Another €1700!! Tempted to get a lawyer. There hasto be some kind of warranty. As you press the gas it goes away immediately and comes back as you release it. The car stays in that state of malfunctioning until you Performing the dsg reset procedure (even without vcds, by pressing the gas). After that, AND ONLY AFTER THAT, the car goes back to normal. Hi Gary. Thanks for a great video. I'm about to do this job myself, and was curious about the oil draining/filling. I'm assuming you drained the transmission prior to removing the clutch? From what I read in the service manual, the box has a total capacity of 7.2 litres. A typical oil change needs around 4.5-5.0 litres, implying that there is still a significant quantity of fluid left in the box. When you popped open the clutch cover, there didn't seem to be much fluid leakage, which is not what I would have expected if there is still a couple of litres in there somewhere. Did you do something else to further drain the box? When it came to refilling, did you fill with approx. 5 litres or did it require the full 7? Any tips on this would be much appreciated.
@GaryFerraro6 жыл бұрын
Pretty straight forward, did you get the part from a dealer? cover is a little tricky to put on, you need really slippery stuff, i used STP oil treatment. I would also change the eternal filter that is very hard to do while in the car. The installer drained the unit before he pulled it, when back in, we filled it til it ran out then started the engine and filled it again til it ran out, i honestly don'e remember how much it took.
