If you’re 65 years old and you’re not in shape or look good for your age, no they’re not going to think you’re hot. They’re going to go by your personality and if you can give them a better and stable life.

One thing also is that if you're retiring in the Philippines (or anywhere for that matter) then you will have so much more free time to go to the gym and get healthy/fit. It will add time on your clock and you will feel better in general.

My lovely Pinay wife really appreciates the fact that I don't smoke and never did. Also, only moderate alcohol intake is greatly appreciated. A beard is a no-go. A full set of teeth and good hygiene is necessary. Good work pointing out the facts! 👍

Things have changed in the past couple years since the "passport bros" became popular. There's a tangible resentment from women in SEA against foreign white men looking for relationships. At least in Bangkok. It's not 2019 anymore.

My wife and I are celebrating our 53rd anniversary next month. You are correct that treating your girlfriend with respect is a requirement for success. I brought her to the states and though we visited often there was never any mention of going back home to live.

3 reasons why Filipinas want to date foreigners. 1. Better genes for their future kids 2. Good personality. 3. Lastly, Financial status but it's just a BONUS. The first two are the most important that most Filipinas consider. Supporting Filipinas family I think is just a COURTESY if a foreigner decides to do it but it's not a must. If you decide to support a Filipina's family you may end up being abused and later on you'll get fed up and could be a reason for separation.. Remember it's not any husbands obligation anywhere in the world or any country to support their wives family and it's important that you make it clear right at the start.. Good video Mark. Good luck and God Bless 👍👍

Better genes - what a joke! I don't believe my Filipina wife care about genes. Although some Filipina want blue eyes, pointed nose, babies.

@@b.coxemba6799 in a post Darwin world, in a world in which 15 to 30% of children are not fathered the husband of the wife, you think women aren’t worried about genes? Maybe not yours, somehow, but biology 101 says otherwise

It helps to have money and be good looking. But if you have excellent communication skills, not only will that open up so many options in life anywhere, but you obviously will have no problems if dating is your thing.

Love your videos, Mark. I’ve been wondering about alcoholism, as I don’t believe you mentioned that? I get the impression that there are quite a few expats in the Philippines who may struggle with that issue.

@@everymanhasastoryI would love to hear more about that, especially stories of how it effected their Philippina partners and any other family or children involved. I’ve long wondered if there are many more instances of this than we might imagine, based on the videos out there. And, if sometimes it is the issues from unaddressed (alcohol) addiction that may lead many to leave their home countries, perhaps in denial of the real source of many of their issues.

I think it has a lot to do with losing your sense of purpose. Back before you came to the Philippines you had to take care of your family you had to go do your job, etc., and a lot of that is lost when you arrive in the Philippines..

I would assume only if you are. Sadly most men are not. If you’re not leveling up everyday something is wrong. I’m not talking about money I’m talking about who you were yesterday. Are you a better version of yourself today. FYI is only ever today. Level up men….

Well said Mark, excellent points. Yes hygiene by keeping clean and smelling good with appropriate clothing and no facial hair are good attributes. No smoking is also an added bonus. I will have been married to my filipina for ten years in a few months and even though we stay living in Australia where she is very happy and content we try to get back to the Philippines every couple of years to visit her family and to do some travelling of course around some of the islands.

Wow, the women from the Philippines who are looking for a foreign man want him to be at least 5'5" tall (as you mentioned)--that counts me out as I'm only 5'2" tall, which is probably shorter than a lot of the women there. I retired this year and also have a "side hobby" for generating extra income from working 5 hrs/week, so I'm financially stable and looking to do a 10-month exploratory trip to the Philippines in 2025.
