I remember the days when i was young, we used to steal backyard free range chickens from our neighbors. We used nylon as a trap, attached to a small branch of bushes and put small pieces of rice to attract chickens. Once we got one, we instantly remove its feather and cook as chicken soup. Me and my friends enjoy the meal with a thrill and excitement as we might get summon from our village authorities if the owner get the information and reported to the authorities. As Asian, this type of video is so nostalgic and brings back my foolishness childhood moments in the Philippines . I would definitely volunteer to eradicate or control the population of these chickens if i live in this place.

I’d be making a lot of fried chicken, chicken n dumplings, roast chicken, BBQ chicken…and on and on. For Pete’s sake, Chickens are FOOD! And all those eggs they lay are going to make more chickens, not being human food. That’s the problem right there . Uncontrolled chicken reproduction. And there are hungry people in America! It doesn’t take a rocket science to see that if you set up the system to do it, you could cull excess chickens, send them to slaughter and donate the meat to people who need food. If you did it quietly I don’t think people would miss the chickens, or notice that the number of chickens was decreasing …until it was too late. Just don’t make it a public issue, or broadcast what you are doing. Just do it.

@@muhammadsyafiq1004 There is a papaya chicken recipe that makes it edible, but still ....... not good chicken. I just don't think most westerners realize how different actual wild chicken is, they think this is "free range" but it's not even a breed you would raise for eating in a free range situation. Point is, ppl in this chat think the simple solution is dinner= less chickens. That just isn't how it would play out seeing as how chicken is cheap to buy and it's been slaughtered and butchered for you and it tastes way better than jungle fowl that eats from dumpsters.

Not true, I've raised birds for a long time now and for one thing, nobody eats rooster unless it's caponized and less than eight months old. The French have a famous recipe, Coc a Vin, that's meant to make an adult rooster palatable, it doesn't work and people make it with broilers instead. Now I think modern broilers are engineered Frankenstein birds, so I use standard multi use birds for meat and established layers for eggs.

@@abby3373 That solution doesnt usually works tho... Usually the original regions that harbored this species want nothing to do with them and wont accept them for several good reasons... Lets take for instance, pabro escobar's cocaine hippos, thats a very popular case... Some people advocated to return them to africa, however: 1) The hippos that now live in Colombia, have contracted several parasitic diseases that are endemic to Latin america, bringing them back to africa would bring all those diseases to their own populations. 2) Habitat loss: there is really no habitat for them to return to, in africa itself hippos habitat has shrinked as a result of human intervention, so there's no free space for them, that isn't a farm sadly (in the case of the chickens). 3) Invasive species whos genetic line originated from a limited pool of forebearers are endogamic, pocket populations like this are more vulnerable to diseases and other congenital problems. Not sure how well that translates to our chickens here but, you can get an idea.
