►► We are still completely demonetized. For those who didn't see it, KZbin has completely demonetized this channel due to "Reused Content", with no warning and no strikes. Our appeal has been submitted, and we believe we can win that appeal, but it's taking longer than we thought. We are supposed to hear within 14 Days. If for *some* reason we lose the appeal, we don't believe the channel can continue forward. In the mean time, we greatly appreciate everyone who has supported us through our Patreon! This is outrageous. KZbin has a horrible history of loving you one day and going against you the next with no good reasons or intentions a lot of the time. I pray you guys will win this appeal as I’ll be devastated if you guys are forced to delete this channel after a lot of hard work put into it last year and the blood, sweat, and tears into it making it. Please know me and others will still be there to support you all in anyway we can. Much love. 🙏🤞🫂♥️

OMG, Eternal Champions is a major blast from the past! I remember me and my old man playing this game back when I was a kid. Out of nowhere, my dad triggered an overkill out of nowhere at the Atlantis(?) stage and saw my character (Xiaver, IIRC) getting eaten alive by piranhas. The looks on our faces that day was priceless! I even remember resetting the game to see each character destroy the sega logo.

I found the game to be too difficult, mostly because the computer blatantly cheats. They can use their specials as much as they want, even if their special meter is empty. There's also how getting defeated sends you back a fight or two instead of having a continue system. The training modes are cool, but it's weird how you can set the difficulty in the training mode but not chose a difficulty for the main game.

My family got back into the states in 94 and it was like a completely different world I had just got Sonic 2 but Sonic 3 was a thing, Mega Man had become Mega Man X, and Power Rangers and the X-Men where eveywhere. A part of me saw 1993 as the golden year for the 16-bit era. But now, with a year's long retrospective of this channel (and a good long while of me being in the retro gaming hobby), I've gotta say I'm more stoked for 1994's coverage. Mega Man 6 (and X1 ig but I prefer X2+3), Castlevania Bloodlines, Donkey Kong Country, Samurai Shodown 2, King of Fighters '94, Super SF II Turbo, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, etc. These have come to define this era for me, and I can't wait for their episodes in the coming future. Cheers and happy holidays, PrJerd and Dylan!

Thank you for enlightening our Fridays. Thank you for buttering my 90s video game knowledge further. And thank you for adding my name in the "Oh, what the heck..." section. :) 1994 is looking bright with some major historical pillars of video games. Speaking of which... 334 days until Donkey Kong Country... and Happy Holidays.

Since the start, I have loved this series/channel. What is "reused" about a channel that cover old video games? This is literally a history-based channel! Come on KZbin, get your act together for a change.

Happy Holidays Jared, Dylan and David. I hope the demonetization situation works out soon. I guess maybe you'll have to figure out a good way to disguise your commercial clips. Maybe it won't pick it up if you rotate it like 4 degrees and have an animated background around the edges of the video or something.

Just that short montage reminded me just how many classic games I remember from 1994! So many there even if some were not my type of game. Yes I was an SNES kid so some are obvious. Oh man this next year is going to be nostalgic 😊

Nice '94 montage! I saw Snatcher in there! My all-time favorite game! The fact that this game has been all but lost to time is an absolute crime against humanity.

I thought I would see Metal Combat: Falcon's Revenge for this week, so I'm hoping it'll be covered in a later episode. It is the single best reason to own the Super Scope. It's a sequel to Battleclash that adds new mechanics, a second playable mech, multiple endings, and a versus mode where someone can play as the on screen robots that's unbelievably fun. It is easily the most underappreciated Nintendo game of all time.

Tony Meola's Sidekicks unlocked a hidden memory. I used to have that game as a kid, but I didn't play much of it. But my dad did. He's a huge football fan, and there were times I wanted to play Mario World, but he was playing Tony's Meola's Sidekicks, but I wouldn't complain, I'd just watch him play and react as if it were a real football game. Fun times. Sad to see it relegated to a Dylan autopilot montage, but nice to see it mentioned at all, unlocking that small nostalgic memory.

Ninja Turtles on the SNES was a good time. My cousin had it, and we played it at the family get-together one Thanksgiving or Christmas.

That activator commercial was so 90s I instantaneously grew an AC Slater curl mullet. Actually using that POS for more than 30 seconds would be unprecedented, much less 2 player head to head

My favourite thing about Eternal Champions is how it has various fighting locations from throughout history and one of them is literally just a McDonald's parking lot. I mean, they changed the logo but you still can easily tell it's a McDonald's just from the architecture, back before they started turning McDonald's restaurants into bland boxes roughly a decade and a half later. My biggest gaming memory of 1994 was passing by an arcade in Montreal somewhere on Rue Ste-Catherine near Complexe Desjardins and Place des Arts sometime in the later part of the spring or early summer and seeing a little bit of a crowd. They had a brand new Daytona USA machine with a large screen facing out towards the street and, at the time, it was like seeing a game from the future. Ironically, I don't think I ever actually got around to playing Daytona USA, I didn't have a lot of change with which to be able to play arcade games in 1994 and I think Daytona USA was a full "Loonie" (Canadian dollar coin) to play, I never got a Sega Saturn, and, once we had a Dreamcast, there were more sophisticated racing games like Metropolis Street Racer, Ferrari F355 Challenge, and Test Drive: Le Mans. My top Sega Genesis game of 1994 was mentioned in this episode, but it wasn't really shown in the sequence of 1994 games at the end but rather it was mentioned in passing earlier in the video: Dune II: The Battle for Arrakis. I also like Shining Force II.

Got to love the 90's commercials more interested in being edgy than in showing what the heck are they actually selling. That Eternal Champion's one could barely force itself to show like 10 seconds of the game. Hope you all have a happy holidays. EDIT: 13:33 Not being a fighting game connoisseur, I was kinda amused (yet not surprised) when seeing that Mai Shiranui has an aerial attack in which she dives boobs first into the enemy's face.
