Correct me if I'm wrong but I think you can change the vdi screen to show where you designated with the nose camera... Or it may just be with a tpod

Good tutorial! You only forgot to mention that changing the VDI display mode allows you to see an enlarged vision of the location of the diamond. This allows you to see the targets from far away on the screen that usually displays the artificial horizon.

I'd probably use the CCRP equivalent for attacking buildings rather than vehicles. Also can you designate targets for Iceman as RIO if you want to play a full mission from the back seat?

I love the Cat. BUT.... It was a maintenance hog. It's a great airplane from a performance standpoint but man was it a bear to keep in the air.

Hey Cap or others in the know - why does my designator diamond not stop blinking? I cannot get it to stabilize using the fwd/PAL keybind. Up/Down works just fine though. Is this a known bug? Is unguided bombing currently borked?

Technically it should if you drop it on a known laze target and your codes match

Can you use the LANTIRN pod to designate targets for regular unguided bombs? I can do laser guided GBU runs fine, but wondering if you can say carpet bomb all the MK81s from 20,000 feet?

If your wings are in auto sweep, will they automatically position to bomb sweep for bomb runs?

No. You need to manually put it into bomb mode. In bomb mode the wings are fixed at 55 degrees, and don't move depending on airspeed.
