Yes. Mass Effect Andromeda takes place in a different galaxy (duh, Andromeda) in some time after the original trilogy (will not feature shepard or characters shepard has known). Release set for early 2017.

Captain Treehugger I wasn't really thinking about any specific thing. But yeah, a franchise that's more than twenty years old, that had a horrible sequel (but some decent cartoons) and that now comes back as a remake hanging on a gimmick, that's a good example. Just look at how grossly they misunderstood the librarian scene, and the cringe worthy comedy. The only reason we are talking about it is because they named it "Ghostbusters". Hey, maybe they saved the best jokes for the movie, and that's why the trailer was so bad.

Malcom Chase This means absolutely nothing. The Phantom Menace hit the theathres with great honors and praise from some of the most respected film critics. People went and saw it, claimed it was the single best SW film to date, some time later popular opinion said otherwise. Bladerunner hit the silver screen and immidialty, every pleb and critic lauded it as the single worst film of the year. Now everyone seems to claim otherwise. They say the recut version changed their mind, but in actuality most of them never saw the film until much later. Only an idiot simply parrots someone else his opinions. Watch the film without being spoon fed that it's inferior, that it's a downright flop. Then form your own opinion. Few people actually can though. Your final point is true, very few comedy film can succeed as a sequel. One of the few in recent memories was 22nd jump street, mainly because the entire film was meta commentary on comedy film sequels and spin offs. This alone made it an excellent film. GB2 had no such thing going for itself, yet maintained its excellent characterization of the 4 man team and their associates. That's what the film set out to do, and that's what the film succeeded in.

Watchdogs 1 had two fatal flaws: it had way too many guns and "kill them all" missions, making it from a sort of puzzle-stealth game into a generic third-person shooter, and it didn't abuse the fuck out of Chicago's noir setting. Should've made Aiden a detective that knew way too much or something.

***** Let me explain. Microsoft is both PC and xbox one. Sony is ps4, movies, tablets, tv monitors, music headphones, etc. Microsoft's net worth is far higher than Sony's. Sony as far as the gaming community is concerned, has only the Ps4 to earn money. Microsoft is about to have 4 different platforms in which they can make money from with the most important one being PC. Microsoft genuinely doesn't care if their xbox doesn't sell as good, unlike Sony, they don't need to rely on it selling good; however, the simple fact that they continue to improve it for their fans is extremely admriable... what has Sony done for it's fans except make the game developers do all the work for them while they make films like Pixels instead?

Coletrain Hetrick But unless it's on console people go to other store fronts to buy the games. Microsoft is also distancing itself from consoles as a gaming platform. Most of microsofts profits aren't coming from games which is why they don't need to worry about it but that doesn't make it a good or bad platform. Sony is doing well focusing on games and even if it makes less it's still not having any trouble staying afloat.

***** I'm not sure if I told you this already or not so I'll just say it again. Sony is not indie friendly at all. All of the games you mentioned that Sony has come from their major studios. Microsoft is willing to help indie people get their pc games onto consoles while Sony doesn't. Did you overlook Inside? That is easily a big league competitor for game of the year now. I agree with you, Sony has great games, I am still playing The Last of Us, but Microsoft has great games too despite not having major studios like Naughty Dog

No mention of Horizon: Zero Dawn or David Cage's new game. Also, while I know Yatzhee can exagerate his brutal honesty, I think he was kind of off about God of War. While it may not have shown much of how the game as a whole will play, it did show a bit how combat will play out, and how it differs from the traditional GOW gameplay. Also, there were many moments that showed, and interviews with devs have said as well, they are aware of how two dimensional Kratos was and how they are trying to make him into more of an actual character with depth. Also, he completely glossed over the change in setting, how this is no longer Greek mythology and is now Norse.

Alright I think it's official that yatzhee has a huge bias against nintendo. Judging from the video, he didn't even watch the presentation and probably just did 1 google search to figure out what happened. He even didn't understand that nintendo was physically present at E3, and that they had a zelda booth with special statues and sound effects. Ok, I can live with that. What I can't live with is how he blatantly didn't say a word about the gameplay or the goal or this game. He literately described it as "the new zelda" . Seriously, how hard could it have been to mention the fact it is going to have a huge, non-linear open world? This point was the main focus of the whole livestream! He could have watched 20 minutes of it and been more informed! I mean cmon, it's 9x bigger than skyrim, isn't that something at least worth mentioning??? The only other option is that he chose not to talk about the game, either because he wanted to make nintendo look bad or he didn't care enough to talk about it. Either way I can't believe you didn't, at the very least, give nintendo a chance. Honestly I'll probably still watch your videos from time to time, but you just lost a sub.

The only game I'm the slightest bit hyped for is Persona 5. I don't get excited for games. I play them. If they're good I'm happy. If they're not then at least I didn't set myself up for disappointment. I didn't even care when Silent Hills crashed and burned, and the first two Silent Hill are two of my top three favorite games.

Dishonoured 2 actually looks promising. Because the video game market isn't about video games, it's about the money. No one ever makes good games anymore, save for the few indie studios that actually do care about their work instead of trying to make a buck off of you. $10 gets you Undertale, while $60 gets you shit. E3 doesn't give a shit about the gamers, they want your money, and they'll do all sorts of gimmicks for it. They're certainly using intrinsic obsolescence to make your brand new PS4 obsolete before you had a chance to open the box, (no audio CD support on a console that uses discs the same size and shape as CDs, by a developer that pioneered CD media in the first place?? o.O) and Microdick loves being the one to remove backwards compatibility, basically ensuring you're gonna keep breaking out your original Xbox just to play Silent Hill 2.
