Jared thank you for sharing your story and being an inspiration to us. Thank God you are alive and doing well today. The Lord answers prayers! This one hits home too since I work as an RD in a hospital

I see Trex everywhere this week online! Can't complain about it, always good time. And what a story. Sure we're more likely to be the average than the outlier, but every now and then we need that outlier inspiration. It's more than fitting that someone in the business of helping others through strength survived to tell the story of crawling through the trenches himself, to be ever better version of himself in strength and person. And the coincidence that he was a guest previously. Just the fact how wide his smile is all the time in this episode makes you think he knows something about life that you don't. And the message about working out actually making a difference in saving lives, not just in statistics. Everything in this episode was inspiring and couldn't have been scripted better.

I'm halfway through the ep, but it gives me hope. I'm rehabbing a compound break and two simple breaks. left forearm and the left heel. Bike, pothole, damn. I got time in the trauma ward, not ICU, but there's points I can relate to: - docs saying that muscle mass helped. - applying a training mindset to lifting. Specifically I was thinking that if Arnold can apply "reps reps reps" to rehab after his heart op, I could apply it to learning to walk with a boot and cane. I'm tentatively starting lifting again, cleared for light exercise. Jared's story gives me hope that I'll smash some PBs at my next comp, when I'm good and ready for it.

Also, my initial rehab on my left arm was "make a thumbs up". I'm joining you in step -1. Daaaaamn. I'm considering getting memento mori tattooed on my arm next to my scars :) Because I also choose life. And I'm goth.
