Actually frozen veggies can be fresher because they are frozen shortly after being picked locking in freshness . So called "Fresh" vegetables have been in storage longer.

Fat free refried beans when hungover. They aren't that bad for you, yet somehow satisfies the craving for grease when you are hungover. Plus you fart a lot, which is awesome.

+Jonathan Petrosky you can buy 60 or 90 eggs at a lot of places, but I think that box is 120 or a gross. I'm just wondering if they have a buff dudes refrigerator just for their eggs.

Nathan Henry I imagine they don't fill up their fridge. If their buff dude meals are being honest I can't Imagine they need a lot of food. Probably get what they need when they prep. however I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't have another buff fridge hiding.

Don't forget low fat 1% cottage cheese! 23g protein for 1 cup, 160cal! Add a few spoons of light fruit cocktail or freash fruit to it and it's incredibly tasty! Oh and I think a more reasonable number is around 160 a month, at least if you are buying from walmart, that's about what it runs me, if you shop at Aldi, Costco, or warehouse market you might get out for around 130, but sometimes the quality of food is not so good.

Hey Odysseus! We currently live in California (Where everything is pretty expensive compared to Oregon, where we grew up) and you're right, we were lowballing it by saying $100 for a month (realistically this list lasts us about two weeks and for one of us it's usually around $300 a month) but you can save a lot of money by buying it in bulk. That's why we grab that HUGE crate of eggs! It's well worth it!

1 tip on Stevia, some have maltodextrin as a filler which can wreck weight loss, I order 100% stevia online in powder and eyedropper form, at first glance it appears to be a little expensive, but a dab 'll do ya, i use about 1/4th to 1/2 a teaspoon in my "cup" of coffee which is about 20 ounces

If you want to buy food in bulk, fairly cheap, and healthy I suggest shopping at costco, bj's, or any other huge stores. I went to walmart and it was fairly more expensive than costco. Usually go to winn dixie since it's so close to my home but it doesnt have nearly as many options as other stores.

Frozen fruits and vegetables have actually been shown to have higher nutrient content than their fresh counterparts as they are typically flash frozen right after being picked and are picked at a 'ripe' stage when they are packing the highest nutrient content where as the 'fresh' vegetables and fruits you buy at the store that have not been frozen are typically PRIOR to their 'ripe' stage (so that they can be shipped to you and not be spoiled during that time frame) thus robbing them of achieving their maximum nutritional potential/value.

The biggest part of this for me is that I'm a college student, living on campus, and the food money I have is all on a meal plan. There is definitely healthy food here, but I can't really cook my own meals unless I'm at a friends house, which I rarely am. I am just here to say that even if you live on a college campus, you can still eat healthy with what you have.

Good tip. Personally, I would not drink cow milk, I would only use it for cooking. It is also very easy to make oat milk, rice milk or almond milk. Would also buy peanuts and make my own peanut butter. Would also buy dried beans, lentils, cocoa, bulgur wheat, peppermint oil, bananas, pineapple, garlic powder, balsamic vinegar, cider vinegar, lemon juice, cinnamon, whole canned tomatoes, cabbage, spinach, carrots, olive oil ...
