I'm so sorry you were bullied. 😞 And yes, it's the people who are different who tend to be happier and, often, more successful in life. Sadly, the internet has turned all of society into high school mean girls/guys. I'm really afraid that humans are losing the ability to empathize. Or even agree to disagree. (BTW, I love your theme song! If others don't like it, they can skip it or turn the volume down.)

I still have not figured out what "cringe" actually means, as in "please provide an unambiguous example", same with "empowered". They are vague words with just connotation.

I am absolutely, floored, devastated, and in disbelief that I didn't find your channel until now! just spent the past couple of hours binging your videos (especially gilmore girls) and I just had an absolute blast. You're hilarious, can't wait to follow the channel going forward! ❤ On the note of this video, just want to say you're really inspiring for just doing what you do proudly and the energy in your videos is electric! I also LOVE your theme song (and ofc your classic GG LALALA~✨rendition). Really hope to keep seeing it but understand if you decide otherwise. You made so many astute observations here, I myself have literally put off making videos or putting myself out there because of fear of judgement or embarrassing myself etc. especially after being bullied or ostracised in my life. It's hard to put yourself out there knowing that people on the internet often feel no shame or guilt in tearing others down just for the sake of it. I honestly admire you so much for making these and I'm so glad you do because they're just wonderful. Can't wait to see more! 🥰✨

Whenever I hear my children deep in their conversations there are times where I hear one scold the other for being judgemental. My children are 8 and 10. Since hearing that word come out of their mouths I have really looked inward and I am actively conscious of what I say and do and I try my best not to judge others.

Always love your take on these things... I think that some people are 'natural critics', they will ALWAYS nitpick at you no matter what so please do not take them on. Also I remember Kevin Costner in Black or White, when he stated along the lines that we all past an initial judgement on others but what thoughts comes after is important. I agree that we ALL pass judgement, but it is important to reason with ourselves and ensure that we don't be cruel because we disagree or don't understand.

i miss the time when every single thing wasnt considered cringe :(( idk its gunuinely heartbreaking to me like?? where are we headed. are we supposed to act like polished dolls who never do things that are even slightly considered out of the norm?? its impossible to have fun in life with these standards. i have a personality where i naturally just do things that people would consider cringe because guess what? I LIKE HAVING FUN. cringe culture is literally bullying people for having fun and being themselves, i dont get how people dont see how messed up that is. also sorry if i didnt explain some things well, english isnt my first language😭

Not that i'm defending miss bradshaw and her column but there's a distance in writting, to write one does 't have to be the embodiment of the story you are trying to tell, that may be odd in our times because of a trend in writting: fiction that is borderline autobiographical and on the internet where we see creators being their own self but really we should take that with a grain of salt, we see what is being projected. So we see Carrie's intimate life, it's interesting to see the contrast between her own experience and her vision of the world, a writer has a life but more importantly a writer sees, is a witness sometimes, a confident, because not everything is gonna happen to you. We all judge btw :3 thank you for your piece❤

Great video! I appreciate your channel and your voice so much. These conversations are great for people (myself included) to be privy to. Keep doing you, Kierra! Also, I'm at the point where I sing along to your intro every time now 😂 so catchy and cute (Edit: wrote before finished vid..) @7:58 YESSS! 🙌 I'm sorry that your high school experience was familiar with mine. You were cool first okkkkk, fuck them kids. High school imitates life like that, though too, about how you mentioned the trendiest kids are most known on tiktok. The dynamics of high school portrayed in movies is what the actual adult world can feel like at times. I'm sure, as well, it would feel discouraging to step outside of the box and not get a payout from doing that, but I think the pay out for stepping outside of the box can often times be delayed, yet very beautiful! And cringe can often sound a lot like shame to me. Food for thought.. I'd talk to you about this all day! Nodding and laughing my way through the video. I'm judgemental AF!

I agree, I think everyone is a little judgmental…we can’t help but compare things we see to our own personal experiences/standards for how things “should” be so if you see someone doing the opposite of the “standard”, you judge them for that. Whether it be something like politics or something as simple as the food you eat

I completely get what you’re saying. I think a lot of it comes from your character - you seem to be a very thoughtful person who wants to be as inclusive as possible, but as you said, generalizing is OK sometimes. I feel like I see “whataboutisms” all the damn time on Twitter too, and it just reminds me of guys who do the “not all men” shit. It’s like, if you see something and you know it doesn’t apply, it’s OK TO DISREGARD. It’d be the same thing if I saw something about white women and felt the urge to defend myself even if I know it doesn’t apply. It’s like, just keep it moving! Side note: I LOVE your content. Thank you for always being so thorough, I am a die-hard these days! ❤

Wow yes ty for that brilliant comparison I never thought of it that way I completely agree. I don’t understand how people think two people can completely be the same and how threatened people feel when everything they think and feel doesn’t line up with the person they chose to idolize. A hard pill to swallow when I found myself participating in harsh cancel culture was that celebrities and influencers are not anyone’s friends. They don’t owe it to anyone to consistently agree with everything just for the sake of making other strangers happy and when you get caught in that trap of people pleasing it’s hard to climb out.

I agree with the statement that Carrie is weirdly judgmental for someone who profits off the things Sam does (by telling the world about them). However, I'd disagree that she shouldn't be the sex columnist if she's not personally participating in all kinds of stuff. Sometimes a certain distance and filter can help make a better journalistic or narrative piece. Like Joan Didion who was in contact with the hippies of San Francisco but was not living that life style.

Wow this was good & made me think 🤔. Maybe you were an innovator, or an early adopter, & those around weren't ready yet for your ideas. I love your theme song !❤️. Why don't YOU create that music with emotions? We know you can. I follow a psychology channel where he talks about how there are more sadists, (people who get pleasure on causing others pain), on the internet than you would encounter or interact with irl. Since the net encompasses more people. You know the saying, you can't please everyone, so you might as well please yourself.
