As a collegiate female runner who’s recovered from anorexia I loved seeing this video. And I think it’s so important that you noted it’s important to prioritize quantity before getting wrapped up in quality because that definitely led me down a bad path once. Seriously great job on the content!

They are just the typical gym bros with a nutritionist degree from Craigslist. Imagine trying to put a strongman diet on a runner, it’s absurd. Obv this guy eats a lot and he has a good diet. If he packed on muscle, that would make him heavier and slower.

@user-sg8kq7ii3y
@user-sg8kq7ii3y 4 ай бұрын
@@TuckerWittenberg376 Let's clear up a few things. First of all, he is NOT an "elite" runner. A 2:18 marathon is far from being elite. Not putting him down or anything, but it's a simple fact. Next, nearly all truly elite runners are skinny. Show me a single elite-level marathon runner who weighs more than 170-lbs. Heck even more than 150-lbs. Many of them weigh 130-lbs or less. Eliud Kipchoge is considered the best distance runner in the world, and he weighs 115-lbs. So your statement is FALSE.

Hello Adam. I have been running for 8 months now, But I have progressed quite well (see I am only 14 y/o) I got my 5km pb from 22: 30 to 17: 47 from starting to my 4th month. I huge part of my training has been using a resistance bands to stretch my hamstrings, this has benefited me hugely and I very much recommend trying this. One of the best ones to use is stretches band from locker room fitness. My dad is a physio and he treats numerous runners all with tight hamstrings, fixing this makes their running feel smoother, makes them less prone to injuries and most importantly faster. Please try this if you aren’t already

Building up to 80 miles a week for my first collegiate cross season. The miles are tough but getting all the calories back is so much tougher. Feels almost impossible to get enough calories from healthy places. I often find myself not hungry enough to eat the amount of calories I burn in a day. Nutrition and hydration can be the difference maker in the quality of my runs.

Forget the hate on how you're skinny. A 2:18 marathon time is amazing. For reference, your marathon pace is only 5 seconds slower than my mile pace. (5:11) I can maybe run a sub 4 hour marathon with decent training, but nowhere near a sub 2:20 marathon. Also your sub 14 minute 5k and sub 4 minute mile is also faster than anyone can even dream of. When people say things like "oh well I'm more than you at this" etc, they not only hate you, they probably hate themselves too. Keep up the amazing work and don't let anyone else tell you otherwise!
