This interviewer is great! She is so quietly confident - she did not feel the need to interject her thoughts constantly or even try to prove that she knew what she was talking about. When she did say something or ask something - it was meaningful and that was proof enough.

Feel the feel, then take the wheel…I’m going to try and remember this each day. Dear Oprah, you are just a beautiful soul. Yes, you are beautiful to look at but it’s your soul that truly makes you a beautiful person. And the fact that I don’t know you but still feel you’ve touched me is something I value and have so much gratitude for. I can’t send you a message because I don’t know how so I’ll just say it here and pretend you heard me…Thank you!

“One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. I'm not sure how you mean this but I personally feel bamboozled by Oprah. I used to be a big fan but as much as she speaks of spiritual connection and living a mindful life, her success has come from hard-nosed, cut-throat business tactics that haven't been so spiritual, faith-based or even kind to others.

Why does it matter how she looks? She is not in the business of looks. Just a bonus I guess, is it noteworthy? (In a world that notoriously values women based on their looks as opposed to other valuable input they have to contribute with?) - My takeaway would be - at age 60/70 Oprah has worked for decades helping herself and others understand themselves and the world in a more nuanced and detailed way. She has opened windows for people who were entrapped. She has looked into topics that have been buried by those who want to hide their traces. She has looked fantasic the whole time doing it but the value of the work she has done has been irreplaceable. No beauty comes close to comparing what this work can do for the growth of humanity.

Oprah provided me with free counseling when I desperately needed it while going through a separation and divorce around 9/11. I didn't lose my husband and the father of my 2 year old daughter in the Twin Towers, I lost my marriage through the lack of communication. How interesting is it that Finland is in the news but not for being happy and content but workers protesting and striking over labour reforms today. It just a matter of time that we all will experience a season of discontent. My faith in God and the pursuit of happier-ness for me must come from Him who gives me purpose and breath in my lungs daily. My wish is for many others to know why we are here and that God does exist!

Anyone who begrudges Oprah has not experienced living their purpose. There is a reason she is where she is. If an individual has time to land on a You Tube video simply to spread hate or discord, it says so much more about them. Our morality as a global society is in grave danger, and I appreciate that Oprah consistently dares to lead with personal truth, resilience, and contribution to elevating the collective. She did the work and offers it forward. Whether you agree or disagree does not negate this.

Love you Oprah! My happiness has always been tied to my faith and finding ways to improve upon myself in each of my most important roles: as a child of God, as a mother/daughter and sister/friend, etc. and all in Jesus name and for God's glory! I find happiness in using my God given talents to bring comfort and joy to those who don't have anyone else to lean on, to those who feel like an outsider, to those who are in their twilight years and are not being supported as they should. To educate those who want to help, but just don't know how. I am happy in educating the family of those who are ending their journey on this Earth, so that they better know how to care for their loved ones. I am also happy when I give myself time to rest, without feeling guilty for taking time to take care of *me.* In my church's Lenten Bible studies, which just came to a close the previous week, we talked about the "Hygge" concept of giving comfort to others in the community and I learned so much that I am *happy* to now put into practice!

I think the happiness slump is not primarily from envy derived through social media. The primary force that is bringing people down is the threat to democracy, the divisiveness of an entire nation on the verge of a cultural civil war. The political decline in the USA presents a real danger and an existential crisis to wellness and cohesiveness. This is very stressful.

With all respect for Oprah, I do not agree that we can ignore the creator and think that any spiritual practice would be OK to believe and to hang on to and then we can be happy. Absolutely not Oprah, I trust that deep in your heart you are aware of that. There are myriads of spirit in the spirit world, let the very thing that we trust and believe be worthy of my heart. Spiritual practices that can be like a bottomless pit and hard to get out, can cringe our soul. Especially happiness is endlessly connected to an outward thing, person or a situation where, when, if, but needs to be added to in order to accomplish at the end. I wholeheartedly believe that Joy is the only thing that makes a human soul dance to as it is rooted in our Spirit. When we are joyful it is also not limited to an outward thing, person or an outcome. It is an inside out manifestation of wo we really are💞💖💝...
