I bought one of these ages ago when I had no money. Everyone told me to just spend the extra cash for the real JSX, that the Bugera would just catch fire, but I decided to get this one anyway. About a week later we were sound checking at the first gig I used it for and my sound cut out completely (I later figured out it was an issue with my wireless). I turned around to look at the amp and saw tons of smoke rolling out around it. I ran to the amp in sheer panic only to discover a fog machine directly behind my cabinet. I've been using the amp for about 6 years with no issue.

Hot Tip: The resonance circuit is still present in the amp, you just have to wire in the pot! :-)

@@SpectreSoundStudios Well, the "resonance circuit" is just part of the power amp's feedback. Some amps have adjustable controls for those, some don't.

@@everythingcomputer It's been a few years since I performed this mod. But I remember copying from the jsx schematic so that sounds about right. I drilled an extra hole in the front panel for the pot, wired it into the circuit appropriately. Then took one of the knobs from the back controls ("line out" I think) and put it on my cool new resonance pot...... Happy Days! :-)

Ok, watched the entire vid. Disclaimer, I do own a 333xl infinium, so I could be a bit biased (because I do like the damn thing). What I didn't expect is how different the cleans sound from mine. Mine are crisp and rich through a Thomann Cab (with V30s). The lead/crunch is more or less similar, but I found it will melt faces when boosted with a Maxton OD808 or similar. The jacks are metal on mine, and the Infinium is more than a marketing gimmick. They actually let you mix and match tubes (you can mix EL34 and 6L6), and you don't need matched pairs because it biases itself. Also, on the back of the infinium there is a handy panel with leds that tells you which tubes are bad and should be replaced. I've had mine since 2015 as a present for quitting smoking, and it's been rock solid ever since and I use it heavily. I've only had to replace a fuse once. Also still rocking the original EL34 tubes in it. Glenn, if you ever come across an infinium version of this one, please give that another go. It really is quite different and a lot better.

I also have the Bugera 333xl Infinium. I got it new and had to return it right off because one of the tube led's was on. It sounded fine but I obviously didn't want to take a chance. Instead of sending me the tube they just sent me a whole new head. No issues out of that one and I have had it for 3 years. I also bought the 4/12 slant cab with it. The cab is "Ok" at best but the head has really impressed me. I'm playing mostly modern metal/Hard Rock and the head has a really tight response. Maybe it's just because I went from solid state to tube at the time but even my friends are surprised by the sound (Who have more expensive branded gear). Overall it just shows you don't need to spend a ton of money to achieve a much better sound than solid state. Does it compare to a Soldano 100 no. Does it sound better than ANY solid state amp yes.

Rudy Ayoub I have an original Bugera 6262 I bought second hand. Paid $480 aussie for it with an MG quad box I sold immediately after for $100. So $380 outlay. It has 6L6 output tubes and 6 12AX7s 2 channels with a crunch button on the clean channel I found it thin with the regular tubes it came with. I swapped out for some big bottle Electro Harmonix outputs and hand selected some 12AX7s and it’s sounding much better, however the lead channel had way way way too gain to be discernible much past 1 on the gain dial. I swapped out a 12AX7, with a gain of 100 in the lead channel, for a Mesa badged 12AT7 with a gain of around 60. This gives a more subtle control all the way up to 6 on the gain knob on the lead channel without affecting the clean channel. The solid state reverb is mushy, and I have been tempted to remove it and drop in a spring tank. The other annoyance is the gain difference between the clean and crunch settings. Final annoyance, is you need sunglasses to protect your eyes from the UV from the panel lamps on power and standby. I hate blue LEDs at the best of times. These are ridiculously bright and on a dark stage will put spots on your vision if you cop a direct look at them. Overall is a good sounding amp, but I would like more lows from it like it get from my Blackstar HT100, or when I drive my Marshall 8080 combo line out into a silver face Bassman 100 :-) Against a second guitar, it’s fine. Mods I may do to it: Replace the blue power LEDs with a pair of 12V incandescent lamps in series. Presence and resonance controls Spring reverb Separate clean and crunch gain Rewire the pedal to switch clean / crunch / lead instead of clean / lead / reverb Switchable lowered bottom end roll off from standard

FYI, the Infinium thing is an auto-biasing system. In other words, you can drop in tubes and it will automatically bias them into the proper operating range. There actually isn't an adjustment pot for the bias in the Infinium amps and they're not cathode biased but really fixed bias (like any Fender, Marshall, Peavey, etc.) but with circuitry to do the adjustments for you. If I recall correctly, the Infinium system tends to bias a tad on the cold side but not too cold, so that's where the longer tube life comes from.

I think you are misinformed about the plastic input jacks. You will see these on even high end gear. Plastic jacks are used on pcb board mounted hardware and metal jacks would be typically found on hand wired gear. There is nothing wrong with a plastic jack as long as it is of good quality. My guess on these amps if it were a problem was because the jacks were poor quality or the solder joints were bad.

Input jacks and tube sockets should never be direct mounted to ANY PCB period! They need to stop being so Damn cheap and put them where they belong (On The Chassis) Yes it will cost more but a lot of failures in todays CHEAP amps arise from these two very issues alone..

@Stefan- 5 жыл бұрын
@@shane011471 As a service tech for 30 years i agree that having jacks that are just mounted to the PCB isnt good at all, solderings are likely to crack from the mechanical stress in time. If they are on the other hand mounted to both the chassis and PCB like on my JCM800 then its just fine.

I suggest doing your research on the infinium... It's not only about tube life, its about variation. The amp auto bias the tubes. No buying "matched" quartets...you can mix a wide variety of tubes to get the sound you desire... So if you want to mix 2x 6L6's and 2x EL34's... then do it. No circuit adjustments needed. Only you swapping out the tubes you wish to use... I'm 6+ years on this amp no issues.

Great video as always, Glenn. I'm gonna defend the 333XL here. I had a first run 333XL head (I've also owned the 333 combo) and gigged heavily and recorded with it in the studio. You mention the Reverb being useless to you which is fair enough but you can 'programme' the reverb. Mine was only ever on the clean channel and worked fine. The crunch and lead channels worked well for me in live and studio applications and needed very little messing with while mastering. The build quality on my units were brilliant and I never had any of the noise you mentioned. Oh, and the noise gate isn't a proper noise gate but did reduce some hiss. This thing sounded great with the many cabinets I used all over the UK and in my experience was incredibly road worthy. The FX loop was handy too... I didn't use effects in the loop but I could turn the FX return volume up and it gave me a clean volume boost for gigs. I had a really good experience with all things Bugera over the years I owned them. They never failed me and worked and sounded great in all applications. Maybe I was just lucky but I guarantee there are more good experiences with these amps than bad.

I owned one for 4 years before parting with it. Changed tubes a few times with a higher quality brand and kept it in a rolling road case for its life that was padded. If you baby any tube head it will last longer. Thanks Glenn, this is still one of my favorite amps and I'm glad it didn't land the hammer of disapproval. Try out the Trirec one day, it won't disappoint.

Re: Plastic Input Jacks - My brother's somewhat expensive Gallien-Krueger had plastic input jacks and the input was inevitibly destroyed when when stood on his cable (alcohol may have been involved). It was made worse by the fact that the jacks are soldered onto the PCB AND they were a non-standard size and shape (offset slightly) which meant it was a total bitch to buy and fit a replacement. Re: Infinium - I think that's Bugera's name for their auto-biasing system. Colin #AllTheGain Scott did a video once where he swapped out the power-valves in his 333 (compariison between 6L6 and EL34) and the auto-biasing feature took out some of the ball-ache from this process.

I have a 100W Bugera Trirec infinium model going through a Diamond 4x12 with V30's and I really love it. Although I do have to spend quite a long time tweaking the EQ settings, it sounds great when coupled with a tube screamer on the dirty channel with the modern voicing selected. The thing I love most about this amp is the ability to get a warm, responsive tube sound and feel at super low volumes. I do this by turning down the return level of the effects loop and keeping the loop permanently engaged. I can then crank up the master volume of the amp to drive the power tubes hard, all while playing at extremely low volumes. As for the varipower feature, I just leave it cranked all the way. I find that turning it down takes away a lot of the warmth and headroom that you would otherwise hear in the sound. Normally I would never recommend Behringer products to anyone, as I just dislike a lot of their stuff, but this amp is an exception. I have not had any issues with mine and I'm still running stock tubes. I would recommend this amp to other players who want the Mesa Dual Rectifier sound at a more affordable price point.

I have played thru Mesa, Orange, Peavey, Randall cabs and it keeps up right with Mesa Rectifiers, Marshalls, and even Diezels in a live setting. I add an exciter pedal in the effects loop and it really beefs up the output. The one downfall I have run into is in colder weather it takes close to 15 min for the amp to start up. Not sure if it's the tubes warming up or what but that has been the only issue with this amp.

FYI, Peavey amps are now made in China also. I owned both the 333XL and the XXX. I installed EL34s in the XXX, it still has a different inherent tone; there are more complex mids in the 333. Bugera has improved infinitely, the infiniums are awesome. I have the Bugera G5 and an old Marshall JCM 2000 and the other guitar player uses either a Blackstar HT20 and a 333XL he paid $250 for. The JCM 2000 has a very known PCB issue- bias drift. The board replacement cost me 270$ on the Marshall. His 333XL has had no issues tone or reliability wise. The older 333XLs had an issue with a plug that went on the PCB that simply had to be hard soldered on to fix the issue. This is an issue that was fixed almost a decade ago so I dont know how people are still talking about this.

I bought mine brand new in 2010. Surprisingly, mine had metal jacks from the factory! Never an issue. With the bugera 4x12 cabs, it sounds awesome for live and the studio so far. The cleans sound rich, warm, crisp, and resonant. The lead tones are great for Alice in Chains-type stuff. I'm very familiar with more expensive amps, but I wouldn't hesitate to buy a trirec. I love that these amps are highly gig-friendly. The reverb knob is also a nice touch for live. The noise gate is very handy. No hissing in the Mic in between sets. I am, however, going to upgrade to an infinitum to save on money. If I can replace the tubes myself, I don't have to pay a tech. I can also switch out what ever tubes I want. The infinitum series has been out for long enough that I feel it is safe to buy one now. I love these amps, personally. They contend pretty surprisingly well with my others.

Why do a review on an ancient model of Bugera? The Infinium models are a huge step up. No fire issues, and the Infinium technology works. No need to bias power tubes, and you can mix and match any power tube that will fit in the socket. EL34, EL84, 6V6, 6L6, KT66. Whatever. It's more than "it means it won't catch fire." Not the most "honest" review, or at the very least an uninformed review.

I bought one of these used from L&M for use in my band, Melon Collie Caravan. We just use it for the clean channel mostly and run petals through it. Mo fires so far, and its been great! And before you ask, no, we haven’t had the chance to gig with it yet. We turned up to 10 exactly once, and our neighbours 3km down the road could hear us clearly.

That was a fair review. I've owned both the original and the infinium model over the years, never had an issue with either of them. I sold my infinium to a friend who finally had to replace the tubes about 6 months after the sale, bought it new 4 years previously, never changed the tubes, and it sounded great till they finally went. Loved all 3 burgers amps I've owned so far, cant complain about any of them

I've had the 333xl Infinium fot about 3 years now and it's been giving me the best tone I've ever had in yesrs. I have a 5150 but still use my Bugera because it just gives me that tight end I'm looking for in my playing. It's fucking great especially for when I'm in a Glam Metal band it gives me that 80's tone when I up the mids and shit.

I know I'm late on this post but I bought the Bugera 333XL Infinium about 7 months ago. I've had Marshall, Peavy, and even an Ampeg Lee Jackson series. All of these amps had issues with the exception of the Peavy, which was a work horse. Out of all of them my favourite is the Bugera. It's sooo versatile and you can get any sound out of the 3 channels which is fantastic. I haven't had any issues with it but haven't gigged with it so can't comment on that aspect.

I am not promoting my music, but if you want to hear what the exact amps you mentioned sound like, go to Audiosparx and look up Kinsey's Razor, those are all my songs and for example 'April Eyes' was all a 100 watt MG head for everything. Most of my songs there were the Randall RG1003 and Marshall MG100 head. 'Desires of Maria' was a Peavey JSX head. Just if you want sound examples, if you just want Glen's opinion, I'd also be curious, but to me both solid state heads are fantastic.

Only the first run of bugeras failed due to a Molex connector to the output section. The manufacturer used the cheapest one they could get. Once the Molex connector was upgraded there were no more problems. I have the second generation bugera v55 with the upgrade and no problems. The peavey ultra head is the best amp for what I play which is classic rock and blues. It does 80s rock great.

I’ve owned a 333 since 2012, it has never broken down and the only fault in it is a loose input that that I’ve remedied by running it through the carrying handle so it won’t disconnect if the instrument cable is pulled. I've had the 333 infinium for 6 or 7 years now. I did reflow all the solder on the board, I notice it could have been much nicer. I also switched out all the tubes, and switched it over to el34's, which is where the infinium is actually really nice. It self biases, and self adjusts current for a tube swap. I love that amp. One of my favorite cleans I have. I got the combo, and the speakers were not great. Not bad. Again, they do well for clean, but not for heavy tones. It usually goes out to other cabs, but I will likely be replacing the speakers at some point. I got it brand new for $300 dollars, so it was definitely money well spent.

That resonance knob mod was a hot tip indeed as well. If it sounds good, it’s worth the work. One amp that is amazing for metal/rock/cleans is the Mesa F50 combo or the head. You can sometimes find them for about $500- $600 and they are truly versatile amps. The cleans are absolutely stunning and the Distortion is comparable to a Mesa 50cal. I use mine for everything from stoner rock and doom to black metal and low tuned sludge metal. And if the bottom end is too fluffy for you just throw any TS9 copy and it is a death metal brute. All while being a Mesa that never breaks. It would be cool to see one on the show but they are hard to come by in some places.

I own a V22 (infinium). You get a one year warranty no matter what. I think within that time you’re eligible to register your product for a 3 year warranty, which I have. All the things you complained about were fixed with the infinium version. I've had one since they released it and never had any problems with, the only ones that "caught fire" (usually a plastic component that melted which doesn't necessarily equal fire) were the very first run (those horror stories that you've found on the internet is probably at least 5 years old). When it comes to mixing I've found that this is one of the easier amps to mix. Also, that clean channel sounds faulty, I've never heard anyone get that crappy distorted sound out of the clean channel of a 333xl before.

I am not the one to bitch around about Bugera Amps. I purchased a BVV 3000 Infinium four years ago. This is a carbon copy of the Ampeg SVT CL, it has the same feature, same preamp, same poweramp. I just ran into my basement to make sure, but on this particular model there are proper metal jacks for instrument input. The jacks on the back (for slave out, effects loop and two speaker outputs [besides one Speakon Output]) are metal jacks, isolated by washers. The amp is able to take 2 and 4 Ohm impedance. When it was new I took off to a tour over the south of Swizerland, Sout Italy and Kroatia. We did 22 shows in 25 days, our gear was loaded in an old truck, and I had no case or anything for the amp, so I wrapped it up in an old military blanket. Yeah, I had my Markbass LM II with me as backup, better having it and not needing than needing and not having - but the BVV 3000 made that tour and every other gig / rehearsal I used it. The best of it comes now: An Ampeg SVT CL is in Germany give or take € 1.500,--. The BVV 3000 was € 598,--, new and shipped. This makes it about 1/3 of the price of the original. The "bellyaching crybabys" at talkbass agreed with me, telling that Ampeg had cheaped out their SVT CL, and that it is produced in China, so there should be noi or only a slight difference. For a reasonable price. Second best: The amp is able to take every tube you throw at him, thanks to the Infinium circuit. I swapped the 4 x 6550 it came with original with EL 34 and 6L6 as well, and it behaved as expected. With EL 34 (TAD) it was tighter, not as much power/headroom as with the original 6550. With 6L6 it remindet me a bit more to my Peavey Vb3, but also not as much power/headroom, but it did not matter in recording situations. I came back to 6550 because this is the sound of the big Ampeg amps. For a somewhat tighter Ampeg sound I use my AMpeg V4b Ri, and I still have the Peavey Vb3, the beast that is used by Michael Antony of Van Halen. For resume I am only able to say good things about the Bugera BVV 3000, and according to other bassplayers who have tried out the same model or the Bugera Veyron that came out short timne after the BVV, there is nothing like a massive self destruction. And if there is something, be sure that Bugera handles the complains fast and to your satisfaction. It is a shame that the BVV 3000 was discontinued. But it sure did one harm to me: It made me mad about the tone of tubes. It made me haul an anvil full of tubes and transformers into venues, but it left me completely satisfied and with a massive tone. This amp sure stays with me, no matter that I own a Peavey Vb3 that is about less than half the weight of the Bugera - and an original Ampeg all tube amp, the V4b Ri, that is about 20 kg, too - and it is said that it is the "poor mans SVT". To be honsest, the weight is never the problem. I used an Ampeg SVP Pro Preamp with a massive Class A/B Poweramp for "ampeg'ish" sound for a long time, and this rig was about 30 kg as well. Greetings from Germany. If you have the chance, try out a Bugera tube amp, they are not as bad as those corksniffers allways say.

The cleans on the one I own sound great, it's just very clean sounding, almost fender-like, but it takes pedals very well. However, for cleans I typically like to roll the volume knob on the guitar down while on a mid-gain setting in crunch mode. Another cool thing about this amp is that you can crank the gain and mids on the crunch channel and scoop all the bass and treble, instant "telephone effect". And with the footswitch to go between that and the lead channel as the main rhythm tone, it makes for some cool effects. A neat little easter egg.

You know, beginners, the kinds of people that will plug in the speaker output straight into their interface simply because they never encountered concepts like load matching and impedance. Two of my friends have those and they gig them regularly and they're yet to encounter any issues with them…

The Infinium system is no bullshit, Glenn. The thing is, it works so well that no one is able to say "one of the tubes got bad and the Infinium system kicked in" yet! :D I own a 6262 Infinium head since 2012 and the other guitarist in my band owns a 333XL Infinium since 2013. They've done lots of gigs, rehearsals and "studio", and so far no problems at all. The Infinium amps have 4 red LED's on the back panel which will light in the event one or more power tubes go bad, so that people know which one was deactivated. One time we had a mouse "infestation" on our rehearsal room (one or more mice chewed up part of the leather handle in my amp and part of the cover on the 333XL, plus several cables that were on top of the amps), so before I turned the amp on I opened it up to clean the pieces of leather that fell into the amp and any possible pee. I had to remove the power tubes to clean in between them and before I closed the amp I decided to test the Infinium system: I put only 3 valves and turned the power on. The corresponding LED immediately lit up but the 3 installed tubes were glowing normally. So I switched the amp on (from standby), plugged the guitar in and, lo and behold, it worked!

Speaking of budget amps: If you ever get your hands on an AMT StoneHead amp, please review it! It's something very very rare these days: A good sounding analog transistor amp with no modeling crap going on. I use my SH-50-4 for rehersals and gigs, as it is light, small and won't blow any tubes. And I'm pretty happy with the sound. But I'm honestly not experienced enough for reviewing and recording it properly. I would love to hear what that little beast can deliver an i studio situation and if it's usable there. Bugera makes a quality product. Ive had the G20 Infinium for 2 years now and have never had any issues of any kind. On top of working perfectly fine since the day I unboxed it, its built very solid, its a small head 20 watt head but it has a very nice weight to it. Absolutely nothing about my $300 Bugera head feels cheap, in fact it feels like a premium product. So I can only imagine how much better their more expensive heads are like the one here. Interesting note, I had an EVH 5150 III 50 watt head, $1,000 product, I returned it after playing around with it for a day because it felt so cheap to use, the knobs were ridiculously cheap plastic that were super delicate and made adjusting volume very difficult and irritating. I happily went back to my Bugera.

I have a friend with one of the infinium series. From what the company says (for what that's worth) the issue with catching fire had to do with plastic clips used on the inside of the head. Supposedly that and a few other issues have been fixed. The tube life on the infiniums do seem to last longer, but I couldn't tell you exactly how. Something about power distribution between the tubes. Who knows? My friend likes his and it does sound and feel pretty decent for the price. ("FOR THE PRICE" being the operative phrase here.) I'll also say that it's a very versatile amp. There are convincing tones to be had for blues, pop, rock, and metal. Personally, I had an XXX for years and very much enjoyed it. The Bugera is DEFINITELY closer to the JSX than anything and offers similar versatility which I don't believe the XXX can match. It's also a bit quieter when it counts than the XXX is. Having said all of that, I'm using a Mesa Mark V and Fender Twin combination at the moment and you'll have to pry them from my cold dead hands. Anyway, as Glen said, it's a pretty decent amp for the money. It's especially great as a starter for a franken-amp. (I've seen a number of people do this and it seems to work VERY well.

Peavey Valveking VK100 mk1! It's absolutely necessary to shove something in the fx-loop, even if it's just a patch. But an 11-band EQ in the loop, with some pretty heavy tweaking, and a set of tung-sols in the preamp section will take it to another level. Had Mesa owners ask if I "finally got myself a Mesa". I won't claim it's as good as a triple rec, but it does kill for it's price with the right things done to it.

I have an old model 333XL and never had issues with it. I did however decide to change the cheap chinese power tubes out for Svetlana 6L6 reds and its a beast now especially for gigging. Only used it in the studio for brighter overdubs on guitar tracks which it does quite well too. I would recommend it especially if you got the extra cash to retube it.

Hi Glenn! Whats about Yerasov (also known as Fame)? Yerasov bulldozer 100w head is Mesa Recto clone priced at around 600 bucks for brand new. This company also has Yerasov detonator 100w head which is also clone, but at this time clone of something like Bogner Ecstasy with some modifications. It also costs around 600$ for brand new. Secondhand goes nearly 300 bucks for any of them in excellent condition.

I bought a 6260 in 2010 when they where brand spanking new here and i had it until late 2015 early 2016.. no issues what so ever and the guy i sold it too still uses it to this day. It sounds for some styles of metal better then the 5150.. but they are super duper similar except the Bugera one has less low mids to my experience.

Nice review as always, Glenn! I do have to say though, I got a JSX 212 combo a few years ago for around $650 and a quick reverb search will find both the heads and combos for around that price or less. Might as well go for the real thing and they won't blow up or have to be modded 😉 Plus the combo has both a reverb and resonance knob

Hey Glenn, I own one of these Bugera 333XL amps, except it's the "Infinium" version. Here's my take on the amp: Mine never burst into flames! It did end up shitting the bed, though. Something in the circuitry responsible for switching the channels occasionally caused problems, nothing that a quick turning off then on wouldn't fix, but one day it's stopped working. Now the amp is permanently caught between the clean and dirty channels, with the volume stuck somewhere between 1 and 2. It's a dead amp as far as I'm concerned, because it's definitely not worth trying to fix. That said, if someone is a on a budget, but they want a full featured 120 watt tube amp, this isn't a terrible choice. I played with this amp on a weekly basis with my band for a couple years before it died; weekly practices, rehearsals, gigs, and even in a recording studio. It's one of the amps you hear on our first EP. We play a lot, so I'm surprised how long it lasted. This cheap fucker of an amp worked. You definitely have to work a bit to dial in a decent tone, and it helps if you get an EQ pedal (in my case an MXR 10-band EQ) and an overdrive to really shape the tone. Your assessment is 100% spot-on, the low-mids are muddy, and overall it's noisy (get a noise gate!). So buyer beware, the "Infinium" versions may not burst into flames, but they can bite the bullet in other ways. Don't expect longevity with a sub-$600 head. But if you're an active musician on a budget this can definitely work for you, just make sure you save money for an upgrade because sooner or later the 333 XL will probably die on you. Cheers!

I beleive the switching is activated by npn transistors on this amp that look like this : circuitdigest.com/sites/default/files/field/image/NPN-Transistor-Pinout.png These are sensitive to temperature, sometimes you just have to nudge them a couple of millimeters left or right for them to start working again and no longer be problematic, if it's close to a tube or an electrolytic capacitor it can get hot. Look inside and just nudge all the ones you can find. Oh and remember you can electrocute yourself and everything.

@@riffsnreviews Hey man I might give that try. If I can get it working again I wouldn't mind having it around as a last resort backup should anything happen. Right now it's a giant paperweight sitting on a shelf.

To be fair, NPN/PNP transitor fuck ups are common on a lot of amps (happens to mesa as well among others), and I do believe that that is the problem with your amp PeJota615, a shorted NPN/PNP transistor than isn't switching when it receives voltage and then the relay doesn't get the required info, one of the most common problems when it comes to channel switching problems. That or it's the relay itself, less likely. So that really isn't a problem inherent to Bugera, far from it

@@PeJota615 Yeah just nudge them around with a chop stick a little, they should be somewhere close to the channel switching buttons most likely. Sometimes it does the trick sometimes the transistors just need replacing... and sometimes it isn't that lol

@@riffsnreviews Won't hurt to try (unless I get shocked :p). If it doesn't work I don't care, that thing has been sitting on a shelf in our practice space for years now. I got all the use I needed out of that thing. That's why I pointed out how much wear and tear it got. For the first two and half years of the band that was my main amp. Everything I read online said it was gonna crap out, yet mine soldiered on. I still recommend it to any young shredi knights on a budget, just know what you're getting into. The only bummer about it dying on me was that it happened a few days before a gig and we had to scramble to get a replacement. At least it didn't happen at the gig (2 hours away out of state).

@@b10t3rr0r En tiedä mitään Glennin ja T-Kaupan suhteista, mutta luulisin ko. kaupan linkkien olevan myös pitkälti siksi, että kanavalla on aika paljon katsojia ympäri maailmaa. Taitaa saksalaiset toimittaa suht. fiksusti ympäri palloa. Saving the trouble and inaccuracy of google translate, here's a rough translation: I don't know anything about the relationship between Glenn and the T-store, but I would think he links there because the channel has a lot of viewers from around the world and I think the Germans ship pretty reasonably around the globe. I doubt that Glenn is getting rich from those affiliate links. It seems the maximum reward level for the aforementioned store's affiliate program is 3% of the sales. So if I buy the amp through Glenn's link with the current price (415€) Glenn gets a maximum of 12,45€ (minus taxes etc. and who knows, his reward level might be 0,2%... I don't know.) And you gotta make some money if the idea is to live off youtube.

Jet City is a different story by the way, some of their amplifiers were designed by Mike Soldano himself, but with the goal of making affordable versions of the Soldano amps, for example the JCA22H, JCA50 and JCA100HDM (which is a monster).
