@@TuckerWittenberg376 Let's clear up a few things. First of all, he is NOT an "elite" runner. A 2:18 marathon is far from being elite. Not putting him down or anything, but it's a simple fact. Next, nearly all truly elite runners are skinny. Show me a single elite-level marathon runner who weighs more than 170-lbs. Heck even more than 150-lbs. Many of them weigh 130-lbs or less. Eliud Kipchoge is considered the best distance runner in the world, and he weighs 115-lbs. So your statement is FALSE.

Hello Adam. I have been running for 8 months now, But I have progressed quite well (see I am only 14 y/o) I got my 5km pb from 22: 30 to 17: 47 from starting to my 4th month. I huge part of my training has been using a resistance bands to stretch my hamstrings, this has benefited me hugely and I very much recommend trying this. One of the best ones to use is stretches band from locker room fitness. My dad is a physio and he treats numerous runners all with tight hamstrings, fixing this makes their running feel smoother, makes them less prone to injuries and most importantly faster. When people say things like "oh well I'm more than you at this" etc, they not only hate you, they probably hate themselves too. Keep up the amazing work and don't let anyone else tell you otherwise!
