In honour of Spider-Man: Lotus and Superman: Solar being out and both sucking, I wanna show some love and support to a fanfilm that I actually love. Thanks to twitter for guiding me to this gem, and thanks for Dan Poole for helping answer my questions.
Genuinely, The Green Goblin's Last Stand is some of the best live action Spider-Man I've seen. I love it, and I wish that after he released this they continued to make these, but alas, a dream's a dream to be dreamed about later.
I should've reviewed Blue Beetle, but I'm not another schmuck jumping at trends, I do what I want, even if my channel suffers for it!
Here's the links to the full movie and the behind the scenes documentary:

anyways,
thanks for watching, cheers.

I loved this film! You guys were amazing and honestly without this I doubt that the Spider-Man or even marvel films would ever take off. This blended the lines between comic and also brutal reality. I’ve seen people saying there were more of the short films, do you know where I could see them perhaps! I hope this isn’t akward but I just found this yesterday and I have to say it’s been on my mind

The scene at 11:58 has always stuck with me ever since I first watched this fan film, I feel like a lot of actors sadly stray from showing this kind of raw emotion in their performances because they don't want to seem too cheesey or campy. A bit of a correction when it comes to James Cameron's Spider-Man, as he wasn't involed with the Cannon version during the 80s, his version was gonna be made by Carolco Pictures in 1991 while the Cannon version had multiple directors like Joe Zeto or Albert Pyun.

I'm a longtime Spidey fan, and actually found out about this fanfilm (and the 'Making Of' documentary) way back in 2007 when I was like 15, and an aspiring filmmaker. The fact that Dan did his own stunts for real shows he has BALLS. It was this fanfilm and the first "Clerks" movie by Kevin Smith that straight-up inspired me to get into filmmaking in a more serious way. I ended up going to Ithaca College, and graduated w/ a Bachelor of Science in TV & Film Production :)

Great review, thanks. I first heard of Dan Poole around 2008 in a book Homemade Hollywood by Cliff Young. Quite a good book on fan films if anyone is interested in that subject. Years later I found Dan's KZbin page and finally saw the film. Quite an accomplishment. I had planned to make a Spidey fan film, but always felt the work would be too much for a film that really wouldn't be mine. I did do a couple of animated test shots and the costume had the raised webs like in the Raimi films, except I did my tests in the 80's.

Oh I’ve seen it along with owning a copy of it on DVD and the fact that Dan Pool made this movie back in the early 90s on a show-string budget while preforming all of the action and crazy stunts not only makes the film totally work but it’s also a testament to him, his entire team and the dedication they all had! Personally, I love this fan film and the fact that it totally has that early 90s charm makes it even better to me. If you’re a Spiderman fan and if you want to see a cool home made fan film, then The Green Goblin’s Last Stand is something you should totally check out. I also wanted to say that I really enjoyed his video and that I commend you for giving Dan Pool’s Spidey fan film some much needed love and appreciation. What Dan said about how people should use todays technology to make bigger and better fan films since it’s so much easier to bring passion projects to life nowadays with the resources available in comparison to what he had back then. It truly makes me wonder why we don’t see more polished, longer length Superhero fan films today. With all that being said, whenever I go back and rewatch Green Goblin’s Last Stand I can’t help but have the upmost respect for what Dan Pool was able to accomplish with the tools he had during the late 80s and early 90s. Again, thank you for sharing this and I look forward to seeing more of your content! Take care!
