i think the concept of staged content works in very much the same way as coercion. when you’re dealing with children it’s hard to really be sure whether they’re in on it or if they’re just acting how you know they want them to. their experience is so different and what is obvious to an adult isn’t always obvious to them. so imo content is never truly “staged” when children are involved. it may not be representative of reality but it can feel very real to the kids who are a part of it.

Remember when he terrorized his mother with rotting meat and blood and acting like Jeffrey Dahmer. He was literally pretending to be Jeffrey Dahmer and ruined his mother's life. After a while the dad got in on it too. Really hope it's all fake because if not, I completely understand why she is so angry at him all the time. He would literally hide meat in their house like under the floorboards and shit and just let it rot and it filled the entire house with corpse smell. And he never broke character.

@@jongininikim5219 this is slightly conspiratorial on my part, but I think that those types of "plot holes" are intentional. Yeah, him faking that he pretty much kidnapped that kid is fucked up. But why does no one talk more about the fact that Tony's father was half naked in a gingerbread man suit, chasing a child as "Gingerbread Daddy." And trying to make it as creepy and predator like as he could. Bro sounded like a child predator chasing the kid around. A GROWN ADULT. That man is disturbed especially when Tony had him fully naked, painted blue and had a piece of cloth covering his privates. The neighbor literally announced that she has children and its happened more then once. Tony and his Father need help.

I wish we were allowed to follow through when content creators "PrEtEnD To Be a ShIt PerSoN tO SeE tHe ReAcTiOn" Because so often they totally deserve the reaction it would get. If you wanna pretend to be a kidnapper, fine. Let's follow through, add him to the registry, give him a lifelong restraining order from schools/etc., and give him a surprise "catch a predator" and when he tries to weasel out with "nah, I was just pretending" we say "yeah, good job, you convinced the world you're a kidnapping creep.
