This is the first in a chronology of ranking videos based around every plant in Plants VS Zombies 2. First, of course is Ancient Egypt. Of course, because it's the first world in the game, it offers some plants that are not only useful, but important. But which is the Tutankhamun of PVZ?

My list: 7. Bloomerang - good idea, but useful very rarely, when you don't have too much choice anyway, his PF effect is lame and plant is totally overpowered by other area-of-effect plants such as laser bean 6. Twin sunflower - isn't it better to just plant two sunflowers at lower cost? Useful only in sun-produce levels 5. Grave buster - I'm pretty neutral at this one. It does it's purpose, it's free and very, very useful at levels with graves (altough Egypt is easier than dark ages without him) 4. Cabbage-pult - I'm also neutral on this one. Useful plant, but in reality, absolutely nobody's first choice after Egypt (or not at all, if you unlock kernel at the start) 3. Bonk choy - I rarely use him, but what he is meant to do, he does awesomly. 2. Repeater - double peashooter, but doesn't have problem like twin sunflower has (more costly, slower reload), definitly one of best attack plants 1. Iceberg lettuce - it's free, but saves our skins so much. Probably in top 5 best single-use plants and almost always in my plants list. Also, great PF

When given PF Bloomelang remove it fast with a shovel then it will do double damage. Plus if you plant it "in" zombie (for example gangartual) and give PF it will do a lot of damage. So basicly PF can be good if you chose to lose you plant, what is only usefull when you alredy have full field and a hell of a sun and when you play levels like boss when you don't pay for them.

The Lonely Mimikyu XXX Attacks way slower, but yes, peashooters are absolutely horrible and useless past the very very beginning. The point is cabbage pults are kinda useless past when you get better options, like kernel pult which is available very early on

I actually really like Iceberg Lettuce. Because if the plant food effect. I always saw her as something on par with cherry bomb because of her overall utility that way. But indeed, fire negates her, which made her a bit of a thinker when I needed that. But still... It's pretty high up, tho I recently started experimenting more, and I use her less now. I'll see what happens.

Here's my rank: 1. Repeater: i used it quite often between the levels, and your Plant Food is awesome 2. Bloomerang: lately, Bloomerang has become very OP when upgraded 3. Bonk Choy: I don't use it much, but it's a great plant against insects 4. Twin Sunflower: even with its slow recharge, I replace the Sunflower with it 5. Iceberg Lettuce: a good latecomer at the beginning of levels 6. Cabbage-pult: I only use it because of your Plant Food 7. Grave Buster: Only useful in two worlds, and unfortunately doesn't give me coins :(

My ranking: -#7: Gravebuster: Since Necromancies are basically mythical in Ancient Egypt, Gravebuster is not a necessity in most instances. Bonk Choy and Bloomerang does his job better. -#6: Twin Sunflower: Useful in the early game and Sun production levels, but Primal Sunflower and Sunshroom are just way better. -#5: Cabbage-pult: Basically Peashooter, but better fit for the Ancient Egypt environment. -#4: Bloomerang: If he were a bit stronger, I'd like him more. -#3: Repeater: One of my favorite non-premiums from PVZ 1. I didn't use him as much in PVZ2, but he's still good. -#2: Bonk Choy: Despite his weak range, he's very strong. Definitely a better up-close plant than Chomper. -#1: Iceberg Lettuce: Great stalling plant and one of the most useful Plant Food abilities in the game. He's one of the only plants I used consistently throughout the game, which is saying something.

My list (2021 updated): #7: Grave Buster (Completely situational. It isn't useless or useful.) #6: Cabbage-pult (It's useful in the early game but as you go further you almost never need it.) #5: Bloomerang (Unique attack pattern and good damage, but outclassed by other AOE plants like Lightning Reed and Laser Bean. However, it's still somewhat useful.) #4: Twin Sunflower (It's a good sun plant and is a good replacement for the regular Sunflower. But eventually you get the mushroom edition, thus making this a bit useless.) #3: Repeater (Yes. It's pretty good for damage even though it's just two Peashooters. The Plant Food effect is also pretty good.) #2: Bonk Choy (The damage is great. Very quick in terms of damage. It's very good.) #1: Iceberg Lettuce (It's very good for slowing zombies down. However one world renders it useless, but everywhere else, it's actually amazing. Not to mention you unlock it very early in the game and it costs less than the Potato Mine, which can defeat zombies even though the Iceberg Lettuce cannot. So, without any doubt, Iceberg Lettuce is awesome.)

My tier list on Ancient Egypt. 7: Twin Sunflower-Very Rarely Used, Expensive and is also bad on Dark Ages 6: Bloomerang- A plant that only hits 3 zombies and is rarely used outside its world. 5: Grave Buster- Like your opinion, Its only useful in 2 worlds but unlike it, Its free and also frees up some space fir more defense and offense. 4:Cabbage-pult- Ok for zombies that are in between graves but dosen’t really have much damage. 3:Repeater- Not that bad in its world but can sometimes be a bit expensive. 2:Bonk Choy- Good for Prospecters and often used in other worlds. Very good in Jurassic Marsh’s Zomboss Battle and cheeses out other zombies with its Plant Food. 1: Iceberg Lettuce- Very Good in stalling. Only flaw is Frostbite Caves’ zonbies. Its close to perfect. Here's my list cause I decided to join the fun: 7. Twin Sunflower: Better to plant two sunflowers because its more efficient. Only useful in produce x amount of sun or you are using a heavy-farming strategy. I found it usable as a secondary sun producer. 6. Bloomerang: Only useful in its homeworld. Once you get laser bean, bloomerang becomes redundant. 5. Grave Buster: It does its purpose but its better in Dark Ages than Ancient Egypt. There are other ways to bust graves such as pokra, laser bean, gloom vine, etc. 4. Cabbage-pult: Useful. It deals quite solid damage for what you are paying for. But I don't see why you shouldn't use spore-shroom, melon-pult, winter-melon or dusk lobber. This is below repeater due to the latter plant food effect being better. 3. Iceberg lettuce: Vital in its homeworld and usable in Wild West to deal with explorer, torchlight and prospector. Has an excellent plant food effect. 2. Repeater: Pretty powerful. Great plant food effect. I find it to be interchangeable with 2 peashooters and doesn't face the problem Twin Sunflower does. 1. Bonk Choy: I actually almost never use it now and all because of Pokra. But before I got access to Pokra, Bonk Choy was pretty good. His plant food effect is excellent. He can also remove graves.

I managed to upgrade my repeater to lvl 3 quickly and i used him almost all the time, apart from Dark Ages, Big Wave Beach and Modern Day. 1 row of twin sunflowers/2 of primal sunflowers and as much repeaters as possible. It works almost all the time

If you level up Repeater high enough ( mabye level 4 or 5 ) and use a torchwood with 2 rows of them, thats effectively more than 8 peas in a lane. So I think Repeater is DEBATABLELY the best, I personally think it's an exact tie between it and Bonk Choy

New List 7. Grave Buster (It's very situational, but yes, it's free and is a great counter for Tomb Raiser Zombies, but otherwise, useless) 6. Cabbage-pult (It's basically a lobbed Peashooter with better damage [yes, it does 40 damage] and it also is able to surpass threats like graves in Ancient Egypt/Dark Ages, rendering Grave Buster useless. Otherwise, Cabbage-pult is pretty much outclassed. #5: Bloomerang (It's outclassed by Fume-shroom and Laser Bean, but otherwise, it's okay. I do not dislike it whatsoever, but it's pretty much outclassed and it can surpass shields [yeah!] #4: Repeater (Due to our lack of Gatling Pea, Repeater is quite efficient but otherwise, it's outclassed by Fire Peashooter.) #3: Bonk Choy (It's amazing, but, sadly, won't get any higher because its damage is pretty low per punch, but yes, it's good for soloing Conehead Zombies! It's a good plant, but still...) #2: Twin Sunflower (Good sun-producer, it's also affordable, but it's outclassed by stuff like Sun-shroom or Primal Sunflower.) #1: Iceberg Lettuce (Amazing free stalling plant. It does not cost any sun, freezes zombies for quite a good amount of time and it lets you produce more sun, and it's also a plant you unlock early on in the game! Its main downside is its slow recharge, but still, amazing stall plant!)

My list (Obivously it's my opinion, and it's also mostly based around the level 1 - 3 range): 7: Twin sunflower This plant is a really bad sun producer, there are much better options than it all around. Setup with this plant is just painful. Most of the time, you don't even need that much sun, but if you do, it gets insanely outclassed by two collumns of moonflowers, which produce the same amount of sun as twin sunflowers but are much cheaper and easier to setup. (Seriously, moonflower is so underrated tbh) 6: Bloomerang This plant gets outclassed a LOT by different plants. There's not much (or ANY) reason to use it if you have plants like laser bean, fume shroom, etc. The only time you'd use it is in the very early levels, which are easy enough that you don't need it, and after level 6 of ancient egypt you can just go to far future and get the superior laser bean. 5: Grave buster It's great at busting graves, and other than that, absolutely nothing else. It ranks higher though because for levels with a LOT, and I mean a LOT of graves it's basically required, and it has nothing that outclasses it. 4: Iceberg lettuce Now, this plant is not bad, but the remaining plants are just simply better. It does it's job well, and the plant food is great, but other than that, there isn't anything to say about it. It freezes zombies, and that's it's only functionality. 3: Repeater This plant isn't great, but not many plants here are. It's just a peashooter x2, but it saves you some space. Regular peashooter plants aren't really useful in later worlds at all because they are single target and have many weaknesses. But it does what it's supposed to do, and that's good enough. 2. Cabbage-pult Not much to say, it's cabbage-pult. Basically a peashooter, but with less weaknesses and a more useful plant food effect. It's ability to shoot over graves makes it a great plant in it's homeworld though. Some people say it gets outclassed by kernel-pult, but cabbage-pult is more of a DPS plant and kernel-pult is a support plant. Overall not too great, but better than the other plants here. 1: Bonk Choy It's not ultra-turbo-super-awesome, but it's the best out of all the plants here. It has a good DPS, and when combined with defensive plants like wall-nut it's great. It mostly gets held down by the fact it's single target, while many other plants that fill its role like snapdragon are not. Overall, ancient egypt plants are just okay at best and terribly outclassed at worst. I never see myself using any of these plants in any setup ever.

My Own Tier List: 1.) Bloomerang Lvl. 6- I know most of you thought that Bloomerang is not that useful since Laser Bean can easily overpowered him, but Bloomerang actually can be upgraded faster than Laser Bean by the fact that he needs small amount of seed packets to be upgraded in a certain level. Guess what, I upgraded him to Level 6. His damage is much more powerful than my Laser Bean which is actually Level 3. Additionally, I don't even need Grave Buster that much using him. 2.) Repeater Lvl. 6 - Well, I rarely use him since he was outclassed by my Peashooter which is Lvl. 7 because of its efficiency than him but when you need much firepower, he packs quite the punch, but I prefer Red Stinger (Lvl. 5) more than him. 3.) Bonk Choy Lvl. 6 - Well, I rarely use this plant also since I have Pokra and even a Level 1 Pokra can outclass him, but still, he deserves to be in this place. 4.) Iceberg Lettuce Lvl. 5 - he's my preferrable choice of zombie debuff here since he can counter Explorer Zombies, but as I unlocked Winter Melon and Stunion, I didn't use him that much. 5.) Twin Sunflower Lvl. 3 - I didn't even use Twin here because after it was unlocked, the boss battle was next but she deserves a place somehow though he is outclassed by Sun-shroom or Primal Sunflower and even Moonflower. I didn't put Grave Buster here since he is kinda very good support here in Ancient Egypt, but sometimes you don't need him especially if you think that you can handle those tombstones in early game. But if they were all level 1, this will be my ranking: Repeater Bonk Choy Iceberg Lettuce Twin Sunflower Bloomerang

Grave Buster (At least it's useful in one or two other worlds besides it's own) 5.Cabbagepult (Basically a Peashooter that lobs and personally after I get the kernel-pult which stuns zombies or the two melon pults I hardly ever use this plant) 4. Twin sunflowers (Having twice the amount of sun is great but can be hard to get them out quick enough to be your main sun producers) 3. Repeater (A double damaging Peashooter, that is awesome 😎 the only downside is that there are better later game options) 2. Bonk Choy(A really good melee attacker what else is there to it) 1. Iceberg lettuce (I just really like this plant overall, it's a good stalling plant that freezes a zombie giving you time to get sunflowers but it's plant is what really puts this thing on top)

Now that I just finished going through all of the Ancient Egypt levels, I decided it's time I speak of my opinions on each plant. Cabbage-pult will be included in this list for convenience. 7. Twin Sunflower: This one is a good idea on paper. It's just, that recharge time is SO DARN SLOW! This is a literal sun producer, homie. You need these in every level. And besides, it's its own, separated plant from regular Sunflower now, so there isn't any reason for it to have such a recharge time anymore. The recharge time aside, there are many other problems too. The sun cost is too much compared to the 100 you spend on planting two Sunflowers. I mean, isn't this one supposed to act like two Sunflowers? Also, you can argue that it saves space, but it's not even difficult to just plant two columns of regular Sunflowers, and you're not even wasting space at all when you're doing that. This plant is a good concept but I just never absolutely use it. 6. Bloomerang: Big fat meh. Sun cost isn't worth it. Gets outclassed by pretty much every single plant of its kind; Laser Bean, Fume-Shroom, A.K.E.E, you name them. I don't even use it unless Camel Zombies appear. It's just so uneven and obsolete. 5. Cabbage-pult: (Hold on lemme copy-paste what I said in the Player's House ranking) 4. Grave Buster: Very good at what it does. Even better in Dark Ages. Free to plant with fair recharge time. That's what it's supposed to be in the first place, gimmicky and exclusive. 3. Repeater: Two Peashooters in one. Now that is what I could call an actually reliable choice. It actually saves space and its sun cost despite being expensive actually fits what Mr. Two Peashooters In One is and does. What is most notable about the Repeater is its synergy with Torchwood, which can ever get more interesting if you plant food Torchwood, and its plant food power which, along with the Torchwood synergy of course, immediately KOs a Gargantuar. And by plant fooding the Torchwood, you'll also manage to be able to KO the Jurassic variant, which is double as tough as the typical Gargantuar. This plant looks super simple yet manages to be super awesome! 2. Bonk Choy: Underrated plant. Just plant a Wall-Nut in front of it and a Spikeweed/Spikerock for extra, minute damage. You'll have fun watching the scene. I'm aware Snapdragon is a better alternative but what if you wanted to freeze a zombie? What would you wanna do? Exactly. So this plant still has its usage either way. Also Phat Beet sucks. 1. Iceberg Lettuce: Zero sun cost, versatile, gets a nice buff when levelled up, has great plant food power. Now that I have commented on every pvz 1 rank video, it's time to evaluate pvz 2 plants but no need to compare an existing plant in both games due to difficulty and mechanisms. Here's my list: 1) Iceberg lettuce: The best go-to plant all time and it's a lifesaver even the plant food effect is awesome (yeah, I love ice-shroom but he isn't in this game yet). 2) Repeater: Another go-to plant to invest in. 3) Bonk choy: He can destroy the gravestones and the plant food effect is wacky. I love his uppercut. 4) Cabbage-pult: Not too bad I guess, at least, the plant food effect is good. 5) Gravebuster: Good thing he's free unlike pvz 1 worth 75 sun. He could be used in early game though the majority of the plants can already destroy the gravestones, so he may be situational. Avoid using him in levels which ask you not to lose more than x plants. 6) Twin sunflower: It was an upgrade for sunflower, now it's a separate plant. It may come in handy when it comes to produce at least x sun but who needs to waste 150 sun when sunflower already exists ? The plant effect used to be bugged 650 sun production but now moderate 250 sun production. 7) Bloomerang: Do I need to talk about this one ? Early game yes, but late game no. The plant food effect is useless (insert muda here)

You guys might see this as a stupid question, but...why would you use a Peashooter over a Cabbage Pult? Cabbage Pult does extra damage and lobs over obstacles. The only way I can see it being more useful is if you want to focus on a specific lane or zombie with it's Plant Food Effect.

Cabbage Pult does do extra damage. In Pvz 1, it can kill any zombie in one less hit than Peashooter.

No but the Firing rate is slower and worse against Chickens and Weasels because it will Miss the shots. At level 1 most of the time Cabbage is better but at Max or higher levels Peashooter will have a much better damage increase. So peashooter's way better at higher level

My list: Gravebuster: Only good for two worlds, and a little niche at that Cabbage Pult: Weak, slow, and just one of the least used offensive plants for me. I really don't like it Bloomerang: Okay, but not great, never your first pick, and is just outclassed in other worlds Bonk Choy: Decent, and a pretty good plant early game, but is a lot weaker compared to later melee based plants. Gets props for hitting backwards though Repeater: Amazing plant, one of the best early game offensive plants. Super cheap, great damage, fast fire rate. Repeater is always a solid pick Iceberg Lettuce: 0 sun, Instant freeze on contact, allows you to set up more sunflowers early, and completely nullifies so many zombies. Twin Sunflower: Literally a must have for me. I take it on nearly every level, it's my main Sun producer. Just one sun, and you have a Twin Sunflower whenever a round begins. Never leave home without it

My ranks (my opinion): 7: Grave Buster: While useful in Dark Ages, its useless everywhere else and I hate how in the scroll levels, they show up when there are NO MORE GRAVES!! 6: Bonk Choy: Idk why but the other plants just seemed more useful to me. Great behind a Walnut but nothing else really 5: Bloomerang: My OG while touring Ancient Egypt. Too bad I hardly use it after I'm done with Egypt 4: Repeater: Great plant and great plant food effect. I just wish it wasn't outclassed by other plants. Very useful though in Wild West in my opinion 3: Twin Sunflower: Great for getting loads of sun in the sun producing levels. I've played levels where this and the Magnifying Grass were my OG 2: Cabbage-pult: I prefer the lobbers over the shooters and the cabbages do great damage, especially with the plant food effect. Hurls over the graves too 1: Iceberg Lettuce: While not the most efficient to stall zombies, it has helped me get through the start of a majority of levels. Plus its absolutely free

Bonk choy is easily the worst melee plant and also has the weakest dps against a gargantuar, reason being that it will die before doing solid enough damage whereas repeater can be at a safe distance, pair THAT with a stunning plant and you're guatanteed to do more damage.

My list: Cabbage-pult - hurls over obsicles but better if there are no obsicles! grave-buster - only busts out graves for free sun SUPER lame. twin sunflower - Bru why does this sunflower cost 125 sun since 2 sunflowers cost 100 sun. iceberg lettuce - only freezes one zombie and plant food is good repeater - moderate sun cost but red-stinger is a better choice. bonk choy - punches zombies till they die,high DPS, can defeat regular zombies and imps with a few punches and throws there head off when they die. Bloomerang - can hit 3 zombies in its lane, makes camel zombies useless, epic power up and is the first plant unlocked in Ancient Egypt unless your in ECLISE mode because cabbage-pult is the first plant unlocked

My list: 7: Grave buster. if this was ranking the first (and original) 3 world of pvz 2 then he would be around the point where he was close to worst but not even at the middle, but i see why people think he's bad, for 1 he is not very useful in things out side battlez, egypt and dark ages, and 2 he's just bad. 6: Bonk Choy. now, people most likely will hate me for this but honestly i never used bonk choy often due to the fact that there are better melee plants like chomper and endurian, even spring bean is better then bonk choy (mainly because if the spring bean and blover thing which i now call the "bounce and fling"). and also the plant food is terrible. 5: Iceberg lettuce. this is basically if you gave ice shroom to not instanly disapear and nerf the freeze for the main part while keeping the normal freeze for the plant food. 4: twin sunflower. this plant (or rather plants since there are two heads) was probably the best sun plant you could get before the dark ages part one update and other updates made better choices for sun producers (they even made the worst pvz 1 sun producing plant into an awsome plant) but on the plus side the plant food is still the best way to get lots of sun of you don't have the gold bloom. 3: Cabbage pult. this pure boy has been one of my favorates since he can actually shoot over obstacles like shields and graves but he is not as good as the final 2. 2: Bloomerang. this plant is amazing, having the abilities to hit 3 targets at a time, throwing boomerangs through graves like a mad lad and launch boomerangs in 4 directions for the plant food ability. 1: Repeater. before i never realised that this was the plant i was always coming back to and i'm proud of my self because of it because its basically 2 peashooters with the ability of shooting 1 large pea to end their plant food effect instead of shooting twice as much (the most of repeater's plant food is shooting loads and loads of normal sized peas anyway so there is that). that is my list but my self along with some others aren't satisfied with the list enough though so number zero..... ... is wallnut 0: Wallnut: i love this plant too much. and also he is now the jevil of pvz thanks to "the wallnut rolling" which is a mix of "loonboon" and "the world revolving".

That's because you don't know about strategy. His very high Damage Per Second means he works best against Gargantuars when paired with Iceberg Lettuce or other stunning plants like Stunion.
