I had a neighbor that taught himself how to play the bagpipes. I like most bagpipe music but if you can imagine how two orgasming cats sounds then you get the idea how he sounded. Nice enough guy and his family was good as well, but it took him years to finally learn just one song. He played it over and over. Drove us crazy.

Honestly if I had to deal with a neighbor that was constantly playing with my dog while I’m taking him out on a walk, but would ignore me....I would just be petty. I would keep my dog close and walk away ignore their attempt to play with my dog. If they eventually speak up to get my attention to play with my dog I would just say “oh so you can talk“

I had a neighbor who was forbidden from talking to or looking at women by his insanely jealous wife. He moved not long after I moved in, but I heard stories from other neighbors reporting injuries on him after he was forced to acknowledge someone female for any reason.... I hope he got out of that relationship.

I immediately thought of Mark when this happened just this morning! On my way out my own nightmare neighbor's 400lbs pig was asleep in the porch literally blocking the door. He's a registered offender who was evicted for having 12 goats, 5 dogs, 2 horses, and 2 huge pigs in a rental property. It's been 12 days since he was supposed to be gone yet he's living in a van outside the house and lets the animals run free. We called animal control and I had to sneak out back of my own home to get to my car. Can't wait until this clown is gone. 😑
@kolonarulez5222

The goats are constantly making noise and have eaten our plants and pooped in the yard, dogs are always fighting each other, and the pig spread a brand new bag of potting soil all over the porch. Animal Control did nothing and even tried to laugh it off saying they weren't qualified to handle anything other than cats and dogs. A complete joke.

I've had a few nightmare neighbors. One set, when I was renting a mobile home, were from Colombia. Cars, usually nice ones (odd for this 'hood), coming/going all day and night. My good neighbor and I suspected they sold drugs. Good neighbor moves out, and a low-class family moves in. Their little boy (about 8yo) asked me once if I ever killed anyone! Sheesh.... Even my landlord' s Mom, who sometimes collected rent money, once called them "the family ftom Hell"! Landlord's sister took over the property and immediately more than doubled the rent! I then moved out and bought my own property.

I had a crazy neighbor who fed my dogs rat poison treats. One of my dogs ate a gallon buckets worth of driveway gravel with the poison and was throwing up rocks for half a day afterwards. Luckily most of the poison came up with it so she had minimal damage and was perfectly fine in a couple days. The other nearly died. She had to have blood and plasma transfusions for two weeks straight. And for another month after getting her home I was feeding her a special diet of steamed white rice, scrambled eggs and soft dog food per vets recommendation as her body recovered. I had to carry her up and down the stairs (she was quarantined to my bedroom) for potty time - which was not easy because she was a boarder collie mix and I was a skinny teenage girl with almost no muscle mass. She had to take this nasty dark brown syrupy meds that smelled worse than paint thinner (I gave her peanut butter afterwards). My good girl went through hell. But what did she do to deserve it you ask? They both went out to the yard through their doggy door and noticed a huge fallen tree branch put a hole in the fence and they got out. We didn’t know about the hole because of where it was in the yard until it was too late. They weren’t barkers. Never bit anyone. My girl was so good she would walk me to the bus stop (two houses down from our house at the time) and keep me company until the bus came then walk herself home and go back in through the dog door. The old lady wasn’t even out direct neighbor she lived 5 houses down and the dogs never bothered her. She just hates animals. Several other neighbors had similar stories. She even tricked one neighbors dog into jumping out their open living room window and coming onto her property where she shot him. We tried to press charges on her but we had no proof and the law was somehow on her fucking side. Turned out all she would have gotten was a $250 fine to “replace the animal” but that was apparently the last straw for her son - everyone made complaints to him. He had her declared mentally incompetent and made her move into a nursing home. Jokes on her though. Both dogs lived for another 10 happy loving years until passing away from cancer in 2019. One in the spring and the other in the fall.

So my mum and I live in a townhouse complex and our neighbor 2 doors down is awful. They've had at least 4 dogs since we moved in 8 years ago and they never last long because they're awful pet owners. They have 4 kids who bully the other kids in the neighborhood. At least 2 cats they leave outside and barely let in the house regardless of weather. The boyfriend parks in front of our unit just to piss off my mum after she asked him nicely to leave room for her car. The dog they had last summer jumped their backyard fence, bit someone and the mom tried to blame the victim.

I was the drama at one point in my neighborhood. Lol. It's super quiet here. Like, you can hear normal noises bouncing off houses, quiet. Well, five years ago, I went into a diabetic coma, and my mom had to call am ambulance. When I came back home the next week, EVERYONE was asking about me and if I was okay. They all saw me on the stretcher and were concerned. I love it here.

Man do I have an entitled neighbor right now. I was thinking of putting it under entitled parents sometime, but I could maybe put it under this sub Reddit too. But the jist is that one of my neighbors things it's okay to let their four year old son run around the neighborhood by himself. He's gotten into our yard and has let out our chickens. We use to not have to put a lock on but now we do. Then when we say something to the dad, he tries to gaslight us. What a douchebag.

I had a neighbour who would tell me about how people were breaking into her room (we lived in a house where everyone rented a room and shared 2 bathrooms and a kitchen. Although a couple rooms had bathrooms in them and there were 2 apartments also on the house) through the floor and also they would sneak through the walls to get into her room. She said they would just steal her things and leave her boyfriend's things alone. She claimed one time that they stole her phone that apparently looked just like the one she was holding in her hand.

I hope you at least have a car to sleep in or friends who will let you crash on their couch (or bed or floor). It will get better. I've been in a similar situation (wasn't kicked out, I left because of sexual abuse by my father, I was 18 and my mother lived in another state), fortunately I did have a car I could sleep in and friends that would let me sleep on their couch, extra room or floor. Eventually my boyfriend at the time had me move in to his dad's apartment (with his dad's permission) where he was staying. After a couple years we had a baby girl and I was with him until she was 18 and I moved out and broke up with him because he had been mentally abusive for the last 7-8 years of our relationship. I stayed because A. I didn't really have anywhere to go B. my self esteem was nill, so I didn't think I could handle it on my own C. I wanted my daughter to have a roof over her head and I wanted her to have both parents. My daughter was grown up (18 years old and quite mature for her age) and heading to college, I again had a car, and I had a couple of friends who were able to help me restart my life again. Helped build up my self esteem and I fell in love with one of them, so now I have a husband, dog, cat, 2 vehicles, a roof over our heads and a job. So, believe me when I say it will get better. May take a little bit to get better, but it will eventually. Peace, hugs and love to you and everyone else. Sorry about the long reply.

The house next to mine has been rented out by an elderly couple for several years now, and only one group of people who've stayed there are worth mentioning. The College Kids. I only really knew that they went to college(we live in suburbs outside a big city, so it was either one of the colleges downtown, or a nearby community college). I personally never had a run in with them, as I was around 8 at the they were there, but they held parties with other college kids sometimes. Their las party apparently trashed the place. I heard about broken windows, broken furniture, and (maybe) burnt carpets. They left soon after, but I remember them renting that house more than anyone else

Back when landlines were popular, no text messages yet and beepers were only for the rich, we had a neighbour we called the "informant". I called her chacha because she was chatty AF. One day, on the other side of the county, literally opposite side from where we lived, a daughter eloped and the parents were worried. They went to the police and all and couldn't find her. They went to Chacha as a last resort and true to her nickname, she knew where the daughter was, the exact motel she stayed in and man she was eloping with (a creepy 30+ old and daughter was 17). As stated by the grateful family, they were a bit weirder out of her living room. Right by her landline phone was a big book shelf with those old leather bound notebooks and had names on them ans arranged alphabetically. Chacha apparently spends hours talking to people on the phone (her "network") and jotting down her gossip. When she died a few years back at the age of 97, her family couldn't find the notebooks. I believe she has them either hidden in a storage unit or digitized in some way. I've encountered her several times in Facebook and she's good at getting info from you with her "Hello dearie" intro. In fact, she was so good that during her life, Private investigators and police actually got tips from her. Though her info couldn't be used as evidence cause they're all hearsay. Overall though, she was a good woman. There was a theory going around that she was a spy/sleeper agent from Germany from world war 2 and just acclimatized in living in USA. Because the only family she had are inlaws and her descendants (kids, grandkids and grand-grandkids). She had no siblings, aunts/uncles or even any hint of her parents as far as I knew of. Now that I think about it, every time my siblings and I went trick or treating at her house, she always has us and other kids stop for a chat and asking questions about family, life, and promotions at work of our parents etc. Our neighborhood was at the edge of a military town...

Hey Mark, what you said about people showing up when there is drama, I don't know about Britain but in the United States when modern crime scene investigation was still in its infancy people used to show up and trapse through houses were murders had been committed like in the Lizzie Bordern case (1892) and the Villisca Axe Murders (1912). People came from miles away to contaminate the scene.

I don't have anything too bad. Once lived above an older couple. The wife would always complain about how much noise we made. (We were actually pretty quiet, especially for a family with a 3 year old.) I'd often wake up in the middle of the night because the husband would randomly start screaming. I didn't complain about it though, I was able to get back to sleep alright and he sounded legitimately freaked out so didn't need the added stress. I think he had PTSD, but we never found out for sure.

I had a very small dog who would give a little yip at my back door when she wanted in. My neighbor on the OPPOSITE side of my house would bang on my door, screaming that he needs to sleep...this was in the afternoon. Meanwhile their big mean dog would stand on their deck, just outside my bedroom window and bark ALL NIGHT LONG. I guess one little yip over a hundred feet from him during the day was intolerable but his large barking dog who barked loudly twenty feet from my bedroom window all night was just fine. I was so relieved when his house was repossessed and he was gone. These were two separate houses on large lots. Oh and the master bedroom in his house was on the side fartherest from my house.

For almost 3 years, my boyfriend and I lived in a hotel, which was located in a shitty neighborhood. We are both disabled by the way. We have been blind since birth. Anyway this family lived pretty close to our room. They might have lived right next-door. Almost every day, we would hear them scream at their crying baby. The scariest part was when sometimes we would hear what sounded like a loud thud, followed by silence. We were scared that maybe they were actually throwing their baby against the wall or something like that. We wished we could have told someone, but we didn’t know if possibly the couple would come after us in retaliation. A really awkward moment came for me one day when the mother tried to help me find my Uber. I tried to say as little as possible because I didn’t want passersby to think that I was friends with a crazy, psycho monster.

One neighbor I had, wasn't really a neighbor from hell, but he was definitely not all there. He was constantly having arguments with himself(no Bluetooth on him) and seemed to be always angry. He never acted violently, and he got along with my pup. My pup was a Chihuahua and fox terrier mix, but he BARKED like a dog much bigger than him. He was also a runt, so he was even tinier than normal. The pup and my crazy neighbor got along great and I would let the man walk my pup since he seemed to like the small pup and the pup liked him. Edit: Oh, and apparently the people who lived in the apartment before us WERE neighbors from hell. Doing drugs, having loud intimacy, and even the underaged daughter was sneaking older men in through her window.

You know, this video has made me think....except for the very brief period when I was 2-4 years old one of our immediate next-door neighbors in the various places we've lived in has always been batsh*t crazy in some way. And I'm nigh on 30 now. The first was the guy who ran a "dog training school" outside of his home when I was a kid. In reality it was where he bred and trained dogs to be as violent and vicious as possible. When that guy died and the new tenants cleaned the place out they found his various torture implements in the basement where he turned his dogs feral. The walls and doors were covered in scratches and dried blood. He disposed of dogs that didn't survive his "training" in the well in the yard. This was my grandmother's neighbor, where I lived briefly from the ages of 4-5. Next came the *delightful* couple that lived in the apartment below us. These people called the police on us constantly due to noise complaints. What was said noise? Watching TV during the day. Using the stairs to the loft. Children playing with hotwheels. Normal living room conversation. We didn't even last a year and neither did any tenants after us. To my knowledge that apartment still sits empty to this very day. The next guy was a hoarder and openly Hitler-worshipping Nazi (not the Neo kind though, the old-timer variety). Ironically, though annoying, this guy was pretty harmless at first. He'd talk mad game about the good old days of the Reich but any time we'd have our (visibly Middle Eastern) friends over he was perfectly polite. I liked to annoy him by playing Call of Duty 1 and 2 at the time and shooting up the Nazis with glee. As the years passed though, his mental health took a dive and as his house broke down over years of neglect he started to upset the whole neighborhood. Instead of occasionally hanging out to talk and bringing gifts, he'd instead invite himself into our place every single day and sit on our porch drinking our coffee (not the first thing we wanted to see in the morning). His plumbing had been barely functional for years (this also means he had no working shower or bathtub for years...yeah) and eventually stopped working alltogether. Instead of fixing it, he took to peeing in buckets and dumping it out of his upper bathroom windows.....right onto our front lawn. After about a year of the police not doing anything about this due to it being a "civil matter", he was finally forcefully comitted to an assisted living facility after he did it right in front of them. He died soon after. Cleaning out that place was a nightmare of its own. There were plants growing out of the toilet bowl..... Next one was much like the last one, except this hoarder was a woman who decided she hated young people. Any time we moved past her and said hello she'd rant at us for interrupting her day. If we moved past her without saying hello, she'd rant at us for being rude. Her house STANK up the entire street. I'd see her eating food out of her trashcan. Her porch is just filled with stolen shopping carts full of garbage bags dripping with mystery goo. We moved not long after she pushed my girlfriend into incoming traffic after passing her on the sidewalk. Yeah. Our current delightful neighbors act like they own the apartment building. In fact, for about 2 years I assumed they DID own it. They claimed to after all. Eventually though, I discovered this was NOT the case. When we first moved here, the missus made no secret of the fact that she hated us immediately. Anything that was out of place in the building HAD to be our doing. Garbage bag left in front of the community bins outside? Must be us (it wasn't). She rang up every single apartment in the building to complain that we'd done this (except ours of course, and we hadn't done that) until she got to the last one who admitted that it was them because the bins are full (as they usually were, because they're too small to accomodate nine families). She did not apologize. Front door left unlocked and open? Rings up our door to rant at us for doing that (it wasn't). Dog poop in the garden? Must be us (it wasn't, we avoid that garden lest we run into her). Stairwell was dirty during our cleaning week that day? All it takes is one person to come in with wet, muddy shoes after I'd cleaned it that morning for it to be messy again. Again, nine families live here; some of whom have children and we live in a rural area. There will be mud. The final straw was when she came knocking and screaming at my door with one of my garbage bags in hand. She'd pulled it out the community bin, cut it open and came to rant at me for not seperating trash properly after examining its' contents. I let her know that first of all, those containers ARE in fact appropriate for that particular bin (I'd checked beforehand, they're hybrid plastic and metallic packaging and are fine to dispose in either general or specialied packaging bins) and second of all, cutting up and inspecting people's garbage is a CRIME, not even the police are allowed to do this without a warrant and if she did it again, I would be pressing charges. She's been mercifully silent since.

My crazy neighbor thought we were dating and told the cops (after the 4th time they were called) that “we” were just having a bad breakup and he’s emotional. We never even went on a date. I never stepped foot into his place. He’s asked me out for a year and for a year I said no. He’s still there and plays loud music until 1:00 am whenever he sees me near another man. He also made up scenarios I was supposedly in but never actually happened.

I had a crazy neighbor in my first apartment complex after I left the Navy. I bought a Futon and needed to put it together, but slept on the floor to not disturb neighbors. I went to the leasing office at noon to ask the landlord if I could make my Futon in my apartment. He said yes but I better be done before 7. The landlord and I let all my neighbors know what was going on and asked if they would be ok. ALL said yes. As soon as I start, I hear banging on my door so loud that I thought someone was trying to bust my door down. I grabbed my shotgun and opened the door. It was one of my neighbors mad that I was making noise AFTER SAYING IT WAS OK. I put the gun down once I realized it was my neighbor. I asked him to give me 10 more minutes as I was almost done. Next thing I know cops are at my door. My neighbor said I threatened to murder him. I grabbed my camera footage and showed it to the police, which cleared me of wrongdoing. Next day my neighbor kicks in my door and has a knife in hand, so I pull my gun on him before he can get close. I tell him he has two options, put the weapon down and wait on cops or get shot. He said he wanted to leave. I told him that was not an option due to him breaking and entering. I told him I would shoot him if he made ANY move because I would perceive it as a threat. He drops the knife and begs me to let him go. I tell him ANY movement will be perceived as an effort to reach for the knife and I'll act in self-defense if needed. Cops show up and arrest him.

I've only had problems with 2 neighbors my old in from neighbor and my behind one. My infront one has moved away since, buy when I first moved in to the neighborhood for some reason he hated me from the first time he saw me. I guess his thought process was "hmm young guy huge house, he is obviously going to be a issue". Well after I was settled in, I have a tradition to put this cheap dollar store lawn flamingo out front signifying "this is home" his name is Lord Bennett Esquire the second by the way lol. He flipped his crap calling me "trashy" the thing is this is a 14000 sq ft property you couldn't even see him, not to mention the freaking stone fence surrounding my property (all properties have it) he tried to get me in trouble with the HOA but they basically told me to pound sand. Well he wasn't going to let it go, one day as I walked out to get the mail, Bennett was missing, although I knew exactly what happened I went to look at the cameras. Well sure thing old fart climb my freaking gate took Bennett and ran home. We have on site armed security, basically a private police force, I rang them and told them what happened showed them the vid, butthole had give it back plus got a trespassing citation from the sheriff office, on top of that a HOA fine for "unneighborly behavior" well I was not satisfied I was out for blood. I played the poor youngester getting bullied by th old fart card and basically turned all our neighbors against him lol, didn't take much as they already didn't like him. Next after checking with HOA board, I had a 6ft tall fiberglass flamingo made and placed next to Bennett, I weather proofed a mariachi hat and firmly attached it to him along with a mustache. I got questioned about the added decorations, my answer was "well I like flamingos and I'm from Mexico" alot of my neighbors liked my quirky idea so a beautiful tradition of lawn flamingos with heritage themes was created in the entire neighborhood except for one house lol. The miserable old fart moved about 5 months later and a lovely lady and her 2 daughters moved in. As the nut case that is my behind neighbor well... That is a story for another day.
