Today, Rip is sitting on the front porch with Ann and Essy as they reminisce about the early days on the land and prepare for the kick-off of our 9th Annual Plant-Stock event starting Friday night. This farm, as you’ll learn, has been in my family since 1685, and, in fact, is one of only two family farms in New York state that has been owned and operated by the same family for over 335 years! There’s a certain magic in bringing Plant-Stock back to its original home. Hear about Essy's Olympic gold medal and the story of how they first met.

Became plant strong thanks to Essie, Rip, Jane and Ann. Lost 50 lbs and down to 120 and have kept it off for a couple years so far. Thank you!

One of the finest families in the US! I adore all of them! So unpretentious, so insightful. I think they have done so much to open peoples eyes to living a healthy lifestyle by being “plants only”. So glad I found them on UTube. ♥️

Essy’s a champ alright, and not just for his prowess as an oarsman. His work in reversing heart disease is both pioneering and eye-popping. He has called me a couple of times here in Canada to give me some help with my 70 years of type 1 diabetes and CVD. He’s kind of stern at times but unfailingly gracious and generous. Not to mention a nuanced sense of humour. Is there any reason why we can’t get this guy nominated for a Nobel Prize? I’d certainly be happy to work on such an effort. Maybe include Dean Ornish as well for his contributions as well. Terry Swinton. Toronto

Nice seeing good people being good, down to earth people. These are they type of personalities and families I grew up with and try to surround myself with. Sometimes I wonder why the world has had to get so complicated and full of hostility. Life is a good life to be lived and enjoyed together. And of course Plant strong. 🥦

I was born and raised in Rochester, NY. Essy kindly called me years ago when I was struggling really bad with a blown endocrine system that triggered severe hypoglycemia to the point I could not eat ANY carbs and had to quit being vegan for a few years. I sadly missed his call, but what an incredible thing to do. I had emailed him about my depressing plight. Thankfully, I am back to vegan now.

I watched the whole video. What a beautiful couple Ann and Essy are and what a legacy they have created. I loved the passionate recollection of Essy's Gold Medal win, but the last three minutes sum up their contribution the best. Thank you all for your continued work. My husband and I are 100% plant-based for 14 months now and loving it! It has never been easier to live this lifestyle. I was vegan from 1998-2003, but sadly slid back into the SAD, but now there is no going back. I wish we could find a supportive medical community to embrace this lifestyle and just may find ourselves coming to Cleveland to do so!

As an Australian born an raised in Sydney it was lovely to hear Essy's story about the 1956 Olympics in Australia. Been vegan for over 4 years now. Best decision I have ever made for the animals & amazing health outcomes. 65years old & on no medication. Lost 33lbs in about 7 months. Osteoarthritis in most of my joints since my 40's gone in 4 months. More energy, sleeping better. I feel better than I can ever remember. Bless you & your family for all that you do for better health outcomes for the people who's lives you touch.

Now live in California. I miss Upstate it so much! Whenever I’m having a hard time stating PLANT 🌱 STRONG 💪 I watch Jane and mommy as she so affectionately calls her. Or a Rip video. I have some real health issues to overcome Multiple Sclerosis being one of them. I refuse to take the medication they want to put me on . I’m so thankful to your family . For giving so much of yourselves to us. The only time I feel good is when I’m eating Plant Strong !

Absolutely loved hearing about Dr Esselstyn's life. Am a great fan of your entire family; all doing wonderful work for us all. I have really embraced the plant-strong life especially as a result of Dr. Esselstyn. Loved the story of your Rowing gold medal at the 1956 Olympics, especially being a 7 year old Australian growing up in Melbourne at that exciting time. My youngest son, now 36, rowed at Melbourne High School for 4 years and I can attest to the friendships and values instilled from this sport. Thank you Ann & Jane, love your cooking demonstrations. I have, and value your 2 books, also Rips. Thank you all!!

Wonderful! The story of “seconds” he tells 53:30-56:06... I once found myself in a very similar situation in Lithuania, but as luck would have it, this lady was very, very catholic. So I said: But ma’am... gluttony is one of the deadly sins! (Whereupon I was absolved.)
