideal. I will hunt it down during end of the year sales. Thank you so much for your input. Have a beautiful day.

Hi I live in San Francisco Bay Area. Where can i purchase Malaysian ingredients?? I found a can Belacan on Irving Street. What kind of dried and fresh chili do I buy??? Only dried chilies I see are mexican chili, they have so many different kinds. I understand long and straight. Is there a particular chili??? thx
@nyonyacooking7 жыл бұрын
Yes, long and straight. I normally use Byadagi or Guntur from Indian shops. The dried chillies are usually not that spicy when compared to bird eye chillies. Perhaps you can ask the Mexican grocers to recommend a similar chilli? Show them a photo, that would help! All the best!
@cravingroom61297 жыл бұрын
Go to mexican store they have wide selection of dried cili
@brandon38725 жыл бұрын
Also look in a Chinese shop if you haven't already, they should have a good selection of dried chilis. Good luck!
