I made this cake last night with fruit I've been soaking in brandy for 18 months. It was fantastic! I forgot to buy nutmeg (didn't realize this until I went to reach for it) so I substituted molasses, and I used the fruit-infused brandy instead of apple juice. I have made fruitcakes from a couple of different recipes and this one is the best yet. I will definitely be making it next year!

I am using crazins, orange peel, and dried pineapple because I am not a fan of candied fruit either. I think as long as it's dried it will be fine.

Yes. The main ingredient is originally rum. But she used apple juice as an alternative. If you don't have apple juice, you can use grape juice or orange juice
