Outstanding once again! Question: Dr Cutbirth - do you use CBCT radiographs?
@centerforard6 ай бұрын
Thank you. Glad the videos are helpful. I sometimes use cone beam radiographs in the sinus area if it is hard to see the floor of the sinus for measurement on a pa. I will also sometimes use cone beam rads. in the posterior mandible if the vertical bone height is questionable. Take your practice to the Top Tier. How important is canine guidance?Does not having canine or group function affect a patient badly?
@centerforard6 ай бұрын
It depends. If the patient does not clinch/brux their teeth, they are not placing much stress on the dental system so ideal occlusion is not as critical as it is in a patient placing serious stress on the system. Similar to a person with one leg 1" shorter than the other. If the person sits in a chair all day they may not develop leg muscle, hip and knee joint problems. On the other hand, if they jog 3 miles a day, they probably will develop leg muscle and joint problems. Same with a person's occlusion/bite. I normally give a 2 day seminar on occlusion. Much to know and discuss. Canine guidance is normally the best for working side movements. Group function on the canines and bicuspids is not bad if the cuspid is compromised. Ideally the working side movements are not on the molars for stress reasons. Fundamental knowledge of occlusion is critical if you are to be a good dentist. Nice work. Do you have any recommendations for good in-person hands on surgical CE training? Maybe the Misch Implant Institute? Looking for good surgical training for a dentist already in practice. I’d take a course from you if you did in-person training!

I had a hands-on training center in Dallas for 20 years. Dentists stopped traveling to handss-on courses with COVID, so the center was closed in 2020. I started the online teaching center about 5 years ago. I do not know of a specific hands on surgical course, but the Misch Center has always had a good reputation.
