I've only watched the first few minutes, but I must stop and say, 'Please don't apologise for sipping tea'. You've invited us into your cosy living room to chat before bed, and it's delightful. 🥰 I hope these people realise that it's not easy to press record and share your thoughts on social media (especially in such an authentic way), so let's all allow Shauna to be comfortable when she invites us into her home. 😇

I love all of your videos Shauna, but your Wednesday chat is now something I really look forward to. I’m in my 50’s & live alone now that my 18 year old daughter has moved out & I’m not afraid to admit it gets a bit lonely. I miss having a girly chat over a cuppa, so when I saw your first video last week I watched you in my big tv screen & felt like I had a friend over. You have such a lovely, friendly way about you. I’ve been subscribed for a while now & I’m so happy to see your channel growing into a wonderful community. Congratulations and thank you for treating us as friends 💜

Harry cannot have access to Royal property - it is a security risk. Harry and Meghan’s past history of invasion of the Wales’ children’s rooms, filming in the palace without permission, recording conversations and items going missing would preclude either having access to the Royal properties.

Its got to be true, if you watch the video of King Charles meeting up with the famous youtube mountain biker, the group clearly star they are staying in a cabin rental on the Estate and there is no way Charles is just out walking alone. I too had a Toxic Boss. I had, for the sake of my mental health, to take time off work. Lots of visits to the doctor, psychiatrists etc. Went on Unpaid leave and it was very difficult financially. Cut a long story short, the issues with my boss was dealt by my Union and with a conciliation and lawyers, was awarded money for the time off. My boss has now left the workplace after bullying three others in my absence. Have returned to work and have been back one month. Can now work in a safe harassment free zone. Life is sweet.

You're so right, River's eulogy for the tree, and compassionate talk about the situation in general, was astoundingly beautiful. Shauna, I'm sure River wouldn't have any problems with anyone getting the pronouns wrong. I'm still not sure how he/she/they identifies pronoun-wise. One thing River send to sincerely have, in abundance, is true compassion so you probably don't need to worry☺️

Dear Shauna, I was delighted to hear your tale about your job interview, as it took me back to year 1965 for a job interview in the book retail outlet of the Drugstore des Champs Elysée, that at the time was pretty glamourous and I thought perfect for me. I confess that I desperately wanted the position but had no previous experience, therefore I went dressed as smartly as I could, with inward fear but outward self assurance, told a few porky pies along the way and hoped for the best. Much to my amazement, a week later, I was chosen among literally hundred of applicants. I worked very hard to learn the trade as it were, and adored the job. It was very special as a lot of actors, politicians, singers, celebrities were clients, and as I worked in the evenings it was leisurely for both myself and the customers. I had the pleasure of chatting with Sidney Poitier and his wife and many well known French people. Late 1967, I left to go to London as I was reading so much about 'The Swinging Sixties' ...Stayed fifty year and had a great life.

@ginnypurdey1 thank you for sharing your story. After my dream job turned into a nightmare, I was so demoralized I slipped into a mild depression. I eventually moved on but the whole experience left a bitter taste in my mouth. A couple of years later I was listening to an HG Tudor video and it was like a light bulb went off over my head. The initial love bombing; the golden period; the sustained devaluation - the entire timeline was right out of the narcissists’ playbook. When that last puzzle piece fell into place, I was finally able to make sense of what had happened. That experience is why I identify so strongly with the Sussex Survivors’ Club. It’s so awful when a job you love goes wrong because of a narcissist.

Lovely stories! I worked 3 months in a toxic environment with two ladies who’d only ever worked closely together, no third person, so I was odd one newcomer! With cold shoulder. I’m glad you got out and found a good work place. I ended up out of work at the time of the Sydney Olympic Games, not good! Everything stopped here. No one employing new staff. I did rounds of interviews with no success and I noticed they usually asked the stock standard questions, ending with “Tell something you may do that may annoy others” Well I was a bit fed up with that silly question at final interview so I said “I play loud Beatle music when I’m doing housework!” The guy interviewing laughed heartily and said “So do I!” I got the job! And was happy there for 17 years. I was honest and didn’t give the expected answer about being fussy or exact in my work. It’s good to simply be yourself sometimes.

I'm in my 60s and have been alone for over 20 years. Kids are busy and on their own in different towns. I do meet some friends every couple of weeks, but nothing beats waking up with a cup of coffee or English Breakfast, or Earl Grey (of course with butter on toast 🤭), with my quiet self, and hopefully meeting Shauna on here for her pleasant chit-chat. Or even before going to bed if I see a new upload. I follow a few other KZbinrs out there, and though they are talking on the same subject, and though I sometimes still watch them, I now prefer to watch those who are not always negative, angry, loud, or whiny, or go on forever. Too stressful for a short life. A package of intelligent, informative, funny with sarcasm, concise, and pleasant voice is what I go for. Makes my day a better day. And you are one of my very few favs. I miss Australia. My kids did their Masters there and I visited a few times, big and small quaint towns. Lovely people. 🌏 Cheers 🫖🍵☕

You sip your tea and i sip my bottle of water 😂. River’s broadcast is very interesting and it’s very informative 😅. I really thought he’s a lady and I must say regardless he’s a lady or guy, he’s so beautiful 🤩. So I think it doesn’t matter if he’s a he or she, he’s just beautiful 🥰 but of course it’s up to him what he wants society to identify him💜

You are so delightful, Shauna. I love this gossip before bed. Your insight about groundhog's day of Harry seem so on point. Because he doesn't seem to learn his lessons from his mistakes so it seems like his life is just a repeat of mistakes after mistakes. And he even doubles down on them. so mind boggling. Thank you for a lovely tea before bedtime. Until the next one...❤❤❤

I have no doubt William is sick to death of people saying "Oh now, he's your brother. I understand feelings are running hot right now but in time, when things cool down and time goes by, you should give him another chance. Your the oldest, so you need to be an example, be patient. He doesn't have the same, um, gifts you have and he never will. You need to ask yourself what your mother and your granny would want you to do. They would want you to watch out for your little brother." Or some similar horse shit. I don't understand why people think that just because you share DNA, you are legally, morally bound to have a relationship with someone who craps on you any time it's convenient.

Poetic Justice for the toxic boss 👏👏👏👏. Yes - River's piece on the Sycamore Tree Gap was beautiful and so moving. Yes, I loved Enid Blyton's Faraway Tree tales; My hubbie and I read them to our boys when they were small. And I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that magical connection between trees and nature in the film Avatar (with the blue people).

This my 1st time for chat. Glad a regular thing next Wed I’ll be sure to have a cupcake tea as well & put you on the TV. Great idea & have always ❤d your serious show but this a delightful treat! That tree broke my ❤ as well. I cry even when the electric co just trims our trees. I adore River as well & glad I’m not the only one to mix up pronouns. I’m older learning all this as well. Our daughter 23 friends some I’ve known since they were born or toddler now have new names & pronouns. Happy & willing just hard to remember! I follow Cheere Denise she reads & we discuss books currently doing the book on Wallace Simpson & the abdicated King it’s Amazing how much alike the Harkles are to them especially Harry it’s freaky actually. Don’t know why Migrane didn’t like those photos of her they showed her during some of her best work!😂playing herself! I love the “chin wag” term. I live N of Santa Barbara CA Harkle county😪 anyway so ❤learning British & other countries words & slang & using in conversations here. The puzzlement on peoples faces is priceless! Take care have a great rest of the week!

I’ve also had TERRIBLE bosses- like a self medicating schizophrenic who constantly created chaos, one that stole medication out of my purse, a covert narc that made a horrific time even worse… (also quite a few who were life changers in profoundly lovely ways). I know nothing about this sycamore situation, so I’m off to research. Cheers from America!

Greetings from Florida...great program. Gossip I've read is that Harry and handler went to Portugal when Eugenie and Jack were out of town. Harry was wanting to ride so stayed at their home and Meg stayed in a hotel. On the idea for where Harry could buy a residence your thoughts were right on. A secured flat in a classy building is perfect or a townhouse in London. He's mlddle age. It's time to move out of his family's basement!! Thanks again for the excellent stories.
