Back in the day I watched Wayne racing for Kawasaki Superbike at Willow Springs. He battled with the new Honda Interceptor. At the time I was riding a GPZ 750 with a Kerker Superbike pipe. I was very impressed with the new Interceptor so I sold the GPZ and bought a Interceptor. Yeah I'm old. I am still riding and loving my 2019 CB1000R but am riding with much more caution. I was very lucky (when I was younger) of not getting killed doing the kind of speed I used to ride at!

I first saw JW at Scarborough on his MBA125 he was the image of Kevin the Gerbil back then, no offense meant. I think the TT media stuff is much lacking his knowledge, insight & humour. But most of all. I love his true lad in his shed love of 2 strokes. Much like Roger Marshall. He is real & hasn't disappeared up his self. Keep up the good work chaps.

Lovely handling of the rim's lads.on concrete,on the steel lift and actually use a steel hammer to drive it home.sweet Jesus,I'm irish too by the way and honestly after seeing that I'd get somebody who knows what their really doing to strip that motor.being mechanically sympathetic is priority when you're not a qualified mechanic. That machine deserves far better I'm afraid.mind her.

@@nickrider5220all noted but its impossible to get across the point how well engineered these parts were and if you're showing this to public then handle them as a professionaly trained motorcycle mechanic would.james is a hero of mine to be honest but I was a little disappointed.not that I'm perfect but he knows better . legend that lad but christ if I had the chance of building that machine.the thought of cleaning that engine without stripping it blows my mind. I'm just jealous I reckon!

Great Vlog Lee, l remember those days like it was yesterday...Mackenzie on the Banco Yamaha France machine, Whitham, Reynolds, Haydon, Buckmaster, Graves... all on YZR500's at the time... they were the Golden Days... Harris & ROC frames were the thing to have for the privateers (& Rainey). Definitely keep the content coming for the rebuild. Mr Whitham's enthusiasm for this period is immense & his knowledge is second to none, along with people like Clive Padgett...really enjoyed every minute of this, thks👍.
