Captain's Hook I love in my Blim, Comedic Genius deck, since instead of just his normal strategy of giving his own things away I'll use effects like Enslave and Confusion in the Ranks to give my opponents creatures to other players. My wife runs Brutal Horde Chief in her Saskia deck and it has straight up won her several games. It's real good. Bubble matrix seems like it could be pretty good in mill. You don't actually have to have red in your deck to run burnt offering. It only counts mana symbols, since the card just says red, it's fine. Hmm, I was originally thinking that Burnout was just worse than Red Elemental Blast, but after you talked about it, I think it might actually be better. Cool.

1) Burnout is my personal favorite card. I love the art on it. 2) Burnt Offering can be put in a mono black deck. Although it says black/ red, it doesn't have a red mana symbol on it, which is what affects its identity. 3) That's good tech with Pirates Hook, just remember when you unattach it you have to put it on a creature you control, so pick something expendable or indestructible so when you move it to another opponents creature. Edit: Number 2 is incorrect.

By the way, notice that Brutal Warchief's activated ability doesn't say that it has to be you who attacks. You could have one opponent attack another and control the blocking. Hey man, another great vid. Your content is fantastic. Preface: played the sheet out of your Questing Beast list this weekend on MTGO. Absolutely love it. Question for you: Do you consider that deck casual? I'm thinking I'm playing a mono color build that relies on attacking creatures and rabid bites so I'm clearly the most casual dude present, but people get extremely salted when I remove their enchantments and artifacts quick and in a hurry (which your list excels at). Am I not playing "correct" by using removal? Am I not playing "correct" by using removal to early? Are a lot of people just cry babies who quit early when they don't get their way? Would be great to hear your thoughts and opinions on the "culture" of the MTGO commander scene and how to navigate the random tag lines people use for various games (casual, casual-ish, CEDH, Chill-Fun, etc) in a future video. Keep up the great work.

Best merfolk tribal commanders? Looking at simic or mono blue I just have a bunch
@whirlwindsky3 жыл бұрын
I got a Kumena, Tyrant of Orazca merfolk tribal and he is very good. If you don't want to use him then Momir Vig, Simic Visionary would also do well. For mono blue I think Kopala, Warden of Waves is really the only "merfolk tribal" specific option, but Empress Galina might work, or even Callaphe, Beloved of the Sea. I think going with a simic option would be best though.

Shouldn't be so dismissive of putting captains hook in a pirate deck. Becket Brass is grixis so plenty of steal effects there, plus making it a pirate makes the Admirals ability easier to trigger, you steal something and put the hook on that, swing in, steal something else, then switch the hook. You destroy one creature and have the other press gagnged. Love it.

@zacharythorp60956 ай бұрын
Mmm, Burn at the Stake. I remember playing this when it was in Standard, hitting for 12 to 15. It hasn't registered on my searches because it doesn't do set damage values if you're searching for 4, 5, or 6 damage. Call of the Wild, not so much. This ability was printed at common in War of the Spark, it's still a bad ability. The only, only time it's good is when you are peeking at the top card and when the things being played are quite expensive.
