I too made a comment/question about bringing your trash truck home and washing it in your driveway. I work for myself doing heating and air and do not live in an hoa neighborhood and even though I offer free service to my neighbors they often complain about my 2 vehicles 1 van that is lettered up and 1 service truck not lettered up sitting in my driveway I couldn't imagine showing up with a garbage truck and then washing all the garbage juice from it onto the ground in front of my neighbors. I'd have to move if I started a garbage business

It has nothing to do with HOA’s it has to do with Zoning. You can’t just operate any business from your home, especially if your business is within a city limit or in this case, dealing with waste. There are licenses required in most states at every level. City, county and state. If operating this business under the radar then I would think days are numbered running from a private residence. In most every city in this country it’s illegal for any business to have any type of runoff into a storm drain. That means washing your truck and having the runoff go into a storm sewer. Dealing with any state epa is not fun and can be extremely costly.
@CopperCreekCuts2 күн бұрын
The business isn't operated from my home. That would be if I had a restaurant in my kitchen, or a tax preparation office in my bedroom, or shelves of stuff you could buy in my living room. If the actual service occurs at other peoples homes, then it isn't based at my home (just like my lawn care business isn't based at my house, despite the fact that I clean my lawn care equipment at home). No state license required for sanitation in Florida nor in my county/city, but feel free to double check! State EPA is always a possibility but hopefully we can add a portable water reclamation unit to the process soon and fix that last issue!
@scott-og6iu2 күн бұрын
It’s surprising to me that you’re able to run this type of business from your home since it sounds like you said you live in the city limits. Most of the time that requires additional licensing and reviews from a Building and Zoning department. How many licenses are you required to have? City, county, and state?
@CopperCreekCuts2 күн бұрын
Zilch. One of the benefits to the state and area of the state I live in. Running the same business a county or two over would have worlds more red tape and fees.

Wrapping up the lawn care season this past week I've found myself many a times covered in mulched leaves sitting upon my zero turn. I shake them off, kick them forward off the foot plate, and use a grabber to get the big clumps off the top of the deck. But one time this week while the temperatures have dropped I found myself wearing winter work gloves and reaching down to my right to remove a clump of those leaves off the discharge side of the deck. Sitting back up I thought, that was dumb. I could have gotten that glove and my hand caught up in a deck belt. I was reminded of this moment at the 17:28 point in this video. I wish you prosperity and certainly no ill will. But please for your own safety keep your hands away from 'Lil Ms Pac-Tuah's rear end.

All “commercial vehicles,” including self-propelled vehicles with or without trailers, having a weight class of one (1) ton or more individually, or combined, and all commercial trailers, are prohibited from parking in any residential zoning district (street or lot) except while standing on a temporary basis for the purpose of loading or unloading, or providing other services, common to residential areas, or as may be permitted for non-residential uses under Section 25.760 of this Chapter."""

Brad unless your town or county or state have laws against you parking a commerical truck on your property then it seems legal . if you start getting visits from your town or county inspectors or someone complains 500 times a week and the town or county then have to come out look and see if said complaint is valid or not . if the truck stank then maybe it could be considered a health violation but has clean has you keep it i doubt thats the issue maybe somebody just has a bone to pick with you who knows . brad if you parked 40 yard roll off dumpsters in your yard thats different but a small trash truck it isnt an eye sore . brad on trucks they go by hours of use to determine the changes . brad truck oil changes filter changes i would recommend going to a shop the reason is because they have the pits the tools and they can dispose of the used fluids . the amount of oil in the motor alone to drain it will require very large deep pans then the hard part is disposing of the used oil . brad if you do the oil changes yourself id look in the phonebook and see if you can find a company who will come either pickup or if you store your used oil theyll come pump it for free companys like safetykleen might do it . brad unless you want to invest alot of money in tools id let a truck mechanic place do the tires because they have the sockets the large impact guns and large jacks and special machines to balance truck tires . the machines alone are at least a few grand and it takes some knowledge when balancing tires plus the lead weights used arent cheap or easy to come by . certain tasks you can handle but other tasks you really need a fully equiped garage not a home driveway or home car garage .

You seem like an honest person and i hope you can take this as constructive and not hateful. But you sort of addressed it but i feel came to the wrong conclusion. You are in fact operating a trash business out of your house. your business mail im sure goes to your house, you store your equipment there, you clean your equipment there. You are operating out of your house. I bet it will even appear on google maps as a trash business eventually. Point im making is people dont want to live next to a trash operation. for obvious reasons.

The business address is our residence for sure, but it isn't operated at my home. That would be if I had a restaurant in my kitchen, or a tax preparation office in my bedroom, or shelves of stuff you could buy in my living room. @microlocityКүн бұрын
@@CopperCreekCutsBut it is based at your home. How do you explain the 100 plus trash cans in your backyard that you offer to your customers for monetary payment? By using your own analogy, maybe if you put them on a shelf for sale, you might understand . Even cleaning the inside of the trash holding area of the truck is part of running the business out of your home. You might not be breaking any laws, but that doesn't make it right or a respectful neighbor. I own a remodeling business. I have trucks and equipment. I purposely bought a home that was not in a residential allotment so I had room to "hide" my business items from the eyes of my residential neighbors. When you look out your front window, you probably don't see your glowing orange truck, but I would guess at least 5 of your neighbors homes have a great view of it. It's not only the sight of the business items that could be a nuisance, the added noise could be another reason. There is noise at your house because of your business. It looks like your neighbors are pretty close. I'm sure they can hear the pressure washer running every week, as well as your truck beeping while backing up and raising the rear to clean. That's not to mention your business lawn equipment. The stink in that truck will only get worse with time. Even if you wash it every week. Just trying to help with some specifics. Keep up the videos.
