Absolutely love this movie, I wish todays films had an ounce of the fun the 80's action flicks had. The guy who plays the chief baddies main henchman here, the one Dalton rips the throat out of, is in real life Marshall Teague who, among other things, played a sword wielding Narn in the tv show Babylon 5 and the pilot of one of the shuttles in Armageddon with Bruce Willis. I got to meet him twice as security at sci-fi cons and I got to say, for a guy who played this character so evil he is one of the nicest guys alive. Ex-Navy SEAL, ex-sheriff and a guy who knows a dozen ways to kill you with his pinkie finger and yet remembers your name after meeting you once a year ago :)

Soundtrack of the movie is also absolute banger. From the chill tunes of Swayze doing his river front tai chi to the Jeff Healey bands When the night comes falling.

I'm a sucker for these "badass drifter from out of town" movies. Between Road House and almost every single Clint Eastwood movie, it's always a good time. EDIT: the exception are Steven Seagal movies made after 1992. Honorable mention: dying in Executive Decision (a highly under rated film).

@@botep5529 I’m current watching that show with my parents and we love it
@nathanddrews2 жыл бұрын
@@botep5529 I did watch season 1 of the Reacher TV series. I've never read the books and all I knew about it going in was that people were mad about Tom Cruise being too short for the movies. That said, I enjoyed most of it, but I thought it had two main flaws: 1. Reacher himself was far too good at everything, I felt like he needed a flaw or weakness to overcome and grow. 2. The tone of the show kinda bounced back and forth between hyper-violent murder mystery and goofy buddy-cop. I'm exaggerating, but it was just a bit jarring to go from brutal crucifixion murder scene to wise-cracking support characters in the next scene. I'm excited to watch Chris Pratt's new show The Terminal List, just based on interviews with Jack Carr. (And Pratt is good at most content he's in)

Awesome, Drinker. Has one of my favorite movie exchanges when Sam Elliott's legendary cooler Wade Garrett first appears. Carrie: "Who's that?" Cody (Jeff Healy), the blind singer: "Ladies and gentlemen ... Wade Garrett." Hank: "Holy sh!t!" Wade: "Exactly right."
@mattp78282 жыл бұрын
I love this film! I was a little too into this as a teenager and started trying to look like Swayze in this movie. However I'm nowhere near as cool as Dalton and never will be. You should also check out Jeff Healey who provides much of the music in the film, and plays the lead singer in the bars band. All in all this film is so much fun, I'm going to watch it again now!
@backrowbrighton2 жыл бұрын
This film is just great. Classic western in 80's garb. The main thing is that it is just so much fun. One critic at the time described it as 'Mindless entertainment of the highest order' and meant it as a compliment. Wonderful stuff.
@curtiskrammer81562 жыл бұрын
Plus Jeff Healey, Canada’s finest guitarist ever and his Band are the House Band. That’s really all you need to know about the music in the movie. You need to watch this movie for that one reason alone.

Roadhouse has to be the most guilty pleasure movie of all time and how could you not love it. Everyone in the cast played their role so well especially the bad bouncers. You have to give credit where credit is due. If they tried to remake this today it would be full of so much woke BS that it would never have the charm and fun of the original. We miss you Patrick Swayze.
