Wow easier than i thought. Im guessing on this particular mount you do not not have to support engine with upward pressure. Thanks for tuturial.

you should just to hold in place and it does not drop any and make it hard to align bolts but its super easy, glad it helped you.

@JackofAllCarbinc2 ай бұрын
Sorry dont remember the exact number but you can go to honda parts .com and they have a breakdown of parts you need just make sure your putting correct info ...i.e. year a/t model since there might be a diference between models.

Looks a lot easier than I initially thought. So jacking the engine is not necessary then?
@JackofAllCarbinc Жыл бұрын
no there is no need to jack up the motor. there is also an upper engine mount, if you were to change that one then you would but not when you change the lower mount. Yes it is super easy and will save you alot of money doing it yourself.

I feel like this is the easiest engine mount to replace 😭 I gotta replace mine. Wish me luck y’all. This clunking and vibration been getting on my last nerve. 💁🏽♀️
@JackofAllCarbinc Жыл бұрын
FYI.... If you have a metalic clunking sound that seems to come from front righgt or left everytime your going over bumps or ruff road I would suggest also checking your front struts/shocks. My honda sounded as if it was going to fall apart when i drove in rough roads and i ended up changing front struts/shocks, I was sooooo surprised the difference that made, car sounded like new once i made that repair, its also a pretty easy cheap repair.
@divinemessenger20306 ай бұрын
@@JackofAllCarbincOh yeah, you’re right. My shocks and struts are bad so I gotta fix those too. The car is so rough, and driving on bad NY roads doesn’t help with the riding experience.

I would actually not recommend after market engine mounts. I relaced the passenger side mount with after market and the vibration through the steering well was so obnoxious i ended up installing an OEM mount.
@JackofAllCarbinc11 ай бұрын
like everything you gt what you pay for. Not saying there are no good aftermarket ones but sometimes going the cheapest route cost more, Just research the product and see others review, i have replaced some parts in car with aftermarket without any issues but i do my research first on the item.

The passenger mount is hydraulic. You're comparing apples to hand grenades.

hi, It would all depend on your model and year a quick look up tool in any honda website can give you exact number. Honda parts is a good place to check

Do you have to support the engine at all? I guess not
@iprophecy67687 ай бұрын
No not for this one. This one is the one thats at the very bottom. And theres 3 other up top connected to transmission, and a huge dog bone on left hand side. And underneath that dog bone is another very big one. So its supported on all for corners up top already. Now if you have the up top ones that have failed also, then yea you might wanna but a jack with a piece of wood just in case. But if they are good then no support is necessary

is it seized? or is it not sliding out? It took some tetris moves to get the thing out, had to twist it a certain angle and then it slipped out very easily.

does it sound like the whole car is going to fall apart? kind of a metal on metal sound when going over bumps? If so it could be a bad shocks/struts, My honda had a terrible clanking sound coming from passenger side, It sounded like car was going to fall apart. I changed the struts/shocks and made a huge diference. Almost sounded like a new car.....I said ALMOST!!!LOL
@thomasbradley541911 ай бұрын
@@JackofAllCarbinc no it couldn't be that. I rebuilt the entire front end. It vibrates like hell when in idle or sitting at a stop sign. I changed my lower torque strut I think upper one is bad too I've already changed the engine side mount and the transmission mount as well
