The building is on a corner lot in Woodland Hills California and I contacted the realtor as though I was interested in purchasing the building and the realtor came out to the property and gave me a tour of the building. It was the summer of 2015 and Joe's office was still intact same floor, same blinds same everything! The bathroom had the 70's wallpaper in it and original everything. I worked for a company on the same side of the street just four doors down. Eventually the lions at the entrance were removed and anything Weider related was removed. The realtor at one point even mentioned Betty by name. It was incredible being in the building and Joe's office with all of the history that took place there. I don't work for the company anymore but I often wonder what happened to the building.

Arnold's shirt is a throwback to the Oklahoma North/South All Star football game that started in the 1930s. Oklahoma high school players were divided into two all star teams and Arnold is wearing the South's team jersey.

A lot of this sounds like set up, scripted conversation to hype Lou vs. Arnold.
@JordanJacksonTyson7 ай бұрын
The hype portion of it probably was scripted, but the preparation and competition between the two of them at the 1975 Olympia was definitely real
@BlackAdder19706 ай бұрын
It was hype. Lou was never going to beat Arnold. You think there is any competition, referees, or judges that doesn't have bias, payoffs, or rigging at times?
@JordanJacksonTyson6 ай бұрын
@@BlackAdder1970 Sure. It has happened in various sports events for many years. Was there any bias toward Arnie during that time? Most likely. With that being said, Arnold still had the better physique during that 1975 Olympia competition. Lou was bigger overall, yes, because he is 6'5" and 262 pounds competition weight. But if you compare individual photos, or even onstage side-by-side comparisons, Arnold was much more conditioned and had better proportioned muscular development on his skeletal frame...relative to Lou
@JordanJacksonTyson6 ай бұрын
@@BlackAdder1970 If anything, Serge Nubret had the best change to beat Arnold. A better case could be made for Serge winning the whole thing, although I still think that Arnold was more impressive overall. Serge was amazing though. He reminded me of a slightly smaller Lee Haney...before there was Lee Haney.
@endtimer20056 ай бұрын
There’s a whole story about what actually happened to Serge Nubret leading up to the 1975 Olympia and I’ve heard several accounts one being from Nubret himself. Apparently there were ownership issues regarding the Pumping Iron script and what Serges involvement would be along those lines. It got pretty ugly and pretty political and the next thing Serge knew he was disqualified.. this upset him greatly and he interrupted his training and diet et al. Later, he would be allowed reentry and the rest is history. Total manipulation by the Weder Boys!
