I love when professor post the lectures and slides prior. I print multiple slides per page and wrote my notes directly on it, or simply in the notes section of PowerPoint.

I always take notes by hand so less chance of getting distracted. Those would be written quite messily on my paper, but once at home, i write the actual notes on the slides and then the things on my paper i add in, because those are usually things that are not in the slides but are important stuff that the lecturer says. Also it is really helpful is to label all your slides eg for my school it its lecture and tutorial, and by week, so I’d write Week (the number) Lecture or Tutorial then write the module/subject. This way if I need to go back to refer to something I can find it easier.

Buy an iPad with apple pencil and a cheap keyboard and you are good to go, I'm slow at writing my notes eventhough I love hand writing but with the apple pencil somehow I'm faster and it's very reliable. Plus with goodnotes app, even typing is made easier, I can work with slides from professors moving the objects to my desire and organizing everything the way I want it

In class I use the laptop because I can type faster. When I am doing notes and work later, I hand write it. If I want my handwriting and thoughts legible, I need time to write it. The typing helps me get down what the professor is saying quicker. That way I don’t get behind or miss info.

I’m following you from a while now and I can tell you that you are really a great person both for the Uni you are in and for the faculty you chose (I’m Italian and I attended the classical Lyceum with subjects like Latin and Ancient Greek). Could you please give an advice about HOW to take notes during the lessons as the professors speaks so quick??? I tried to do some notes, very messy ones, but it was still impossible to write all the notes I would want about that particular lecture.... Do you record the lectures and re listen them in a second moment? Thank you!!❤️❤️

Just to add, most universities have an online platform that lecturers will use to upload course materials. You will be able to download slideshows and catch up later - or check beforehand. So, my advice is to pick up things that aren’t on the slides. I had one lecturer who read from a really long piece of paper in our lectures and none of that was on his slideshow.
