Nice that Jason got you parts even though the wheel was from Clark Pads 🙂 Will be interesting to see how that TNT tire is on the Master and if the tubeless option works. Kind of surprised that you did that mod because if it fails you could have another blowout 🙂
@DufАй бұрын
Hopefully ti works, mounted easy with no sealant. Odds of that type of blowout on smooth road is not likely at all.

I'm glad that you're ok. The main reason why I sold my Patton was due to the fear of having a failure issue while riding at a high speed. My EUC experience has been great the past 5 yrs but the risk of serious injury is very real. My worst fear was not crashing, but where I would land or hit after falling off the EUC. Be safe out there guys!

It seems like this tube valve failure has happened to others as well. In the comments, @archiejacobs6741 has stated the same thing happened as well. Maybe Jason eWheels needs to be alerted, and the issue taken up with Begode as well. There might be other instances as well. A recall might be needed. Thanks for the update.

Yo Duf! Another entertaining and useful video. #crash indeed. I have ordered myself a Begode Blitz, and based on my own experiences as well as your recent tube fiasco, Ive decided to go with the tubeless option. Seems like it just makes sense given motorcycle and car tires generally dont have tubes. Did you throw any sealant in the tube?
@DufАй бұрын
Thx for watching till the end! With the speeds that wheels travel today tubeless makes more sense. I have some Armodilloz I will likely add but the TNT tire sealed up great without anything.
@Kay0BotАй бұрын
In the mountain biking community, before switch to presta valves (which are annoying), the schrader valves would somtimes ripp out like what happen to you.
@DufАй бұрын
I imagine in MTB there is a ton of stress on the tire/tube. I wasn't doing anything stressful
@0xsergyАй бұрын
i've ran super low pressures on my mtb for months after a broken wrist with no issues. mtb wheels are a lot bigger, lots more rim to provide friction against the tire compared to small euc wheels.
@Kay0BotАй бұрын

You definitely need better valve, maybe motorcycle will fit. Also I have a question: master’s rim can fit moto tyre, however it does not have additional groove inside to lock the tyre in place (like the s22pro or any motorcycle has for example), so the question is: don’t you need some kind of glue to glue a tyre, so it doesn’t roll relative to the rim (the rim is stationary, but the tyre moves around it)
@0xsergyАй бұрын
there is bead sealer which would lock the tire in place better, would make tire changes suck a lot more but it might prevent it from spinning as badly

@twentyninehairsАй бұрын
Maybe I missed it, but just to be clear, I think the valve likely ripped off the tube after the vast majority of the air was already gone. That appears to have been caused by the rim spinning much faster than the tire. Maybe it could have been the final factor that caused complete failure, but I think it was unlikely to be an original root cause issue. Maybe it could have been the final structural failure that caused a sudden loss of control though... maybe. #crash
@wspepsilonАй бұрын
Yeah, was likely far below safe riding levels, which allowed the tube to slip, resulting in the torn valve. The question is, when did he start to lose air, and how fast? Was this something that could have been caught at the beginning of the ride by checking the psi pre ride, or did something halogen mid ride?
@wspepsilonАй бұрын
Honestly, tubeless systems should be incorporating a TPMS system natively.
@DufАй бұрын
Yes I agree the valve did not rip clear off initially but the tear was definitely there, the rest of the tube appears fine. Thx for watching till the end!
@DufАй бұрын
Sure cant hurt
@twentyninehairsАй бұрын
@@DufHow would you know that there isn't a smaller hole somewhere else in the tube?
@nicholasbrus8628Ай бұрын
This looks like a case of too low tyre pressure allowing the tyre to rotate on the rim and taking the tube with it resulting in the valve stem being ripped off. I had this happen once on my bicycle tyre when the pressure was too low. I now ensure I am always using higher pressures and periodically check to make sure there has been no rotation (not possible with brass valve stems). Tubeless will solve this, but still best to not have your tyre rotate, so put some more air in your tyre.
@DufАй бұрын
Hard to say, Begode had a run of tube failures
@nicholasbrus8628Ай бұрын
@@Duf There's an easy way to find out ... just mark the rim and tyre and then see if the marks move apart over time. You can do this even with tubeless tyres and not have to worry about a tube failure, and you will have your answer.
@archiejacobs6741Ай бұрын
Was that the stock inner tube that came with your Master? My stock inner tube valve stem on my Master V4 ripped out just like that as I was casually riding down a football field. I was blaming it on too low air pressure, but now that I see it happened to you, I'm questioning if it just wasn't a faulty inner tube.
@DufАй бұрын
It was the stock inner tube. Months back I heard a ton of people reporting apparent bad tubes in their Begode wheels. Mine had less than 100 miles on it
@archiejacobs6741Ай бұрын
@@Duf Mine occurred within 1 week of taking the wheel out of the box, so less than 25 miles on mine when it happened. You nearly died, yet you are experimenting with tubeless on a rim that isn't made for tubeless, ride carefully. Installing the motor bolts with an impact wrench is not recommended, get yourself a torque wrench and torque them to spec by hand, hopefully you put loctite on them.
@DufАй бұрын
This tire has been installed successfully on other Masters and has been working fine. However I will be checking PSI on my wheels before every ride. I snugged the motor bolts with the gun and then used my normal allen wrench. I have an automotive torque wrench but nothing that would work with an allen configuration.
