Long ago, close to sixty years now, my mother taught me and my brother how to do what was considered at the time "woman's work". We weren't happy having to wash dishes, do laundry, and clean house, and eventually learn to cook our meals. The reason she did this was in her own words, "So you don't have to rely on someone else to do it for you." We didn't understand it then but when we got older and were completely independent men we knew that she really meant we wouldn't have to be reliant on a woman. She knew even back then, so it is not some recent change in women. They've always been the way they are and it is up to men to weed out the bad ones and look for and cherish the good women.

I'm certified as a ballroom teacher, 5 years of salsa formation, 20 years in dancing. It takes 5 times as long to train a man as woman, most guys put zero effort in and continue to show up and be terrible while being overly aggressive with dating even continuing to push for sex with women they just danced with once. It is a meritocracy, you can't fake it and it takes time but it is something to do WITH a woman-with your arms around her as opposed to trips, dinners, shows where you are just an atm. A good leader can make a woman dance like a queen with almost no training while an inexperienced leader will make a woman with years of training look and feel terrible.

@@averybaumann - I took ballroom dancing with 5 styles taught, and it might not have been the best place to progress in such a short amount of 10 weeks' time, but what gets me is how women seem to be too harsh about if/when a man isn't a good dancer. The guy might have taken classes, but doesn't get the coordination of it all, so he should be discarded for that? That seems like BS. I'm reasonably coordinated on the dance floor, played sports for years, but certain dancing doesn't come naturally. Maybe I would need to take 10 to 15 weeks of salsa classes to focus on it and be OK at it, but it seems so cutthroat on the woman's part if Male X isn't as sharp as Male Y. The whole "feel terrible" part of your comment seems like it's more of a fault on the woman's part in terms of her attitude.

It took me way too long to realize my desire for a companion is all biological and an illusion that will never make me happy. Idk how I let society make me feel that way? Probably because I’ve always been in a relationship. I am just now starting to take the step to love myself and do what is right for me, instead of trying to track down women.

Have a home before you get into serious relationship. Be able to give her a choice: working or not. When I married my wife was a student and was also working. She was making a month as much as I was making in 3-4 hours. She graduated from university, but decided to stay home even though she had many good offers, but my income also increased by that time and regardless of how good those offers were they wouldn't improve our financial situation. It doesn't make much sense to come home and find tired irritated woman after you had a long and difficult day yourself. If you can't afford to make life comfortable for both of you, don't get into serious relationship. Relux and don't rush into relationship. At 35 I married a 19 years old attractive virgin, who made a good wife and mother.

@Lukas Not at all creepy if your main goal and attitude is to get fit. Generally you do not want to be hitting on women at a yoga studio, but there were many times after a class that I'd strike a conversation with them. Let them come to you, if they are interested they will make it abundantly clear and you can organize a date from there. Otherwise they are very welcoming and happy to see guys in class.

Not sure what it's like in other parts of the world, but it's been like that for me in the US - NJ, FL, and IA. Also pro tip, many yoga studios offer an intro month membership for a steep discount, like 30/mo. It's a great way to get a feel for what kind of people go there and you can keep switching studios until you find a good group of people. Not to mention you'll stay in great shape.

Not to be mean with him, but I see no other reason for his lack of success and overall feeling of failure than the hidden shame of the typical «nice guy». This is a self-esteem issue and all the money and muscle in the world won't cure his problem WITHOUT the internal work. His internal dialogue most be fucked up. I've been there and I have nothing but compassion for him. I really fucking love Rich's straight-to-the-point-advice, but some of us need to be taken by the hand in the begining. He should look for Robert Glover's ''No more Mr. Nice Guy'' stuff as a starting point. I also suggest Corey Wayne's videos as he is VERY good at explaining ''why you should not put out the I'M LOOKING FOR A GIRLFRIEND vibe'' (which only attracts the kind of woman he gets). And of course, working out will help him rebuild his self-esteem. Trail/mountain running is amazing for that. And lifting of course. At some point, I hope, he will realize that he is so amazing that he doesn't need women, quite the opposite in fact. Hold tight brother.

Entrepreneurs in Cars are you dating women, have a girlfriend or you staying away from women? My uncle is straight and is attracted to women but he don't trust women and he is a 64 year old virgin that never dated who likes his freedom and being alone. He doesn't even have a pet and he is happy and content being alone by himself. Me on the other hand was the opposite of my Uncle and I had 10 relationships with women in my life so far in my late 40's with one 7 year marriage ended in divorce because of a money hungry gold digging wife that always wanted bigger and better things no matter how nice we had it and I put my foot down and said I had enough. Then after my divorce in 2005 I had a 2 year relationship with a woman that turned out crazy with borderline personality disorder which was the meanest woman I ever knew and I thought I could change her for the better but I was wrong because she is set in her ways and the only person that can change her is herself. I been taking a long break from women for 9 years so far since 2011 and I enjoy my peace, freedom and saving money from spending it on women. I no longer think my 64 year old virgin Uncle is strange for not trusting women and staying single. Entrepreneurs in Cars are you dating women, have a girlfriend or you staying away from women?

This guy is off to a good start but his internal dialogue needs to change about himself. It's incongruent with his self-perception, the world around him and how he navigates himself in it. Self-confidence. Self-reliance. Sole dependence. He needs to understand these things from a male perspective and make decisions that nurture and encourage them. He may also need a new peer group that will help him excel at life and get him to where he wants to be and continue going in life. I didn't hear anything about that in his email. This needs to happen asap! Reaching out to Rich is the best first move because change starts with awareness. Now, all he has left to do is to "DO. THE. WORK." Another great response! While I was saving, I was also still providing for her working 2 jobs. She didn’t save a damn cent to invest in anything. I gave and gave. Well, guess what. She ended up leaving me. I was devastated and scrapped all plans because my world revolved around her being in it. That was my old blue pill self. I actually sought therapy to figure out why I dated single moms who had daddy issues. Every single woman from the age of 19 to 38 was a single mom with no bio dad in her life. Mind you, I never sought that out, it’s what I always landed. Anyway, I’m on the path of self discovery and I’m more complete on knowing myself than ever before. Maybe it's just me but I've found that I feel more alone when I'm in a relationship than not being in one and its largely IMO because of an expectation of friendship/etc. I put that on me. So real friends are very important. I can't offer more advice than that for women. For real estate... that I do know. And it is a far trickier game than what's peddled often online. COVID has changes things but IMO in the area I'm in, it's a fools market. People are paying ridiculous prices to move out of cities. Condos in the city are IMO going to struggle for value but single family homes with land within 30-60 minutes could fetch a high price again depending on location. I say this for the guy because to tie it back, 1: depending on where you are/looking know it could be a sellers market. 2: My recommendation is to buy based on ONE income. And I wouldn't do so with a 'potential' girlfriend. He's young... think about what he wants, is willing to do, what he would like in a house and look for it that way.

Unless you are living in a high demand market or near a military post, I would definitely not consider working in RE. I live an hour north of Austin and also near a military post. Our housing market is always in a buyer's market due to the amount of service-members coming and going.

@@DIVISIONINCISION Definitely agree. It's really just a matter of when and its a part of it is tied to the low interest rates. But its I interesting too because it isn't as though everyone qualifies. I'm in the Northeast and it is absolutely insane. 30 minutes outside Boston and you're getting over asking price. New England didn't suffer as as bad as other areas in the US back in 09-10 but still - it's a fools market IMO. I also think a lot of people working for major companies that are working from home are overestimating their employment/salary in 2021.... It's just a sellers market now. But that will change. Agree. IMO... it's tough to sell but if people can sell now and maybe live modestly in the downturn... great potential.
