It's actually kind of a myth that fast food is cheaper than healthy food, even in the U.S. Something as simple as chicken, broccoli and salsa is cheaper than a McDonald's meal. Yes, a Big Mac menu is pretty cheap for the amount of calories you get, but it does not fill you up and the volume is pretty low, I much prefer volume over calories. Instead of having a fairly small McDonald's meal I can eat 2 chicken breasts with a kilo (2 lbs) of frozen vegetables and still have eaten less calories than I would have if I had eaten a Big Mac menu. For some perspective, one Big Mac meal can be about 1000 calories depending on the size of the fries and what drink you have, if I were to eat that same amount of calories in broccoli I'd have to eat about 3 kilos (6-7 lbs) of broccoli, that's like 2-3 days worth of broccoli for me in one meal. Or I could eat 2 lbs of cooked chicken which would also be very difficult to pull off. Seriously, how much does a Big Mac meal fill you up? I'm personally hungry again after a few hours, it's just not cheap at all when you think about nutrition and volume.

In short. Eating out is never cheaper than cooking at home. Even a 1 dollar burger is more expensive than ur home cooked burger. It is just the effort that people dont want to put in cooking. All excuses and a bunch of lazy ass people spreading this shit assumption around the world.

+superchief86 biggest advice I can give you is to try and eat healthy all week and then give yourself 3 cheat meals from friday thru sunday. This allows you to eat out a couple times on the weekend or order that pizza. That being said, dont overindulge and eat 4 slices. Everything in moderation. But you need to plan. If you know you have dinner plans saturday night just make sure you eat a good healthy breakfast and have a salad for lunch. This style of eating keeps me from going crazy.

Depends on where you live too. Unless you have a large Hispanic/Latino population dried beans sit on the shelves forever and are a waste to buy. I used to buy them in the bag dried too but where I live now has zero Latino/Hispanic people it's all whites so a bag of Goya Black Beans will be a good 3 years old and too hard to cook when you buy them. The cans on the other hand don't have that issue.

You guys changed my life. I discovered your channel on just the right time. I didn't know how to eat healthy. I am now following your diet and eating what you eat, working out with dumbbells at home. I even started cooking for the first time in my life, made my own telapia, tuna patties and chicken following your recipes. I couldn't believe how great an easy it all is. Thank you for this great work, you lay it all down for us. You are truly an inspiration. Greetings from Bulgaria.

Straight and point-on information. At over-50 years I am not a buff dude but I have maintained fitness, tone and good health for decades. I can attest to validity of everything he suggests. If you have an Aldi's supermarket in your area you can really re-define what it means to do this on a budget. Cut you grocery bill in half. Its not inferior food. Trader Joe's was built on the same model as Aldi's.

I'd add bananas to this. They're typically about 60 cents a pound and are an excellent source of natural sugars and lots of nutrients. Much cheaper than berries. Nuts are also an excellent cheap health food. Very nutrient dense, yet very cheap. Lentils are ridiculously cheap, and a protein rich way to expand many dishes.... Fact is, "health foods" may be expensive, but healthy foods are not.

Crow Mantis K Thank you! Seriously vegans are really the only group of people I see going around trolling random KZbin videos imposing their "diet" on others. How do you get those natural B vitamins (especially B12) vegan?

Magnus Leitet While the attack on your "sexuality" was inappropriate, I think he was just frustrated, like many others, at vegans who have nothing better to do than go on obviously non-vegan KZbin videos to try and impose their diets on others.

hey Buff Bros, serious question here! im on a cutting period right now and ive cut down all saturated fat from my diet, only sources are olive oil, avocados, peanut butter, all the protein I eat are mostly chicken breasts. But when Im eating lean red meat I feel much better, have more energy, I dont know if its because of the zinc content in it, the saturated fat or maybe the trace amount of steroids in meat that are used to beef the cattle up.

Plus I got the big salsa, frozen chicken breast, big bag o' broccoli, 4lbs of Fat Free Yogurt, 3lbs Ground Turkey, 3pckgs Turkey Bacon, 5 cans of tuna. Everything was under $70. Great place! Thanks for the vid! First one that actually helped for my low budget.

One tip for cheap food. Go to the markett. Here in the netherlands on the market i can find a crate of 10 mango's or 10 avocado's for as cheap as 1 euro. Wheras in the grocery store I would pay 10 to 20 times that price
