Thank you so much Dr.Pal and Dr.Sandy Jacob. I started my workout in the year 2022 December . Now I am 57 young. Amazing results with strength training. I have a trainer though. Now I strength train 4 to 5 days a week, yoga 2 days and cardio of treks and forest walks. Am diabetic. Was on insulin from 2006 to 2022. Am out of insulin now and am on tablets. I lost about 20kgs weight through diet.I love all your shows. Lots of love and respects to you from Bengaluru.

I started wt trg at 68 after cycling n running n swimming for 6-7 yrs I consistently did wt trg without missing except Sunday being closed in open gym. Got lot of injuries but got these cured. Yr back I got back inj which lead to distortion in gait n numbness in r leg. I took breake for some time n was able to lift again. But 3 months back dead lift led to inj n I started feeing fatigue for the first time after exercise. X ray shows that in some portion of the spine has lost it s curve. Could I get back my original gait n stop numbness n regain the curve of the spine. I’m on protien diet since last more than one yr. take 6 hrs sleep also.

I'm really grateful for Dr Pal to have started this channel. Giving an insight and understanding into the human functioning of muscle, fat, nutrition to a layman like me . Where the doctors on appointment in their limited time and a layman's limited understanding are not able to deliver a wholistic understanding to a person, you have made it extremely easy to understand. Only recently did I discover your channel and am already in awe of it. Thanks whole heartedly

Dr. Pai has done a very good job of asking appropriate questions. I live in USA, I am 68 yrs old, I have exercised since a young age. I exercise six days a week 90% of time. I found your lecture very useful. I am sure you are a very busy person Sir. It will highly beneficial to millions of propel if you could develop a series of such tutorials with examples of exercises. You can immensely benefit lot of poor people who may not have access to fancy gyms and physiotherapists. Hats off to you Sir for such a wonderful presentation. Raj Kumar ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

This was an amazing interview. Dr. Santosh nailed every point, emphasizing that exercise is the best medicine that we all have to improve longevity and the quality of life. It is rightly said that we want to make sure that we prevent exercise injuries. The key concept that I always want to focus on is "Don't compare yourself with anybody." Start slowly and progress with aerobic training, strength training, balance, and flexibility. They all play a role in helping improve one's health, especially for the elderly. I recommend focusing on exercises that you do on a daily basis. Think about deadlifts. Think about squats. These are all movements that we do every day, and it's important to strengthen these movements rather than just focusing on machine-based exercises alone. Starting with machines is always good, but our goal should always be to transition to more functional movements that we do every day. I love the last point when Dr. Santosh mentioned choosing injuries versus the problems that come with a sedentary lifestyle. Obviously, injury prevention is more important. But slight aches and pains are common. The key is to modify activities during these times, and slowly our bodies adapt and we can continue to progress. Thank you once again to Dr. Santosh and Dr. Pal for this amazing interview.

Absolutely loved the interview. So many theories behind why one should focus more on health and workouts explained. I learnt the hard way and been working out from 2.5 years. I am 40 and ran a few 10KM runs and 2 half marathons already. I see so much difference in the way I move on the day I eat a lot when compared to the day I follow the diet and be mindful. On the other hand, I see so many people doing ego lifts without any plan or guidance, sometimes even competing with the person next to them. This is so wrong.

I totally agree with Dr Santhosh. In 2021, I started doing strength training at home as gyms were closed due to Covid. I used resistance bands to work out and one day due to improper posture, I injured my neck and it caused stiffness. Ever since that day, the neck problem is coming and going if I am not careful. I feel I have permanently injured my neck. It has not been the same. Always exercise with proper supervision from trainers.

I humbly suggest that one of the primary reasons I started following your videos, Dr. Pal, was your professional background. Hearing lifestyle advice from a doctor brings a certain level of confidence and reassurance that I don’t quite get from other content creators. Recently, I've noticed a shift in your content with more guest appearances. While I understand the value they bring, I can't help feeling that the essence of what made me a fan - your unique insights and guidance - is somewhat diluted. Your perspective as a doctor is what I, and likely many others, find most compelling. With all due respect, it seems like you might be inadvertently taking a step back in your own show, allowing your guests to take the limelight. I believe it’s essential to remember your influence and the impact of your voice on your audience. It's somewhat reminiscent of how Andrew Huberman runs his podcast; his presence and expertise are the constants that anchor every episode. Your show has the potential to offer the same with your guidance and insight leading the way. Your contributions offer clarity and a degree of insight that's genuinely invaluable, and I hope to see more of it. While featuring guests can enrich the content, I believe the core of the show should always celebrate and foreground your expertise. It's understandable, especially given our cultural tendencies to uplift our guests, but as the driving force behind the show, your presence and insights shouldn't be overshadowed. In essence, Dr. Pal, you are the brand and the beacon of knowledge that many of us turn to. Your show, your rules. Remember, it's not just about being an interviewer or facilitator; it's about being that leading voice in health and wellness that many of us rely on. Keep shining, Dr. Pal.

Fantastic conversation. So many valuable inputs. Also must say, the ability of Dr. Pal to extract the right information from the other person by allowing him to speak out by patiently listening and also by asking the correct queries. I watched the entire video at a stretch. Thank you so much to both the docs.

When I was 60, I developed osteoarthritis of my knees. My orthopaedic doctor told me to do leg muscle strengthening exercises to support my knees for the rest of my life. I dread pain, so I joined a gym; did the exercises daily and also engaged a physiotherapist trainer. I took an academic interest to keep me motivated. I lost 10 kg in weight by going on a very low carbohydrate diet, vegetarians and stick to whole foods. At 70 I began trekking, and continued till a year ago. I am 78 now, continue exercising, stay with my diet and I have been hypothyroid since I was 48. I refuse to grow old and stay very active and socially connected. I have been health monitored since I was 48 for osteoporosis as we have that in the family. I see people all around me becoming frail. I had a total hysterectomy at 48 and a C6 replacement at 70.

thanks for all the advice of reducing of eating and drinking and sports activities, but the key point to take for me is to not to sleep late ... |and i did all the above and seriously took to sleep early by 10pm, and after 3-4months ..soon started to loosing weight ... and add-in some fasting at least one-two days in a week... on exercising there will be injuries if one doesn't do it right... keep it going both of you Drs for creating such Podcast...God Bless

We wish many doctors are like you who think on holistic treatment and advise on triggers that caused the issue in first place rather than surgery or unwanted medications based on the patients condition.
