Great video! No doubt it is a lot of work, not only to make the video, but also to add all the information about stations, bridges, etc.

Electrical problems, substation problems? For Cabview Holland, Arnhem is never a bridge too far. Although the Dutton Frost Bridge (named after the unfortunate colonel of the 1st British Parachute Division) across the Rhine is not a railway bridge, Oosterbeek, named after the superb contemporary Arnhem Centraal railway station on the road to Nijmegen Yes! Operation Market Gardent, risked by the overly ambitious Field Marshal Bernard Montgomery who managed to convince Eisenhower to the detriment of the impetuous Patton, was one of the greatest Allied operations of the Second World War. Its aim was to seize the bridges over the Meuse, Waal and Rhine in the Netherlands, in order to thwart the powerful German defences on the Siegfried Line and ensure the rapid Allied advance towards Berlin and end the war before Christmas. The operation consisted of two parts: Operation Market, which was the largest airborne operation in history, involving the 1st British Parachute Division, the 1st Polish Parachute Brigade, the US 101st and 82nd Airborne Divisions, and Operation Garden, conducted by the British 30th Armoured Corps and which consisted of securing the bridges captured by the airborne forces. The city of Nijmegen played an important role in Operation Market Garden. With its two bridges over the Waal River, it was of crucial importance to the Allies in reaching Arnhem and then moving towards Germany. On 20 September 1944, American troops managed to capture both bridges and liberate the city. Thus, after winning the Battle of Nijmegen, the Allies failed to capture the last bridge at Arnhem, which ultimately proved to be a "bridge too far". But never for Cabview Holland Congratulations on this superb journey, Greetings from Lorient, Frédéric.

Zero to 100 in five minutes, that is nearly a break neck acceleration 🤣🤦‍♂️ I recognised the junction after Maarn, you had to wait there for VIRM that was running late ! Plenty of information along the route, keep up the good work, Sir 👍

Another great video. Has anyone noticed that ProRail has launched 2 live streaming cams from Amsterdam Centraal that overlook the bridges it is replacing.

I did, just when I needed a shot from that point, for a future video about lion statues that ornamented the bridges :-)

The platform indicator at Utrecht Centraal showed 1053 + 5 Nijmegen. +5 presumably means 5 minutes behind schedule. Your on-screen caption was 1051 + 4. Wow, it has been a while since I've seen a video through Ede-Wageningen and that station has pupated into something else. A make-over just doesn't do justice to the changes. This journey just goes to show that hard acceleration isn't required to get up to speed. It certainly plays hell with time-keeping, though.
@CabviewHolland
@CabviewHolland Ай бұрын
The delay displayed on the screens is rounded to 5 minute blocks. I keep track of the actual delay rounded in minutes to display in my video. Rounded in minutes? Yes, our schedule works in 6 second blocks.

Being interested in trains, YT several times suggested your clip. Every time my reaction was that 0 to 100 km/h in 5 minutes is rather poor acceleration. Or?? So btw... The Koploper is, seen from my perspective, a very special train:) A favourite...

Was that train at 14:27 in the video an ŎBB _NightJet_ overnight train that originated in Austria? And where did that DB ICE train at 18:58 came from?

The NightJet has two parts from Vienna and Innsbruck. The ICE started in Frankfurt am Main.

@jschouten1985
@jschouten1985 Ай бұрын
Wat bedoel je precies met "ons spoor"? 🤔 goederentreinen hebben net zoveel recht om dat spoor te gebruiken als reizigerstreinen hoor
@DeBert
@DeBert Ай бұрын
@@jschouten1985 Het spoor waar wij op die tijd overheen moesten, als in: het rechterspoor richting Arnhem. Lijkt me duidelijk toch...
